Never gets old!!! True GOAT! ICONIC Performance! The whole show was incredible!! Best band as well. They have great chemistry and having so much fun! Great reaction! 😊
Big shout out to Phil Collins who has since retired due to health complications from being on tour for so long, multiple spinal cord injuries among other issues.
an OG GOAT and certified master of his craft...I saw this same performance on his First Farewell Tour in Florida...the entire concert is amazing and I suggest you check out more from this concert. He ran around, dance, and sang PERFECTLY!
Over the years, I've seen Genesis and Phil Collins perform a dozen times. It's heartbreaking that due to nerve damage, he can barely walk now. His son has stepped in as the drummer for Genesis, allowing Phil to continue performing vocals while seated on stage. These videos serve as a reminder of his immense talent as a musician and singer.
To think if he had not caught his wife having an affair and the ensuing problems with the telephone conversations with her … we would never have had this iconic song

Agree… getting old is bad enough without the added nerve damage and seeing one of your fav musicians suffering from the same thing is so sad…
The effect you liked is called a vocoder, usually by the keyboard singing and then the effect applied.
If you find that Time Machine, give me a call. I would love to go along for the ride. What a concert! And in Paris, no less. Great city, great food!

We can see a classic scene with this song, in the first episode of TV show "Miami Vice" (in 1984)
