The Rosenthal mug is really cool! My kids & grandkids are visiting so my sales are languishing because I’m not getting my listing done. But you have to make the best of family time!
Interesting? Maybe. I sold a PowerPuff Girls broken wall clock for parts and repair. They’re Cartoon Network characters that seem pretty collectible. Scored a huge lot of various toys and items at an auction about two months ago, and even the ones that are less than perfect garner a lot of interest and sales.
When I was a kid, I was taught that, in most cases, words and names that have a syllable with "ei" in it are pronounced like a long "I" and words and names with "ie" in them are pronounced like a long "E". Usually such words are of Germanic origin. You can see what I mean in two of your items that sold: SPEIDEL and DIESEL, pronounced "SPY-dell" and "DEEZ-əl." ..... So, ei = ī (long i, said like "EYE"); ie = ē (long e, said like "EE").
I was just thinking about you yesterday! I found made in Denmark MCM little teak appetizer/toothpick holder thats a blowfish. When I saw it I actually thought, "Hmmm, this is something Shannon would find", lol. Its signed, just cant remember it right now but yep, made me think of you and the cool MCM things you pick up. I was shocked it was at this particular thrift store and it was only $3. Found 1 on Etsy for $40. Good 80 patterns at my local ASG semi annual sale as well. Nothing of huge value, a couple in the $25-$30 but nearly all Vogues. Im thinking of bundling some up like the Vogue Woman ones. Sales have been way down, picked up a bit since Friday but they were some higher priced things. One was a necktie at $105 and 1 a bundle of 5 patterns and some fabric for a total of $105. Still haven't been able to list much because of this kitten who is doing very well but its like a toddler, into everything. I'm way too old for this, lol!
@@pishposhreselling It was an Edward Gorey silk necktie with cats and possibly Uncle Fester or some other male character. One from the estate line. It was under lock and key and asked to see it cause I nearly passed out when I saw it. I was afraid it would be $50+.....it was $4. A start the car moment for sure.
Boomer here. Heard and saw those commercials a lot. Speidel starts out sounding like Spider. Emphasis is on the latter syllable. Spy DEL.
Agree... SpyDEL
Love your info

Definitely have to set priorities! Enjoy your time!
Love the Rosenthal! I have been thrifting and hitting the garage sales a lot, but not listing much so my sales show that!
That definitely happens! I think sometimes we have summer slowdown too as resellers!
Thanks, great stuff as usual! 🐝🤟
You bet!

Sorry, should read "got" some patterns and the necktie was $110, not $105.
Nice!! What kind of necktie? And the blowfish sounds great! ❤️

So cool!! I love it when items in the case are surprisingly cheap! It was like my $3 jumbo head vase! In the case to keep it safe only. ❤️
❤❤❤
Spy-del
It’s pronounced spy-DELL (ps I’m old😂)
There ya go! Thanks!
Yep, I am old too and remember it well
Oops. Posted once again without reading the comments first. I’m old too.
@@jochildress5003 lot of us are, glad we are, and handy excuse! lol
A $20 item is not worth our time imo. Not when u can be using ur time to make more money. It’s just not worth it
True and yet I understand that a lot depends on your area and what brands/ items you have access to.
