Felix you've opened my eyes on the uses of these knives. I agree with others, Swiss army knives should sponsor you as your such an excellent embassador! Purchased the champ as it suits my purposes now.
Are they not???? That is hard to believe. I'm going to write them, they should pay him a lot or at least send him every object they make for free! Me, and I bet many many others buy knives and tools from Victorinox Because of Felix!! He is the best possible embassador as you say, that has to be rewarded.
I believe this video was left off of the tips and tricks playlist
Who knew that you were also a musician? 👍👍
😅😅 me not..
I'm addicted to tips and twixery!.
Thanks a lot!
Victorinox Tips & Tricks (16/25) is missing from playlist. Btw thanks for sharing this amasing tips :D

Yes, thanks a lot for your feedback!

Hallo Felix
Wieder etwas gelernt.
LG Felix
Thanks again for your great demonstrations on how to use the SAK. The speed demo at the end of the video looks a little risky for an accident prone person like me !!!
if you start to drill the hole with the "normal" technique, the speed technique should be more or less safe.😅
Cool tips! Thank you, Felix.
Thanks a lot for watching!
Hallo Reiner. Ja, die Alox-Ahlen finde ich auch super! LG Felix
Danke, habe wieder ein paar interessante Kniffe gelernt! LG Micha 👍🏻
Danke Micha!
Always great tips. Thumbs up.
Thanks a lot my good friend!
I have been watching your videos, and just the other day I went and bought a victorinox Swiss army knife. I'm not sure what model it is called, but it has the word camping etched into the handle. &just today I used the sharp can opener to make a hole a little wider; like you might do to make a spoon, but without a crook knife/spoon-knife.
You have the camper, I just bought one of those three other day as well, though without the decal.
Again very informative Felix. Thank you. I recently bought a pocketknife from Böker and the awl on this knife might even be a little bit better than the victorinox. I was amazed about the overal quality, my suspicion is that Victorinox has had something to do with it.
Thanks a lot for your comment. I know the Böker Pocket Knives. In deed, the quality of the reamer is good!
Another excellent tutorial, Felix! You’re the man! The natural joy that radiates from you is so good. The speed technique is awesome! It’s safer, saves personal energy, and provides a nice upper leg massage! 😃
Btw, as you know, another benefit of the awesome RangerGrip 79’s awl/reamer (which I bought because of you) is that it is positioned such that it allows me to use your technique with the long end in my hand.
I’m really looking forward to the sewing video. Thanks again, Felix...!
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback!
Thank you for your great videos! Is the tiny rattle of Awl(side to side between aluminum liners) acceptable on my Victorinox Climber?
Sorry.. i don't know...
Usually the tools fits tightly and are not loose. Either it was used with too much (torsion) force or wrong grip leading to its loosening, or its a production error missed by Victorinox's own quality control. I'd bet on the former (might have been in the shop and not your mistake).
You can try pressing/hammering the knife with a rubber mallet to remove any play left between the tools and the steel liners. (Only the scales if at all are alumin(i)um, the rest are steels.
While using the awl/reamer or any SAK tool, hold/press down on the handle/scales tightly especially around the joint of the tool in use, to counter any torsion-stress on the tool.
Hope that helps.
Wow!
Excellent! New ideas for me. 👍
Vielen Dank liebe Susanne!! Liebe Grüsse
Felix
Do you have an instruction video for how to make that instrument?
Bring also some reviews of the new upcoming 2020 models!
Good possible that i will review some new kinves. But i like more to show techniques insteed of review knives.
Very nice tips! More power to you and your channel. Keep the good contents coming.
Thanks a lot for your comment!
@@FelixImmler another handy hint thankies good friend your an asset to your country stay safe 👍🐺🐾
Your tips an tricks serie is amazing. You demonstrate that having a good tool, and knowledge enough, you can do anything.... Fantastic...
Thanks a lot for this wonderful feedback!
Hello Felix! Greetings from Virginia once again. Excellent tip for the reamer. Thanks so much!
I am glad that you took the time for watching!!
Felix, you need to come to Tucson Arizona and enjoy our desert. You have so many fans here!!
Haa ha haa, thanks a lot Derek. I have three little childrens. At the moment it's not so easy to travel around the world.
Do you know if the reamer is the same size on every SAK? I know that there are different types the alox and the regular red ones for example. But lengthwise are they all the same? Or are they bigger on the rangergrip versions?
Sorry Sebastian... i don't know.
You are a fantastic teacher Felix!
Felix, after watching this video, I drilled a hole through a 3/4” piece of wood using the reamer and saw on a RangerGrip 79 two days ago. It was so easy. Your instructions are perfect, especially the grip. I only went in about 1 inch with the saw on both sides to keep the hole uniform. Clearly the hole could be much larger using more of the saw. Btw, I twisted a stick with a small knot inside the hole to smooth the inside. Excellent, excellent help you provide, Felix. Thank you!
Thanks a lot for your super feedback!
I really appreciate these fundamental technique videos. Not only can one learn to be more efficient but also cut a lot less often.
Super! Thank you!
Any info for making wood stick saxophone?
Thanks a lot for your comment. You find a step by step illustration in my new book.

