This video is the best thing to happen to me in a while. First off, the shipment got to my apartment in Texas from Mass in 3 days for free. This video helped me take out the old one and replace the new one within 2 hours and for someone who is relatively a novice. Thank you so much for saving me a good deal of money! Oh and it comes with lithium grease on it from the warehouse so no need to think about what kind of car grease to use! Man you guys are great.

Thanks for taking the time to make these videos. As much trouble as you go through to make them, we appreciate the tips and hints. I have done a few of these on other vehicles and there is always a hang up here or there. Thanks again.

Thank you so much for making this video. I have a 2001 Oldsmobile Bravada and the only instruction I needed was your video that I just kept pausing when necessary- well, and a little help from my dad with pulling those tight switches. -Katie

I usually connect the motor to the switch and move the regulator as I put it in the tracks, works like a charm ;)

Hi guys, driver window suddenly stopped working while the other three worked fine. This was my first window regulator repair and your videos made it a breeze. Deduced it was the regulator using the continuity tester light on the switch to make sure power was reaching the motor on the regulator before I ordered the parts. Ended up getting the regulator from you guys for 63.00 bucks, Came in two days. Using your videos I got the job done in 1.5 hours by myself. Could have used that helper :) thanks again for your videos it seemed to do the trick. Keep up the good work.

@5jpegs You would need to tape the window in the up position, and then remove any bolts that secure the bottom of the window to the regulator inside of the door. Hope this helps you out.

I used my angle grinder to grind those rivet heads off. Four 1/4 x 20x 3/4 long bolts with fender washers and lock nuts to hold it on.Thanx A1 Auto for this post it made it a lot easier to deal with this job...

The video was helpful. Thanks. Just some information in case it helps someone. After I got the rivets out, the regulator wouldn't slide forward at first because of the position the motor was in when it seized up. The gear in back would not clear the door. As it turns out, I had to use a hammer to knock the assembly downward enough so that the top of the gear would come out. Then, I hammered it upward to get the bottom of the gear free. From that point, it was loose and I was able to slide forward with no problem. I was then able to swap it out with the new unit. Also--it works so much easier when you have an assistant to hold and move the window as the video shows.

We currently do not have an auto repair video on that particular part. We'll keep this request in mind during any future repairs that we may make to this vehicle. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

Thanks for the video I just changed the window regulator assembly today and the door pins on an 02 Blazer. One tip though make sure you run the window down first if you can. I tried it with up and the gear for the regulator was down in the door frame and I couldn't get the regulator out. I finally figured it out to run the window down then it's easy to get the regulator out and the new one back in. Lube up the window track real good too. This is at least the 3rd regulator on the Blazer. It already had bolts that I reused.

I just had to do this repair, I used threadserts in the door, cause I have the tool, screws and loctite. Works great. Thanks for showing us how the regulator goes in the door. Rollers broke on my oem unit.
