Fishing lake Ontario, I found that gold spoons catch a lot of lake trout at 85 to 90 feet.
Makes sense! If you go to 3:38 in the video, yellow (gold) is one the most penetrating. Monkey Puke is a great color for Lake Trout on Lake Michigan and Huron as well. Thanks for the comment!

Makes me wonder how lake trout love the yellow and red five of diamonds pattern at 50 , 55 feet.
The yellow would still penetrate to that depth. The red would look dark.
sounds good but I think fish are colorblind
Not true. Some fish see colors differently than humans. But that’s not relevant. What’s relevant is that how they see color at 30’ is significantly different than at 100’.
