What I like about the VIM products is they give you tools to get in the hard spots. If you can repair something without having to take off one thing to get to the other part it saves you time and makes you more money per hour on that job.
Engineers will work to make that harder.
The half cut set is something that everyone should have on their tool kits. Especially if you are working on the German brands.
Love a company that actually innovates for their own tools. Aviation would love that bearing packer, gonna be ordering one the moment its out.
I will be getting one too. I like the magnetic socket rails too.
Louis..... Add a Zirk fitting to the bearing packer so a grease gun can fill it! Great product improvement making it a twist!!!
Vim is my favorite tool company
This VIM guy is remarkably good at covering their product lines within a conference environment in a concise and complete manner. I’ve seen him in a few videos and he’s always quite good. It’s quite difficult recording this kind of stuff as a sales guy and not either going way into the weeds on products or being too brief. Tip of the cap.
That’s very nice of you to say I appreciate that brother ✊🏼
@@luislopezjr1626 always appreciate seeing great sales pros. I had to do a similar video for a client at a conference and ughh watching it afterwards unless you’re a very specific ICP it sounded like those turbo encabulator videos 😂
@@luislopezjr1626 I second Luis you are very good at what you do. Also a Floridian Go Noles!
Dang I’ve been hanging doors like that my whole career using studs from Chrysler ac condensers. Same size as door bolts on all cars👌
Luis López representando la Raza👏🏼👏🏼👍🏼latina
Awesome booth of toys
Spline drive would be ideal for the standard and offset new drive end ratchet wrenches. I would buy them in a heartbeat!!! That is a game changer
The lid of that short bit set, its the type that wears out and cracks apart after being in your box or truck for a couple of years.
He is very knowledgeable!!
I am a trailer mechanic for a fleet. The have bought many batches of trailers with disc brakes. Talking torque wrenches, it would be nice to have a 3/4 that can go down to 50 ft. lbs. The older trailers have aluminum conmet hubs and the new is Hendrickson steel. Another challenger is torqing caliper bolts properly in the little amount of room between caliper mount and airbag and trailing arm. Another item is ratcheting wrench heads that uses extensions, I would like to see a 15/16. Mainly to make it easier to do brake chambers on a disc brake truck and trailer.
Well, VIM has some good looking stuff coming soon too... A bunch of new tools that I know would be useful and others that would be nice to have.
That was a damn good video! I'm sold. I have one of their small bit sets and now I'm a customer for life because of this guy and his support for the actual customers like us!!!!
Vim is a great company. They stand behind the products and are always trying to improve them.
VIM makes some awesome gear. Those impact swivels are the balls I’d buy a set of them and use them on hand, tools impact tools, everything
VIM is doing some cool stuff. Glad to see it.
I’ll be getting those double wobbly impacts when they’re available. I’d like a 3/8” torque wrench to go 10ft lbs to 100ft lbs or maybe a little more. 1/2” 25ft lbs to 300ft lbs. really like all these new products and I think they are super cool
I absolutely love my Vim
mag rails! Some neat new tools coming out! I like it! As always great info.👍
I love vim! I feel like they're always one step ahead of the others and work hard to put research and development into their products. They're awesome 👍 thanks for the video Clay!
Interesting! What you referred to as the "pick of the litter" was very familiar. Over 30 years ago I went to an estate auction for an elderly tool and die guy. Among the items I was able to buy was a torque wrench handle onto which several different size ratchet heads fit. The man had made them all himself. The cool thing is it all worked.
Yep. One of my favorites was a snap on teardrop head that allowed for different extensions for different lengths and angle handles.
I would like to see some low profile sockets like those pass through sockets in SAE for the aviation industry ✈️🙏🏻
Clay, just last week I did an S&S bypass on a CP4 on a 2017 F350. I'm sure a pro like you gets those 15 8mm's off the upper intake in minutes, but for a shade-tree'r like me... I used snap on, koken, Mac, etc. it was like putting together legos to find the right ratchet/socket/extension combo to get to some of them. I've gotscraiches all over my hands and arms. looks like I fought with a couple cats!
I'm looking at your 'pick of the litter' thinking, 'damn, those would have been nice!'
All that to say, yeah, I agree with your pick.
1/4" 50 'lbs, 3/8" 150 ' lbs, 1/2" 250 ' lbs.
I'm a tool junky & master teck of 30 years. Love those tools!
VIM Tools is truely innovative. I like the swivels for sure.
Wish i could get these in England
I love the wrench extender. I'd like for them to make an adjustable head version to cover more sizes and being able to not have it too sloppy for the smaller sizes.
I hate you Clay, now I heading over to VIM's site again. Great stuff guys, thank you!!!
That multi postion flex head is a great idea but they should make it kinda like the snap on one where it has a full 360° of movement .
