Hi dear i am ilyas working here in United Arab Of Emirates as a driving instructor for light vehicles heavy bus and heavy truck ...looking forward to move to UK USA Or Canada please help me out to get work permit there if possible thanks .....
I passed my test today in the rain and fog with 5 minors, your videos have helped me so much recently. As someone who suffers with anxiety I doubt my actions a lot but your videos reassured me that I am safe to drive. Thank you so much!
I passed first time with 6 minors. I paniced and thought i failed. The examiner made me do emergency stop and 3 parkings. He took me on hills, small roads, T junctions, dual carriageway and some forest roads. He also took me on a 50mph roads and alot of roundabouts. I watched your videos alot during lock down over and over again i made a huge note book and made notes it helped me prepare for my test. Thank you for making simple, quick and very useful vidoes you cover every incy bincy topics which is greatly appreciated 🙂
I find keeping the car straight so darn difficult.... I know I only had 2 lessons so far.... but it looks so easy when others do it. I need to see more videos when I can see the road ahead and the steering wheel at the same time.
@@AdvanceDrivingSchool Do we have to keep checking the reference points often to stay positioned on the road. With experience Is it possible to just look straight ahead and not look at the reference points again and again.
I am on my 4th day driving in the UK coming from Canada. I could not have driven in the UK without Advance Driving videos. I just finished watching your “How to Judge Road Position” which couldn’t have come at a better time. I am getting more comfortable with roundabouts but I’ve hit a few left curbs with my rental. My worst experience was with a bus who had to move to the centre to get past park cars. I know the bus should stop for me because he is in my lane but we know who would win if I hit a bus. So the curb got a good hit. BUT the driving is getting better as we move onto Stratford upon Avon from Cheltenham.
To be honest drivers can just look at the side mirrors to see whether they are centered on the road. If they can see the the gap between line on the side of the car and the dotted line that shows how you are positioned.
I'm so relieved to find this video, because I was honestly starting to think it was just me with this issue. I'm either way too close to the kerb or up against the center line. I'm going to be working on fixing that of course, hopefully this video will help :-).
I found this video really helpful. After having driven for many years in the UK such that road position had become instinctive I have now moved to France and I'm freaked out about sitting on the left side of the car. I need to re-think road position from scratch and your video explains this really well.
Thank you for the video. This is my main problem of driving. When i move away by the driving straight line, i can't recognize it. This video helps me a lot. I will try to follow curb position on windscreen. Mt driving test is closer now. I'm so nervous.😣
Thanks for these useful points, I’m trying to learn how to drive on the right side of the road.. it’s so difficult to change after driving many years on the left!
I m from India & here also left sided driving .. So I m getting it convenient to watch & learn from your videos... The narrow roads & natural scenery very similar here as in your videos.. Thanks a lot for the video..
I know driving but still likes to watch these videos.. It ll be best if you make a video of driving in hilly roads, busy traffic with gradients etc with simultaneous coverage of left reference point(middle of dash board with driver head camera), decision making of crossing a narrow gap & other things of pre-planning on the road with Operating of all pedals, gear along with running commentry ...... with a virtual driving experience ..
Thanks for the suggestion! It isn't very hilly where we live unfortunately, but we use the drivers eye view quite often in our videos so can see how it looks for us when driving. Of course you will need to find your own reference point, as it looks different for every type of car and size of driver. Have you seen our video 'No 1 tip for passing' as it covers how to forward plan?
Brilliant I'm so happy and confident thanks to you two your both great and I'll think of videos I've learnt on test and lessons I'm getting booked in soon it will be one less stress and pressure out of way and less embarrassed I'll probably use sceen wiper as a ref point . 😀
I got this point but there is question coming if we bend towards probably that would be change that we have to get another reference point at traffic jerms☺ This video is much better than I have see else where..
5th 1&1/2hr lesson with my new instructor. Mature adult learner too not just a teen! I am still in the industrial estate since I am struggling with the very basics including correct road positioning! I am trying so hard to get it right but I'm losing control! What's the best way to determine perfect positioning every time?! As I said I'm not even on roads yet so these basics need to be perfected today!
Try and do all the things that this video suggests; so find your own reference point, and look as far ahead as possible - but it always takes a little while until you get used to where you should be. Don't try to rush your learning, it will take as long as it takes!
Did well just went over limit and drifting out a bit but overall went ok and I told him I keep watching you to keep me updated so this video helps I've added on to list well done on 153k subscriber's 😁
Such a great video, the reference point is so helpful as I always worry on road position, it looks basically that the centre of the windscreen lines with the curb, but obviously varies how far left depending on road width and slowing and moving left slightly for oncoming vehicles on narrower roads
I've had 24 lessons and my driving instructor has yet to explain this to me despite me asking her loadsa times. So I'll watch this before each lesson and I'm only gonna try to apply it. Can anyone drop a comment and say roughly what they were doing at 24 lessons? so far I've learnt how to parallel park, I'm pushing for bay parking even though for some reason she is reluctant to teach me?? even though I find it easier. I can change gears and drive ok (these vids are helping) but whats the ballpark for you guys with 24 lessons?
