I got all excited when I first saw the word Princeton. Was hoping for Blue Jay Way records in Princeton,Illinoise😊 Oh well, you can never have enough record stores!
Kinda weird that there was salsa music being played in the store. I don't know if Latin music is a common stuff there in the USA, but it was a surprise to me. Great video! I always enjoy your "Let's Go To The Record Store" series. Greetings!
I wish I had a store like that close to me. I’m a bit older than you… so I find the albums from 1978-1985 are the ones which tend to be my favourites. Even though I have the entire Kinks catalogue I still have to have those two Kinks The Journey compilations.
@@BrendonSnyder If you're a Beach Boys fan you need to check out Brian Wilsons 1998 solo album Imagination. You might be familiar with it. It's got a polished sound but the songs are catchy and great singing/writing/production work from Brian. I prefer this album over his 1988 debut(which I also love, by the way.)
I always look forward to your "let's go to the Record Store videos." 😎 When I saw you zoom in on the METAL sign...I kinda geeked out a little. 😂😂 I was like okay hear we go. 🤘🤘🤘
Hope Brendon feeling better I went to record store today and pick up Jimi Hendrix Experience at Hollywood Bowl 1967 / Kiss Alive III / Kiss debut / Kiss Destroyer / Led Zeppelin IV album always a good day at local record store
I wish Peter Criss had made a follow-up to the "Cat #1" album. There is some decent stuff on there, and cool to see Mike Stone from that album go on to Queensryche.
Hey Brendon, love these videos of your visits to the record stores. I saw you pick up that Aerosmith Permanent Vacation album. Funny timing, just last week i rewatched your video of the Aerosmith album ranking, and it inspired me to pick up Rock in a Hard Place, Done With Mirrors, and Permanent Vacation down here at Sound Exchange just a couple of days ago! In the past I’ve tended to overlook their 80s output, not sure why. But you made me want to get ‘em!
Way cool, Brendon! 😃👍⭐. Great prices. I have always wanted to go to that record store! I would definitely spend hours and drop a heap of moolah there. Rock Always! - Heather
So envious of what you have around you for music stores. We have a Newbury comics which has new releases, very few, and one small bin of new cds. One independent that is mostly vinyl. Thanks for the video and Happy Thanksgiving!!!!
Brendon good stuff! You should of got The Joneses “Hard”, cd from 1990, great rock and roll they sound like Paul Rodgers Bad Company. Love that Neil Young album also!!
Great video! The mic you're using is great, just got a new Polk surround sound system here and it feels like being right there. Happy Thanksgiving holiday week!
Hey Brendon - nice haul on the used cd's! Friendly prices! I was wondering what your standards are for the condition of used discs. I myself am damn picky, won't buy used CD unless it's near mint condition. Take care.
Woah, they had some cool stuff at Princeton Record Exchange! I agree that Def Leppard's 'Adrenalize' isn't their best album, but personally, it's my favorite Def Leppard album. Also, they hardly play tracks from that album live, other than "Let's Get Rocked," so it's not as overplayed as 'Hysteria.'
I remember I bought that Whitesnake Greatest Hits and I was so bummed that it had a remix of Here I Go Again. I still don't know why the most popular song was not the original recording?
Actually the version that’s on there is the most popular version. It’s the version released as the single and the video. So the album version was not what most people know. But the way I saw it was that there was one more reason to get the Greatest Hits because it had a version not on the album, then it had 3 unreleased songs too. I like when a band makes buying their greatest hits worthwhile to even their most hardcore fans.
Brendon, what is your opinion on record club copies of albums? I never been a fan of them. Plus, the promo/whole punch copies bug me when it ruins the CD jacket. Love the vids you do keep up the great work!
Hey Man, enjoy the channel! Appreciate the efforts. I am just going to jump in ask those that may know (you and this community!) because "just a shoulder shrug" answer is about the best I can give myself! I purchased Original Motion Picture Compact Disc Soundtrack to "PORKY,S REVENGE" some years ago. This cd plays on everything I place it in,car stereo, portable, pc, this cd does not play in my home player. The only cd that does not play in my player, it won't read it. My player a little higher end(CD-17 ARCAM) it can't play mp3's, but this cd store bought on the COLUMBIA/VARESE SARABANDE label. My player just doesn't read the disc, the disc plays on everything else I place it in! And my player plays every other disc I place in it! Anyone else have this soundtrack on compact disc and encounter anything similar, is there anything on the discs production that one may know about. Just reaching out, more so for shits and giggles (as I am currently smoking a bowl) because I am not sure if there is more of an answer than a shoulder shrug! But it is a decent soundtrack with Dave Edmunds Jeff Beck, some Carl Perkins, it's worth the mention.
It with this specific album but I have had that happen with others. Some players are more finicky than others. While the CD may play on one it sometimes does not play on another. Not that uncommon really.
@@BrendonSnyder That's fair enough, I've made some backups of my CDs. Not for a car as I don't drive but so the original cd can stay in the case nice and safe while the backup gets played.
This kind of videos are so much fun. Thank you
My pleasure! I’m glad you enjoy this series.
Woodpecker From Mars. Love that FNM song. Innuendo is a great album. A lot of memories as you walk through these stores.
The best healing movie series for me
That Neil Young cd called Ragged Glory is fantastic!
i miss record stores…i AM living vicariously through you