Excellent tips that really work 👍
Thanks a lot Tony!
Danke lieber Felix, war wieder Super!
Vielen Dank mein lieber Freund!
hi Felix! can u show how to sharp reamer? mine is really dull.
Thanks a lot for this idea!
This man is the mvp!
Thanks you so much!
what do you use for the long hole in the flute .... long drill bit ? rolling technique ? holding bit with pliers ?
No, this is Elder. Elder has a soft big pith, which you can take out with a dry hard wood stick
If it all kicks off, I want this guy as my next door neighbour, all the best from the uk
Haaa ha haa, thanks a lot !!
Hi Felix - Danke vielmals für die Tips and tricke. Bleib gesund. ATB. Nigel
Dankeschön Nigel!
Great vid/tip as always! 👍🏻😄
Thanks a lot!!
Found another reamer video Felix. Thanks
Thanks a lot George!
Hi Felix, thanks for your detailed explanation about using the drill of the Victorinox pocket knife the right way, so little things are making a huge difference, see you tomorrow my friend, Taro
Gruss Steffen
Hallo Steffen. Danke für deinen Kommentar. Das Saxophon ist im "Schnitz it yourself". LG Felix
hi Felix. how can we sharpen this tool. i have an 27 year oldu vctorinox. i know how to sharpen every tool except this one
Thanks a lot for your idea!
@@FelixImmler ☺️
What's your opinion on the Climber?
46/5000
I like the climber, but I don't have a wood saw on it.
Such quality content, as always. Thanks Felix, I get so much from your videos.
Thanks a lot for this wonderful comment!
I tried that speed can opening in your last video and I could not get mine to work at all. You must be insanely strong to get it to work.
Ttry this technique... this need deffentliy no strenth..
Felix Immler
if canopener slips like some knives.. the knife blade will work in a pinch... jabbing downward.. be careful on the initial cut not to let blade fold and hurt you.. hold knife from the sides with the spine toward you.. blade channel away from you... hit the end of the handle with the palm of your hand or a baton...
Far be it for me to explain anything to you Mr. SAK, but the new Delemont "Evogrip" SAK's do have a sharp edge on their reamers. I know that Victorinox now owns Wenger, so really it is a non-issue, unless one was to believe that the new "Delemont Wengers" don't have a sharpened reamer and that might make a difference in their purchase.
I love your videos, so please don't take this as a criticism.
Thanks a lot for your feedback. As soon the Wenger knives are branded with Victorinox they have a reamer with a cutting egde. As much as i know the Wenger branded knives don't have a cutting edge at the reamer.
My friend you are awesome! Thank you very much for the knowledge you share with us! Greetings from GREECE!
Thanks a lot dear Manolis!!
Like everyone else who has ever watched one of your videos, I think Victorinox should pay you big bucks to design the IMMLER LINE of SAKs. They’d be monster sellers. I’m ready to pre-order. 👍👍🇨🇦
I tried but its very difficult with my Champ and my small hands... but I'll keep practising. Thanks, Felix!
another great video. cheers Felix.
Thanks a lot!!
Felix Immler is more cool than dry ice .
Thanks a lot for this compliment!
I have many scars on my fingers to confirm the importance of using care and good technique with the awl!
Good stuff again!
Thanks a lot for your positiv feedback!
Great as usual and of course many ideas
Thanks a lot Peter!!
Brilliant Job Mate and thanks again
Very welcome
I am a follower but if you criticize any Wenger tool again I'll unsubscribe ...jeje. greetings
what thoughts make ppl register dislike ?????????
Sorry i don't understand your comment!
Felix Immler
25 dislikes ! what would make people even bother to record a dislike ? just go away ! just click not interested !!
Great job Felix, I've drilled allot of holes with that tool, one of the best futures of the Swiss army knife in my opinion, had the occasional dose of blood but not for years now :) never thought of that high speed style but that's cool :-) new trick learned thank you
Thanks a lot for your comment dear Richard!
Hello, Felix ; Really Enjoyed these Tips & safety Ideas ! will Use These In The Future ! Many Thanks ! ATB T God Bless
Thanks a lot for watching dear Terry!
It took me several videos to figure out that you were saying 'fibers' not 'fevers' :)
Keep it up, digging your videos!!
Thanks a lot Chris!
Jawoll 😁👍🏻
Lg, Mike out 🙈🙉🙊
😂😂😂😂 Danke lieber Mike!!
Grande maestro!!!
That is very speed drill hole.
A hug from Chile, southamerica.
Thanks a lot Diego and greetings to Chile!!
Great series on the SAK, keep them coming!
Thanks a lot... i will give my best!
This instrument looks good
my first victorinox was a huntsman
I used it a lot in making bamboo flutes
Hey Felix, freue mich riesig - Dich wiedersehen!
Super Video - Super Tipps 👍 , Vielen Dank, Felix.
Liebe Grüße aus Deutschland

