    Felix you've opened my eyes on the uses of these knives. I agree with others, Swiss army knives should sponsor you as your such an excellent embassador! Purchased the champ as it suits my purposes now.

      Are they not???? That is hard to believe. I'm going to write them, they should pay him a lot or at least send him every object they make for free! Me, and I bet many many others buy knives and tools from Victorinox Because of Felix!! He is the best possible embassador as you say, that has to be rewarded.

    I have been watching your videos, and just the other day I went and bought a victorinox Swiss army knife. I'm not sure what model it is called, but it has the word camping etched into the handle. &just today I used the sharp can opener to make a hole a little wider; like you might do to make a spoon, but without a crook knife/spoon-knife.

    • @TheaterGeek2007

    Again very informative Felix. Thank you. I recently bought a pocketknife from Böker and the awl on this knife might even be a little bit better than the victorinox. I was amazed about the overal quality, my suspicion is that Victorinox has had something to do with it.

    Another excellent tutorial, Felix! You’re the man! The natural joy that radiates from you is so good. The speed technique is awesome! It’s safer, saves personal energy, and provides a nice upper leg massage! 😃
    Btw, as you know, another benefit of the awesome RangerGrip 79’s awl/reamer (which I bought because of you) is that it is positioned such that it allows me to use your technique with the long end in my hand.
    I’m really looking forward to the sewing video. Thanks again, Felix...!

    Thank you for your great videos! Is the tiny rattle of Awl(side to side between aluminum liners) acceptable on my Victorinox Climber?

    • @FelixImmler
      @FelixImmler  Рік тому

      Sorry.. i don't know...

    • @MrChillerNo1
      @MrChillerNo1 Рік тому +1

      Usually the tools fits tightly and are not loose. Either it was used with too much (torsion) force or wrong grip leading to its loosening, or its a production error missed by Victorinox's own quality control. I'd bet on the former (might have been in the shop and not your mistake).
      You can try pressing/hammering the knife with a rubber mallet to remove any play left between the tools and the steel liners. (Only the scales if at all are alumin(i)um, the rest are steels.
      While using the awl/reamer or any SAK tool, hold/press down on the handle/scales tightly especially around the joint of the tool in use, to counter any torsion-stress on the tool.
      Hope that helps.

    Felix, after watching this video, I drilled a hole through a 3/4” piece of wood using the reamer and saw on a RangerGrip 79 two days ago. It was so easy. Your instructions are perfect, especially the grip. I only went in about 1 inch with the saw on both sides to keep the hole uniform. Clearly the hole could be much larger using more of the saw. Btw, I twisted a stick with a small knot inside the hole to smooth the inside. Excellent, excellent help you provide, Felix. Thank you!

      if canopener slips like some knives.. the knife blade will work in a pinch... jabbing downward.. be careful on the initial cut not to let blade fold and hurt you.. hold knife from the sides with the spine toward you.. blade channel away from you... hit the end of the handle with the palm of your hand or a baton...

    Far be it for me to explain anything to you Mr. SAK, but the new Delemont "Evogrip" SAK's do have a sharp edge on their reamers. I know that Victorinox now owns Wenger, so really it is a non-issue, unless one was to believe that the new "Delemont Wengers" don't have a sharpened reamer and that might make a difference in their purchase.
    I love your videos, so please don't take this as a criticism.

    • @FelixImmler
      @FelixImmler  5 років тому +1

      Thanks a lot for your feedback. As soon the Wenger knives are branded with Victorinox they have a reamer with a cutting egde. As much as i know the Wenger branded knives don't have a cutting edge at the reamer.

    Hey Felix, freue mich riesig - Dich wiedersehen!
    Natürlich, ›Daumen hoch‹ - automatischer Vorgang für Victorinox-Schamane!
    Die Blockflöte, oder - was auch immer - das ist, wurde mir am besten gefallen. 👍 Megapraktisches Gegenstand in der Zeit der Paarhuferpaarung. Bastelst du so eine Flöte und während man sein Bushcraft im Wald rüttelst - bläst man, wie ein Holzkopf in die Flöte - die Wildschweine sind gewarnt - ma bleibt gesund! Wünsche mir so eine Konstruktion! :-) Bemerkung: Victorinox sollte eine Warnung ausgeben - bevor man ein Victorinox-Taschenmesser erwirbt, man soll anfänglich Deine Videos reinziehen - damit würden ein Haufen dämliche Missgeschicke und Unfälle ausgewichen. Super Video - Super Tipps 👍 , Vielen Dank, Felix.
    Liebe Grüße aus Deutschland
    Andreas Arnst.

    I need a tip or trick. I’ve got a Swiss champ and the only way I can open the reamer is to pull it up a little bit and use another sak to pry it the rest of the way open. It is so damned stiff and there is barely any surface area to grab.