Had the same thought
That is the best bit set on the market
I would say a 1/2 " drive torque to 200 ftlbs. A 3/4 to 500 -600 and a 1 inch should go to 1000. 1/2 " drive would cover most but I believe farm brush hog blade torques are really up there as are some on loaders.
design and make a standalone torque wrench exerciser. super crucial to exercise the tq wrench before use. have some VIM triple square bits when I had my VW. Now that I have a Subaru, I need endless 10mm stuff
I like those door studs for replacing doors and aligning
2:30 I have the Koken version. Great to see other manufacturers making them too !
Just make sure you have the torque. Wrenches, go higher than Snap-on.🛠️ very awesome. Great products, innovative materials.
3/8" torque wrench 10-200 ft-lbs, 1/2" torque 50-300 ft-lbs, 1/4" max torque 15 or 20 ft-lbs. Like the offset extension wrench adapters n prefer 12pt THANKS FOR ANOTHER GREAT SNEAK PEAK INTO 1 OF THE INDUSTRIES BETTER INNOVATORS. THEY ARE MAKING DIFFICULT JOBS EASIER N FASTER FOR EVERYONE.
these are some pretty badazz tools
Those wrenches that snap onto extensions would make more sense as a crows foot. Would be amazing for equipment and hydraulic work
Bearing packer looks good have the old school one and is a pain in real cold weather....
Looks like I will be restocking my box
put a 3/8 hole in the bearing packer so we can use our electric ratchets
125FT LBs on a 3/8 torque wrench is what I think should be expected from your 3/8th wrench, which is also probably more useful over 1/4 or 1/2. I specialise in 300ZX Z32 1990-1996 cars I work on them day in and day out constantly nothing else (VG30DETT engines), with 120FT lb wrench I am able to torque wheels, the strongest of ARP head studs for 1000HP engines & also any suspension work. a 3/8 is all I need. I have a snap on atech125 FTLB. That said I own a 1/2 split beam for lug nuts as I don't like to take my torque wrench near the limit constantly.
For me, if anyone would release a 3/8 torque wrench that would go from 5-250 I’d buy that right now. I’m sick of having to get my 1/2” and throwing adapters on it as most of my tool set is 3/8. I know I’m an odd ball but..
Do the flat extension wrench heads in a 12 point please! I can’t do spline drive.
On the torque wrench, talk to the racers that have to torque heads between rounds. Listen to them and you will get your settings.
That torque wrench definitely needs to be at least 300 foot pounds to be able to compete with snap on. More the better they say now and days, for vim I would say 350-400 foot pounds
Especially since It can be half inch
VIM TOOLS ARE REALLY DESIGNED WITH MECHANICS FIRST THANK GOD FOR THAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🙏👍👍👍👍👍
1/2" torque wrench should go up to 300ft lbs. Snap on is the only manufacturer that I know of that makes one
vim they remakes of tools i already have, but they put a nice twist on them. Im going to get a few things from them. my boss is going to be spending money
On the torque wrenches, 1/4” 50ftlb, 3/8” 150ftlb, 1/2” 300ftlb with the 1/2” being the most important. If you make them short handle flex head then less obviously
For the torque wrenches 3/8 5-120ft/lb. 1/2 as low as possible to about 250ft/lb. 1/4 I never use so not the best judge but I would say 0-15ft/lb.
The best socket rails are vim
Hands down, nothing else comes close!
When will those ratchet wrench heads that goes on extentions be coming out? That would definitely come in handy
1/2" drive torque wrench to 300. It's nice to do isx head bolts without grabbing the 3/4"
1/4 torque wrench 1-25 nm
3/8 torque wrench 20-100 nm
1/2 torque wrench 50- 400 nm
I have never heard of this tool manufacturer and I have never heard anyone talk about them. As an ABB robotic welding systems design engineer and service mechanic, I thought I had every tool ever made. This is what sets men apart from animals - "through the investment in cool tools like this, we know how to delay pleasure." I wish there was a local distributor like the Snap On truck guys.
All tool trucks have access to the VIM tool line. In fact many of the tool truck brands are rebranded VIM Tools. It would shock you to know how many tools are on those flagship trucks that are in fact tools made by VIM
A 3/8” flex head torque wrench that goes from around 10ft lbs up to 100 or 125ft lbs that isn’t a split beam is what I’ve been after
Torque Wrench 1/2- 350 ftlbs, 3/8- 150 ftlbs, 1/4 60 ftlbs. Obviously you need to have a metal that can repeatability achieve and withstand that much force, but the footprint of a 1/4 torque wrench that can achieve 60 ftlbs would be a blessing.
Dspa200 been waiting for months to get them.
3/8 to 100-125 1/2 dr to 300 min----1/4 mostly inch pds to 50 and 300
Do you know when those door hangers are going to be on sale? those things look like they would save so much time
I went to the VIM website just to buy a few stickers and they were $35, What the hell?? LOL Only section on that website I might be able to buy from is "close-out" section. Thanks for sharing this video, it was cool to see all the new tools.
I would like to see a 1/4" that goes up to 300 or 350 in/lbs.
A 3/8" up to 150 lb/ft
VIM Tools are great quality.
Yes they are!