Herzlichen Dank für deine netten Worte Andreas!
@@FelixImmler Tüchtige Menschen sollen Dankbarkeitswörter hören, Lieber Felix. Viel Erfolg mit Deinem nächsten Buch. Bin bereits gespannt ... :-)

That was an interesting presentation, Felix, but it was full of holes. 😜
Hello Craig. Thanks a lot for taking the time and watch my video!
I need a tip or trick. I’ve got a Swiss champ and the only way I can open the reamer is to pull it up a little bit and use another sak to pry it the rest of the way open. It is so damned stiff and there is barely any surface area to grab.
Love the alox reamers
Yes... me to!
Exelente video amigo saludos desde México
muchas grazias!!
Hi Felix! Super Tips - wie immer! Alles Gute, André
Vielen Dank lieber Andre!
Hey Felix, klasse Tipps wieder, dank Dir :-))

Danke mein lieber Freund!!
how to make reamer easy to use? it has too much tension to open reamer. i wanna make this easy to use
Great tips Felix.
Thanks my friend for watching the video!!
Yes. Those Vic awls have drawn blood from me in several ways. Careful... They are also pointy. Good video. Thanks.
Thanks a lot for your feedback!!
Schönes Video, Felix.
Aha, das mit dem halten der Ahle war mir neu, also wieder was gelernt. :-)
Schönes Wochenende gewünscht.
Vielen Dank lieber Günter. Freut mich sehr, dass Du was gelernt hast!
you are great and your smile is a key in your videos, thanks Félix ..;
Just bought a champ because of your videos
Hi Felix, I love your videos! I’m sure you get this question a lot, but what would you say is the most versatile Swiss Army knife for most general camping and daily tasks? Thanks so much! 😃
Buy a huntsman
M. A Thank you :D
Yes, a huntsman is a very good tip!
Felix Immler Thank you Felix! :D
More magic from the Wizard of SAK! Thanks Felix 😄🇨🇦👍❤️
Thanks a lot Sean and greetings to Canada!
Just punched a hole through a book using the reamer
Love your videos...
Thanks a lot my friend!!
i’m left handed. what is the most practical method to use the awl?
