I have coarse, dry, curly hair and have been using brylcreem for over a year. It is wonderful, by adjusting the amount you can control the shine, yet it always keeps your hair moisturized and easy to manage.
Glad you said it! Brylcreem does rock. I use that stuff in High School in the 80's, and it does give an excellent classic and natural pompadour. My hair was just like Gene Vincent hairstyle. Anyway, good video, man. 👍🏻
My thoughts exactly. They roughly have a very similar hold and styling performance, but Murray's SL has better shine and much easier washability. RC though, has a better buildup and more product in a tin. Each have their own advantages compared to the other but are relatively similar, good base standards for each other.
Hey Cameron. I'm wondering if you've done a hair care video. Although there are many hair types I'd like to be pointed in a direction or inspiration from your point of view. Like how often you shampoo, if you shampoo, favorite brands etc.
I got my royal crown in the mail today and in the few months I’ve used pomade now I’ve tried a lot both new and classics , royal crown is maybe the best classic pomade I’ve tried so far, I’m a huge fan of light hold pomade and the 1930s and 40s so low height and slickness is my thing, black and white is on a solid second cause it locks into place kind of , like rc but royal got to win! Mostly for that intense shine and low height but a light pomade u don’t need to recomb often? Got to love that....and the amount u getq😅😅😅 the boys in memphis really know How to sell big amounts! Both rc and b&w😍😍
Hi Cameron need advice I'm new to pomade I have very curly wavy hair and going to cut my hair in a slick back what pomade would you recommend that will hold my hair back for sure
In Germany we have a light styling cream called „brisk“ i guess it’s kinda similar to the groom & cream except it looks more creamy and white. Btw. This is the oldest styling product that is still in production today.
Dominik Pracht In my opinion, it's more similar to Brylcreem (which comes in a tube in the US) but Brisk isn't really shiny. I actually did a review on that. Groom & Clean actually looks like a blue gel
As a true Englishman I find that Brylcreem whilst a classic, does cause a fair amount of flaking and dandruff. Sweet Georgia Brown should be well up there and Sua Vecito is well worth a try. Try them.
Royal Crown, Murray's Super Light and Black & White are probably my favorite classic pomades. I love Brylcreem as well. Your next Top 5 video should be Top 5 Homebrews!
Adam Canada Pomade keeps your hair moisturized so there's no nees to condition unless you want to degrease. If you are an oil based pomade user, I suggest only rinsing your hair (no shampoo) every day, and once a week, degrease. Do this by putting a deep cleansing conditioner in your hair for at least 15 minutes, comb some of it out, rinse it off in the shower then shampoo as normal. A lot of pomade should come out and shampoo again if necessary.
Hey Cameron what would you say would be the best pomade for Brad Pitts undercut from fury? I'm struggling to find something that holds well, I would prefer a water based one! If you could give me a few of the best to try that would be great! Thanks.
brylcreem is nice for thin hair that holds back easy my hair is so strong even wenn i was young it even pushed back a hand full of super strong gel from high brands i use strong pomade works and looks the best evryone there own favorite mines murrays extreme pomade
Hey man. When u did the Johnny cash pompadour and Elvis one could you please try and do a Waylon Jennings hair style tutorial If by any chance you do he used brylcreem ☺ cheers man
Liking the beard man. I got some beard envy. Anyways, I like dax wave and groom. It's one of my favorite products when my hair is a bit shorter, but right now it's gotten a bit, uh, poofy. Black & White... I liked it at first, but it doesn't seem to work well for me for some reason? Maybe hair's just way too thick. Royal Crown... has never once worked in my hair, and it is the pomade, not the hairdressing. Groom & Clean is alright but I haven't needed to use it in a long time. Brylcreem is also quite nice, but again not the way my hair is now. Way too light for my thick, curly, poofy hair. Basically what I've gotten from this video is that I need a haircut.
Man, Cameron. You made go full inside in pomade world and i owe you that. I think you should review of Murray's Exelento (the axed yellow square can). That's definitively a real classic (speaking of classics on this vid) i think i deserves a chanche because it's a very underrated pomade. Anyway, just a suggestion man. Keep on grease.
john marston I did a review on that and currently my video on that is the only one on UA-cam. One of my favorite light-mediums and one of the shiniest out there, good control and subtle buildup. Performance-wise it's the same as the one in the purple tin except that it has mineral oil and smells better.