Yeah that one is a little too far for me to go to…haha 😂
Great choices for your car 🚗 those are some of my favorite car 🚗 jamming
Cool idea, the car collection. Keep it going brother!

Adrenalize was my first Def Leppard album. I fell in love with their music at that point
I loved hearing The Breeders in the background ☺️
I did film the album Last Splash but at that moment none was playing in the background so I omitted it from the video.

Thank you enjoyed the show 🎉
Glad to hear you enjoyed it!
I LOVE Wilson Phillips too! Great harmony pop.
I’m sure there are secretly lots of us out there still! 👍
@@BrendonSnyder Their The Wilsons album from 1997, the one without Chynna Phillips is great too. Father Brian Wilson is on it!

I agree Neil Young & crazy horse ragged glory is one of my favorite albums
Hope you picked up Green Lung
You are so lucky to have those in area I love music shopping slim Pickens in my area
The PIL albums really good. I pre ordered it,so got it on release day. "Penge" "Car Chase", "Being Stupid again" & "Walls" are great.
Thanks for checking out the newer releases! Helps remind me of stuff I need to pick up
Cool metal selection and the prices are really good in that shop for new releases like i see. Super
I love stores that still have “Metal” sections. So much fun to see what’s in there.

I already own The Jones which was why I didn’t buy it. 👍
The prices on that used stuff are insane! I'd walk out with a wagon full of cd's! My local spot charges 5.98 minimum but most are more than that.
Great video! The mic you're using is great, just got a new Polk surround sound system here and it feels like being right there. Happy Thanksgiving holiday week!
This weekend going to record store pick up jimi Hendrix hollywood bowl
Looks like a lot of great finds in that store. Only problem is, more than a 3 hour drive for me. ☹️
Ragged Glory is truly Neil's finest hour. Country Home is one of the greatest album openers of all time.

damn! i need that trex!
Brendon, that makes sense some duplicates for the car. I’m hoping to get a cd player in the next car we’re buying. 🤞🏻
That's what I do when I take a vacation day I go to the record stores.

food for thought…subaru still had cd players in their new cars up until very recently
Hope you're enjoying your vacation! Sending good vibes from down in D.C.
you must have hit them on “play merengue” day
video with cat!
I think you got OCD how dyou get to play all of em 🤔🇬🇧
😎👍
How's the parking here?
Easy to find parking on the street but even when it fills up there is a parking garage one block away.
@@BrendonSnyder thank you
If you had to choose your favorite year in music, it would be very hard... 1987, 1989, 1993, 1994... ? this is for the next Q&A ;-)

Hey Brendon! Do you run into issues with employees when recording in stores? Do you give them a heads up when you’re planning to record?
Nope and Nope. And no one cares. Once in a while someone asks because they’re curious but that’s it.
Wow. I've never been to a record store that puts used $6 CDs in anti-theft cases.
Good background SALSA music😅
Instead of buying double of some of your cds for your car why don't you just make a backup of them and take them with you?
Because they’re so cheap to buy an extra copy and I still want the art with me in the car.

Bonjour de France brendan, i like to watch all your vidéos, but what means bucks , please ?
See you later brendan 😊😊.
Dollars
Band Of Gypsies for $1.99.