LET'S GO 🏁
On the torque wrench I’d say 1/4- 50-65 ft lb
3/8- 100 ft lb
1/2- 250-300 ft lb
I agree
3 and 4 mm hex most used ones… huh, seems like mine are 5 and 6 but I’m not a tool company.
I think the torque needs to work on the lower end. Like doing pan bolts or timing covers or whatever that need a huge amount. I’ve broken a few bolts or over tighten them “waiting on the click”. A 3/8 one that could do both low and high torque. I think they should offer 6 point, 12 point and spline on those wrench ends. That way it covers everybody. If you are in the business of selling tools the more you offer the more you can sell. Let’s be honest we will buy all 3 styles.
I personally feel if you need low torque like 10ftlbs or less for oil pans and valve covers you should be using 1/4. 3/8 isn't the tool for that. 3/8 should be in the range of 10-150. 1/2 should be 50-250.
Please make the offset ratchet crows feet in both metric and standard
3/8" torque wrench to at least 90, preferably >110ft-lb.
1/4 25 ft lb idk
3/8 50-75
1/2 200 if click style or 250 for digital more expensive
1/4" 20FT LBS, 3/8" 75FT LBS, 1/2" 200FT LBS
5 is my most used hex
I love the tools I hope they get in stores soon hopefully they don't try to sell online because I can't drive to online
"Nut Busters"... didn't think that one through
I’d like to see the 1/2in torque wrench go to at least 300.
Let us know when those flex head torque/wrench adapters are available! Been waiting for another option, not many out there. Would not hesitate to purchase the offset and low clearance in 12 pt.
👍😎👍
I want a 1/2 inch satin chrome master set....... I'd say 400 ft/lbs for each should do.
What is the model number for the ball hex/torx with t handle? I definitely want that set for the spin handle.
I would love to see cases that can be hung / mounted on the shop wall. I have a couple sets of tools and drill bits that arrived in these snap in cases. Great if you take them on the road or store them when not using. But, if they are used regularly in the shop, these cases are a huge PITA. I end up making my own wall mounts and just toss them in the recycle bin. And generally far too bulky for what they store.
Some innovative tools there.
Just a tip: slow down your camera movements and maybe don't try to follow the rep so much. Getting dizzy over here.
The FPRW100 set, would like to see a 14mm x 15mm added to the set which the Matco set made by VIM has.Comes in handy for access to transfer case nuts
Not in the kit but we do have them individually! FPRW1415
You wouldn’t need all these crazy tool if the vehicles they make would make their vehicles easy to work on .
Just going to get worse because the govt wants the impossible so they have to make everything smaller and lighter to accommodate weight reduction to meet the fuel requirements
VHC77 is one the best tool kits I own
That and the FRBS89 is an awesome set. You can do a lot with those kits
Dang. I just like mentally spent $27,192 dollars on those tables lol But alas, I have always been afraid to buy high end tools. I tend to think the price isn't worth it. I have no tool truck tools at all. I wish I knew someone with some, so I can try them to see if it could change my mind.
1/4” 30 ftlb, 3/8” 200 ftlb, 1/2” 400 ftlb.
Wow the Vim guys really gained some weight since last year. Maybe they should come out with a giant hamster wheel?
Let’s go
1/4- 250 lb-in
3/8- 150 lb-ft
1/2- 350 lb-ft
👍 VIM
Only one disagreement is that on 7:16 they should've called the green seat the big girl.
Haha Big Momma Seat!
Hello again, Clay and Vim Crew
Thank you for another Great Video 👍 Question for you, How long before these tools are available?😊 Again thank you
They are coming in soon from a month to 4-6 months! Steady stream of goodness to keep from us all breaking the bank!
@@KoonTrucking Thank you for the quick response 🙏
1/4 torque wrench ideally good to 220 in lb AND repairable eBay is full of snap on torque wrenches that can't be repaired because they stop supporting them Whereas Proto still does and you don't want the sharp edges like a CDI torque wrench as on their knurling
U need 2 make Noname tools at 8:53 from metric 10 not 11 thru 19mm and the 1/4 6 thru 15. U will sell more
WOW KLAY, THOSE MAGNETIC RAILS ARE DEFINITELY HOT HOT HOT!!!!
For a 3/8 torx wrench should go from 10ft/lbs to 120ft/lbs
Get 5 gallon buckets for a seat .
I’m pissed about the vhc77 case. Now I need to buy another set to get the new case 😂😂
They will sell just the case.
1/4 torque should go up to 300 in lbs
The first time Vim charged me for a warranty replacement, was also the last time i will ever do business with them.
You should watch the video they did with the reaction video to the den of tools. They explain why they do that. They want you to take it back to the dealer you purchased the tools from for warranty or if you purchase off their website they will warranty for nothing. This is to keep unauthorized people from selling the tools online and making sure you receive “real” vim tools and not some rip off company. If you buy it from their website you don’t pay for a warranty because they have it on file you bought it. If you got it off a tool truck take it back to them for a replacement and get it instantly vs having to wait on mail.
@@KoonTrucking
It's a BS excuse. Lifetime warranty means lifetime warranty.
