With all that installed, it should work without having to do anything else. The only current issue specific with 1.9 is that the camera views are a bit misaligned, this will only happen if you play in DX9 or DX11 mode, once RPM gets updated this problem should be resolved.

@@Vulkans Thanks for this modlist, I used to play with rpm using ASET crafts but it was only two of them, and I got bored quite quickly. Rediscovered that lot more cockpits made it

After hours of intense IVA flight, you finally step out of the capsule to find... life! Specifically the admins shaking their fist at you after you crashed into their building just after takeoff.
Those admins had it coming after they took away out free coffee and donut privileges. MONSTERS

Wow, KSP's mods are literally out of this world! Reminds me a lot of Rogue Orbit.
I *really* hope KSP2 lets us dig deeper into IVA-there's a ton of station and base fun to be had that way.
Video improvement suggestion: I wish we were able to tell exactly what number(s) you were looking at for some of those scenes. Maybe there's a highlight or reticule mod for that, or something you could highlight post-production? Other options would be pointing to it with the cursor would help, or using UA-cam CC or annotations. (I say this as a veteran kerbonaut who knows what numbers you'd _want_ to be watching, but I'm unfamiliar with these displays.)

great suggestion, for the most part I was able to know what he was looking at (or rather knowing what I should watch out on those screens) but the part got me confused is when he was looking for a transfer window to minmus, I noticed later that he was looking at "Phase angle" to reach 0° which is the time to start burning (or a bit before if that was me) but after that I didn't know how he knew that he got into SOI (you can tell by the green line getting cut suddenly but I couldn't know how high is the periapsis and if the orbit was clockwise or counter clockwise)
@@bakbak4960 once he got the encounter you could look at the closest approach number (Clstapr) that was on the screen he was looking at, just from looking at the screen I think he got a clockwise encounter but I'm not too sure about that

It's been a while since a Minmus landing seemed so dramatic to me! Well done! Every time I think I've seen all of the mods for this game, I find something new I haven't thought of yet.
I wish that the stock game had all this. I just got so tired of reinstalling mods with every update. I only play vanilla games these days.

Pretty amazing how you can choose what celestial body to go to. That's the kind of futuristic UI that we need in KSP2 for sure. (as an optional way to play the game of course)
I'd actually LOVE to see more IVA videos.
This whole mod is just breathtaking! Then, that perfect automatic touchdown on Minmus at the end, complete with Bitchin' Betty altitude announcements as well 😀 So cool! I just wish the camera view didn't clip through the planet at the end, breaks immersion a bit, but oh well. Hopefully KSP 2 will provide even more incredible IVA experiences once the modders get their hands on it. Anyway, thanks for great video!

AMAZING CONTENT! I certainly hope they add these features to KSP2 vanilla. But I'd really appreciate some sort of tutorial on how you set up your mods because after days of troubleshooting, I still can't get these to work correctly.
late but you need to install the dependencies too. I recommend CKAN because it handles all of the tough work for you.

Idk if putting the map screen in the cockpit qualified this as a IVA, but, in any case, wonderful job.
The only way an IVA doesn't qualify to be an IVA is if it's done outside of the vehicle, the literal description of the thing is in the name of it.
@@Vulkans Well yes, naturally, you're right. Look at it from my point of view for one sec: if you put the map screen in the cockpit, then what is the point of the whole IVA when you could've swapped over into map mode instead? I'm pointing out that the IVA screen and the map mode are functionally similar. Then, I take that to an extreme to poke some fun :) again, wonderful job in any case
@@theorixlux The map-screen is different though. You only see the target and the current planet, it uses patched conics, can't switch reference-frame, shows useful information, only shows inclination as a number, accidentally getting to close to a gravity-assist removes the entire future orbit.
Personally I would prefer if the map-screen wasn't so much worse, and actually let you change frame and see entire (correct) orbit etc. It still feels more IVA than the map-view.
The only important part (imo) is not being able to graphically do maneuver nodes (or otherwise "touch" the screen), and keeping it 2d. It is only there to allow for some quick vizualization anyway, you won't stop using phase-angles, ap/pe readings, ETA's, closest approach, etc. anyway.

After seeing this I actually downloaded the mod and tried it myself, going to the Mun instead of Minmus. I "lightly crashed" when I hit the Mun's surface, but the capsule was intact. I didn't have enough fuel to get back anyways though, since I didn't really do a very good gravity turn when I left Kerbin.

Ksp 2 needs this in VR...
You burn at phase-angle 0 for the moons? I always went with the horizon trick, which iirc is ~120 degrees (height over planet makes it over 90), so I wonder if the indicator is bugged or if you really burn when it is directly radially out? (as in, you are directly between kerbin and minmus)
I got rid of mechjeb because of the lagspikes it always causes. A bit annoying to lose the tool, but worth it in the end. I should really make a kOS script for burning my maneuver nodes tho.
Vesselviewer is nice, but I got rid of it because it spams the side-bar with empty vesselviewer buttons. Dunno why (not like anyone views it through them anyway), and its super annoying.
I love using RPM IVA's like you do though, so fun to see someone else does too. Feels like ASET is kinda missing pods though, the few I find seem to prefer going retro-style, which I am less of a fan of (much prefer the rpm navball, and the orbit screen is almost a must).
Saw your modlist, what exactly are de_iva and aset iva for making history? For the latter I wonder if it works even if I dont have that dlc (does it add the pods?), and for the former it lacks doc, so I dunno how each pod looks. Also dunno how it behaves if I were to add it despite already having some rpm and aset pods?
I would love to see a Space Shuttle ISS build doing it only in the IVA

Nice accomplishment! If I can add some constructive criticism, removing the long loading screen is an easy edit that is worth doing. Viewers don't want to sit and wait for that.
Thanks for the feedback. I try to avoid having to do edits as they are cause for a 3+ hour long recompile. However, as these are recorded live I can just go about delaying the recording marker until everything is good to go and skip the loading screens that way.

I notice in the corner it says 'Life support not installed' any idea which it supports? this is epicly epic beyond all levels of epicness!
RPM has support for TAC, USI and Kerbalism. In addition to that, it can also talk with Connected Living Space.
I suppose you could also run Snacks with it, as the snacks are just a resource that also shows up in the resources tab.