Brylcreem is brilliant also for breaking down the pomade when I have a client turn up with product already in his hair. I’d like to see a group of Top 5’s eg Best USA, Best from Oz, Best from UK and Best from Europe. So a series of posts.
Have you reviewed Cock Grease recently. I used to use the medium hold but since they have change this it now has absolutely no hold and the heavy is so heavy and dry I can barely get it in my hair with pulling it all out. Such a shame. They should of left things the way they were
You should do a Brylcreem video, that'd be great! Another +1 for Black & White and Royal Crown. I often use both of them together, B&W for the strength and Royal Crown on top for the shiny part.
Anders Olofsson It's no longer in production so it's super rare, as rare as Dixie Peach. Honestly I think you'll barely get any luck because it's not around anymore.
Murray’s pomade is the Mack-Daddy of all pomades. How dare you insult its effectiveness lol although, Murray’s just recently changed their formula and it screwed it up. Which is why I’m watching this video lol going to try Royal Crown next, I believe
Will brylcreem keep my hair up though? I have pretty much the same hairstyle as you Cameron, but I push the sides back. Can brylcreem maintain that style?
Mikey Condry You'll definitely get some wave action but embrace that. If your hair is fine then I think it should be alright. Anyway, you're doing a contour and your hair sounds relatively long so it should be alright
Mikey Condry Anyway, Brylcreem isn't so expensive so it's not much of a sacrifice for your wallet. If Brylcreem alone doesn't make the cut for you, you can always use it as a topper or degreaser.
pikeboy 123 I actually changed my mind last month and decided that hair creams like Brylcreem are really just unorthodox water based pomades with a super light hold, so we could count it as that. Provides instantaneous hold with a shine finish and for a slicked and tight look
The comment about these being "good starter products" suggests that you have a bias about water base pomades. I don't see water base pomades as an advance over oil based pomades. The shine isn't as good as oil based pomades, they're more expensive, loaded chemicals, and dry out the hair, leaving it lifeless. There's no advance with water based pomades. They're basically gels with oil mixed in for shine, and quite expensive. Basically you want people to advance to a lesser product by steering them into expensive, chemically laden gel/water based pomades, which are inferior to oil based pomades
Did this guy start smoking weed?? He's not the same ole cool guy he was before before. I don't know whats wrong with him. He's just not the same. He was a cool dude before... 💬
I feel like there’s a lot of big game pomade youtubers that support this channel under the table. Cameron is A1. He deserves more screen time
Dom XhardcoreX I feel you man

All the eses used that shit foo
what you bang
So true.
Yup homeboy
I'm trying to get my hands on a Royal Crown Pomade (rare in my city) so I consider it a holy grail product
It is indeed difficult to find. Glad that I can find it in Afro Stores in European countries.
Expensive shipping.
Don't get the hairdressing, theres a big difference
Murrays Super Light is probably a more common alternative. You get about the same shine with it
My thoughts exactly. They roughly have a very similar hold and styling performance, but Murray's SL has better shine and much easier washability. RC though, has a better buildup and more product in a tin. Each have their own advantages compared to the other but are relatively similar, good base standards for each other.
Id like to know you thoughts on Morgan's Pomade. Its been around since 1873. I love the stuff.
Hey Cameron. I'm wondering if you've done a hair care video. Although there are many hair types I'd like to be pointed in a direction or inspiration from your point of view. Like how often you shampoo, if you shampoo, favorite brands etc.
Do one on Dapper Dan
Where can I get groom and clean?

Murray's Pomade was my very first pomade as well too! 🤣😄😆😄
Is it any good?
@@washerwood8918 no not really lol
Do you shampoo every day?
Brylcreem is my grandpa's pomade/cream for over 58 years
Try the classic old italian pomade "brillantina Linetti". 😉
Thanks for talking about brylcreem. I've had my eye on it when I go to the store. Haven't tried it yet but I think I will now. Great vid
Royal Crown, Murray's Super Light and Black & White are probably my favorite classic pomades. I love Brylcreem as well. Your next Top 5 video should be Top 5 Homebrews!
Hey Cameron, I've got a question for you. Should I still condition my hair daily when using a pomade? Or should i skip hair altogether in the shower?
Adam Canada Pomade keeps your hair moisturized so there's no nees to condition unless you want to degrease. Do you know where to find royal crown non hair dress?
