Problem being, most people don't have a pneumatic riveter or hand riveter for the 1/4" rivets needed to mount the regulator nor going to spend the money for the riveter for one time use. Use 1/4" stainless or galvanized pan head bolts, 1/2" long max, with a nylon lock nut instead and feed the bolts from the inside of the door out. This also gives adjustability for the original mounting holes on the door if they've been ovaled out as they were on my '00 Blazer.
Couldn't have done this without this video big thanks! It's very different than any other door regulator I've ever done and was honestly the hardest out of them all...y'all made it look easy haha
My window will go down... but it won't go back up....unless I push it up by hand. Then I have to tape it up to keep it from coming down...LOL. I just bought the replacement unit today and plan to install it. This video seems to have a lot of useful information that gives me an idea how to go about removing the old unit and installing the new one.
I found it easier to just use a cutoff wheel and cut the old one out in about three pieces, it makes it a lot easier to remove. I put the right wheel in first, but I put it in on the left side of the track, then the left wheel, then the top wheel I put on the right side of the top track (if memory serves me). Drilling out the rivets is a fucking nightmare. Also, I didn't find it necessary to remove the speaker, probably due to cutting the old regulator out. This is not meant to be a criticism of this video at all. Everyone does it a little differently. 1A/TRQ has excellent videos and products.
Must see video, this video gives step by step, easiest way to remove and replace the the window regulator. Very grateful for this video, thank you. My local advance auto parts employee, never mentioned or offered the pop rivets / hardware kit, had to order the hardware kit next day. Peace Crazyhorse. P.S. NOTE: I didn’t remove the speaker, but I will, before I install window regulator. As you can see it makes lining up the track arms so much more easier, with the speaker removed.. Best how to video, on UA-cam. You’ll thank the poster of the video, and yourself for watching this video.
Key to getting that first roller into the channel is raising the window a bit. I saw in your video that is what you did. After struggling with this for hours with the window all the way down, that did the trick for me!
EXCELLENT VIDEO!! I put the driver's side in about a year ago and every video I watched, they struggled. You could tell, major editing. I positioned my window as you showed and the install I did today on the passenger side went smooth as silk! THANKS!!!!
Yeah except you forgot to mention the top track has a steel "stop" at the end that's darn near impossible to bend flat, then pound back into the doors direction to then stop the top roller from immediately popping out. Yeah skip the intricate part to make a quick "easy" POP goes the top roller..mEXCEPT NOT ON MY 99 ZR2 , THERES A STEEL STOPPER AT THE END WELDED IM PLACE!! HAPPY TO SHARE THE VIDEO!!! JUST ASK

What if you can't roll the window all the way down? That's why I need to replace the regulator. How would I make it go down? It goes down about an inch and then starts to make a grinding or stuttering noise.
I never knew those barbed door grabber things were called pitons. Then he said hokey-doos and I was like ohh ok pitons is made up then he said pitons again and Hookey doos again and I don’t know what’s real anymore

You do a very comprehensive video. Thank you. One question, what size rivots do we need? Thank you. And will one rivet gun work with different sizes?

Any tips on lowering the window when the motor does not work?
Right? Why are we replacing the window regulator/motor if it works in the first place?😆

Very helpful, easy instal…thanks
Great video AWSOME 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Would it be easier to only change the motor ?
What if your window won’t go to the down position
How do you lower the window when the motor is dead?
i tapped the motor a few times with the hammer and it worked again, especially after giving some assist by pushing down on the window
what if the window is up and wont roll down?
So.what goes bad,the window motor or the regulator, I mean do I have to pull all that bracket stuff out, can't I just replace the motor?

What if your window is dead and you can't move the window into the down position?
I didn’t understand why the speaker was removed?

Why someone would put back that crappy delco speaker I dont know. Lol
Didn't see any reason to remove the speaker and play with it's rivets, skip that part!
