    Hi Chris, A couple of comparisons. The Inokraft D1 - $87.99 get 3 tips - 9.7-10.2CFM @ 29PSI. The Black Widow is - $179.99 (can get a coupon for less) get 1 tip, extra 1.5 tip is $60, no 1.7 tip unless you buy the widow with the 1.7 tip. It uses - 11.8 CFM @ 35PSI. All specifications come from the owners manuals. Typical R500 - SPECIFICATIONS: With 1.3/1.5/1.7 Nozzle, Air consumption 3.0-3.9CFM, Operation pressure 28.8-51PSI. At the end of the video you did say there was a ridiculous amount of over spray. That was clearly shown. The Black Widow IMO is not really a DIY spray gun for a person doing spraying in a garage. One needs a BIG compressor too. The Inokraft D1 is labeled a LVLP but in reality is not based on 9.7-10.2CFM @ 29PSI. No small compressor can put that amount of air out. It would be running non stop and water filtration might be a problem. Is the D1 a good value for $87.99 - You Bet. It also depends on the equipment one owns. Please comment when you can and thank you for the video. I always learn something.

      Great comparison brother! The black widow does have a larger fan which I do like. The air consumption specs on these guns from china are not accurate. I find contradictions when researching. I do feel the Inokraft is a lvlp just from my experience in using different guns. Is it as low as orig R500 ,I actually think it's close, IMO. I like the Black widow graeat gun are there better options for the price , at 179.00, maybe. I do appreciate your support and thoughts!

    Great comparison! I have the Inokraft on order, the main reason being how often the compressor kicked on when you were using the Black Widow and how often it didn't kick on when you were using the Inokraft. I have a good sized compressor, but the less I have to listen to it, the better. The difference in overspray was also pretty noticeable. Cheers!

    Difference I saw between the 2 was it looked like you had to work the black widow more. Could definitely move quicker w a little further distance on the inokraft. • @JohnWD40TC02
    @JohnWD40TC02 Рік тому +5

    Hi Chris, the Black Widow did a great job on the bedside but you can tell it's not a LVLP gun as it was pumping out more overspray so it will be less efficient than the Drizzle but as you said they both laid down a nice finish on the clear with very little difference between the two guns, I would say the Drizzle is the better gun for the DIY that is doing it at home in the garage.

    The Black Widow's overspray was a bit too much, considering most home users won't have a pro level exhaust. That's a major factor that DIYers should ponder. The expected finish can be hampered by the fact that you're spraying half blind partway through a session. The Inokraft appears to be the better gun for home use. However, is the air cap better than its sibling A610?

      A larger fan doesn't equate to being a better gun. In fact, it's really not an advantage for spraying clear as the fluid is spread out more and the fan becomes drier. A wetter fan pattern is actually more efficient in building up mils, better gloss, and less paint wastage in the air @philortega6516

  • @joaquin0023

    Do you use any ventilation fans? I ordered the vevor 10 inch ventilation fan to get rid of fumes but i was wondering if there should any worries with clear coat and paint being flammable. I also noticed you use the propane heater so I’m assuming you haven’t had issues with that.

  • @satamanschmidt3428
    @satamanschmidt3428 Рік тому +2

    I have noticed that you always set your spray guns at considerably lower air pressure than the manufacturers recommend which in most cases is 29 PSIG with the trigger pulled. Is there a reason you do this and doesn't it affect the amount of orange peel you can achieve? Also, how do you run a commercial body shop without a spray booth? In California The South Coast Air Management District would shoot you on site, here in Arizona they would just make you go out of business.

      The reason he had to work the Black Widow 2.0 so much is because he was running full fan and 2 turns out from full on fluid. This gun is best ran full open on fan/fluid between 26-28psi. Clear probably 28-30psi. The Black Widow 2.0 puts out very good results, but in saying that it also depends on the user and his/her adjustments and how they spray.

    Went ahead and bought a Drizzle even tho I have a turbine system I can use. Reason is, I really like the R500 and reduced overspray combined with good results is what I look to achieve. Going to try this today for clear coat on a hood. If I like it too much, might become a dedicated clear gun on standby. I have the cheaper R500's off Ali Express I got for 35 bucks delivered. Crazy price for a gun that actually works well and is decently built. Did have one fail. Developed a leak I couldn't stop. But at 35 bucks, who cares,really.

The widow is not a bad gun and will lay down a great finish. Where it differs is the adjustments. I can dial that GTI down to a dot and pull the fluid control back to the point that it is nearly an air brush. The widow just does not have that kind of control.

      I'm working on a booth at the end of the building I'm in. Will be ready this summer.

      You can still get dirt in a booth. Booths are good for fume extraction tho

    When I buy a spray gun the last thing on Earth I want it to do is "Drizzle." What a stupid name for something that is suppose to put on a uniform coat of paint. Smooth Spray or Even Spray would be a lot better than Drizzle.