Keep these types of videos coming!
brylcreem is nice for thin hair that holds back easy my hair is so strong even wenn i was young it even pushed back a hand full of super strong gel from high brands i use strong pomade works and looks the best evryone there own favorite mines murrays extreme pomade
Brylecream was used by the German solders apparently
Hey man. When u did the Johnny cash pompadour and Elvis one could you please try and do a Waylon Jennings hair style tutorial

If you like classic pomades, my channel is actually full of reviews on the older stuff, even though I'm now trying to hunt down homebrews.
Love Tres Flores 🌸🍃But the Waterbased
Hey cam, now with summer approaching, what pomade do you use for warmer weather? Heard that ob are bad in summer :)
Brylcreem is brilliant also for breaking down the pomade when I have a client turn up with product already in his hair. I’d like to see a group of Top 5’s eg Best USA, Best from Oz, Best from UK and Best from Europe. So a series of posts.
Really like these lists
Would love to get my hands on royal crown! All i can get in the netherlands is the hairdressing.
Have you reviewed Cock Grease recently. I used to use the medium hold but since they have change this it now has absolutely no hold and the heavy is so heavy and dry I can barely get it in my hair with pulling it all out. Such a shame. They should of left things the way they were
I don’t like Murray’s superior doesn’t do much for and doesn’t hold just makes my hair really wavy
Murray’s was my first breeecream was my second because my great grandpa used it in the 30s
Thanks for the content man!
It was a very classic video it was wonderful
NIce video! I really felt like I was watching an old Cameron A vid, I’m talking pre mission.
You should do a Brylcreem video, that'd be great! Another +1 for Black & White and Royal Crown. I often use both of them together, B&W for the strength and Royal Crown on top for the shiny part.
he did one years ago
is european brylcreem the same as the us version?
No. I will make a video of this in September or October.
the US one has a little more hold. but the UE version smells better
Try Wildroot.
Excellent hair cream. Like everything else out there, a little goes a long way.
The real OG
Really enjoyed this video, I just recently started getting into classic hair products, I started with Brylcreem.
Does anyone remember "Score"! It was one of my favorites!
no lucky tiger? :(
awesome :) I'm looking for a pomade called *Lovers moon* ... ever tried it :)?
Anders Olofsson It's no longer in production so it's super rare, as rare as Dixie Peach. Honestly I think you'll barely get any luck because it's not around anymore.
I use 19 Fifties Union pomade best smell best shine and best hold
Three Flowers is KING!
Murray’s pomade is the Mack-Daddy of all pomades. How dare you insult its effectiveness lol although, Murray’s just recently changed their formula and it screwed it up. Which is why I’m watching this video lol going to try Royal Crown next, I believe
Bro. You're rocking the beard.👌👌
Will brylcreem keep my hair up though? I have pretty much the same hairstyle as you Cameron, but I push the sides back. Can brylcreem maintain that style?
Mikey Condry Depends on your hair type. What kind of hair type do you have?
Asian Greaser wavy and thick but fine
Mikey Condry You'll definitely get some wave action but embrace that. If your hair is fine then I think it should be alright. Anyway, you're doing a contour and your hair sounds relatively long so it should be alright
Mikey Condry Anyway, Brylcreem isn't so expensive so it's not much of a sacrifice for your wallet. If Brylcreem alone doesn't make the cut for you, you can always use it as a topper or degreaser.
Asian Greaser okay thanks 👌
I have DAX Red. This thing, even if you want, you will wash out from your hair a very long time.
But it’s a hair cream not pomade
Thanks for vid!
Please review more classic products!!! Don't hesitate to say more about something like Sweet Georgia Brown! ;-)
Three Flowers is THE BEST! Big time! Nothing and I mean nothing beats Three Flowers! Women just love the smell!
The best pomade for me is brylcreem. I think it's a realy light pomade
What he said ^
why is it not a pomade. it is greasy, it don't dry's up and it has a crazy good shine...
pikeboy 123 I actually changed my mind last month and decided that hair creams like Brylcreem are really just unorthodox water based pomades with a super light hold, so we could count it as that. Provides instantaneous hold with a shine finish and for a slicked and tight look
Good show!!!!
Morgans Pomade....surely a classic 🤔
But brylcreem isn't a pomade
you are so fun man
I like Brylcreem
