    ⁉️ THE QUESTION:
What Happened to the Original 12 Disciples?
    ====================
    🎙️ THE ANSWER:
Well, the Bible doesn't tell us what happened to all 12 of them. It does give us a picture into a couple of them. We know that Judas betrays Jesus. He's going to hang himself.
We know that James in Acts chapter 12 is going to be arrested by King Herod and he'll be put to death. And then there's the historical tradition. This is outside the Bible, but the historical tradition of the church is that the other disciples died as faithful martyrs.
For example, Peter is someone who would be crucified upside down by Emperor Nero in Rome. We know that Thomas, the same doubting Thomas, he would go all the way to India, preach the gospel there until he was stabbed to death with his spear.
There's Bartholomew who would preach in Armenia until he was martyred. Philip would be martyred also in Asia Minor and then Matthew, James, Thaddeus, Simon, Andrew, all of them were believed to have taken the gospel to different parts of Asia and Europe and be martyrs.
John is the only disciple who is believed to have died an natural death. He was in exile on the island of Patmos. He wrote the Book of Revelation.

I have a question. We are always told that early Christians didn’t have bibles because paper and ink was too expensive. Yet John, while exiled to a penal colony got enough of each to write the book of Revelation. Plus we have over 10,000 early manuscripts. Paul also said to make copies of his writings and send them out to all the churches.

One the third day he said goodbye to his disciples and laid down in his grave and gave up his soul. The Orthodox Church has the knowledge of what happened to all the Saints and even the entire life of Christ's mother, Mary. It is held in our Tradition and passed down. It's too bad that so many people just don't know these things because they only look to the Bible (which btw was created by the members of the Orthodox Church and agreed upon in 325 at the Council of Nicea).

My kids also have a book written for children about his life. I'm glad you asked because it made me go read the section on him and realize that he actually reposed in Ephesus not Patmos. Also, like Mary the Mother of God, St. John has no grave because after his death his body ascended into Heaven to be with Christ. But unlike Elijah and Enoch, he died first, then his body was taken up. The Apostle John didn’t write the Gospel of John and the book of Revelation.
They were written by John-Mark, the rich young ruler, who witnessed the trial and went to the cross.
He was a pupil of Nicodemus and authored the Gospel of Mark as well.
”And Simon Peter followed Jesus, and so did another disciple. Now that disciple was known to the high priest, and went with Jesus into the courtyard of the high priest.“
      ‭‭John‬ ‭18‬:‭15‬ ‭NKJV‬
The disciple known to the high Priest was John Mark, the one whom Jesus loved….. note that disciple went into the court yard with Jesus!
      ………
Peter asked the question because he felt that Jesus should rebuke the other disciple as well since he also sort of betrayed Jesus

God's intention was that man would eat of the tree 🌳 of life but Adam ate from the tree 🌳 of knowledge of good and evil Satan's sinful life was the injected into man corrupting man. So God through incarnation took on humanity, outwardly He was flesh but inwardly He was divine. After 33 and a half years through crucifixion on the cross He nailed the old Adamic creation to the cross and also Satan and death were nailed to the cross then in hades set all those captive free and through resurrection became the All-inclusive life giving Spirit to breathe Himself into man so that man would live not by his natural life but by the life of God to live and express God here on earth forever to be the New Jerusalem God's kingdom

If the seed is the word of God and the seed was planted in Jerusalem; then what eventually grew in Jerusalem in all the spots Jesus was? The Catholic Church. A tree is known by its fruits. A catholic church is at most or all of the countries where the Apostles were martyred. The word Bible is Latin and it means book. Sancta Bible. So yes go to Rome. The Catholic Church also owns remnants of the Holy Cross of Jesus, Crown of Thorns, Shroud of Turin, Veil of Veronica, La Santa Anello which is the wedding ring of Mary, the holy house of Loreto which is Mary and Joseph's house in Jerusalem, Joseph's tunic. What validation does your church have that it is the true Christian religion amongst all the other Christian Denominations claiming to be the truth? Your church will eventually die off and that's the sad honest truth. The scripture: "and the gates of Hades will not prevail" is talking about the Catholic Church and not your church. We have survived every persecution there is a still standing 2,000 years later. You might know scripture but you don't know authority.
You search the scriptures because you think you have salvation through them-Jesus. You grabbing a Protestant Bible that's missing 6 books and altered by Martin Luther and claiming to be Christian is like me buying a Navy Seal training book from a yard sale and claim to be a real Navy Seal because I read the whole thing and memorized it but I don't acknowledge the US government as the authority of the US Navyseal training manual. Finally your church has no known miracles like the Catholic Church. The Eucharistic Miracles, the many apparitions of Mary: Our Lady of Guadalupe, Our Lady of Lourdes, Our Lady of Fatima, Our Lady of Las Lajas,Our Lady of Akita. Look it all up. Science studied by religious and secular scholars. Your church has absolutely nothing compared to that so leave Rome out of it because you don't know what you're talking about. Who introduced western medicine? Catholic Church. Who introduced Hospitals? Catholic Church. Who leads the world in sheltering the poor, feeding the poor? Catholic Church. Try to measure your church compared to that. Gloria tibi Domine.

In reflecting on the early days of the church, it's fascinating to consider how the absence of a compiled Bible parallels the Protestant narrative of sola scriptura. Back then, the early church fathers communicated through letters and teachings, living out and transmitting Jesus' teachings orally. This underscores the significance of sola scriptura, emphasizing the Bible as the ultimate authority for faith and practice, especially given the reliance on oral tradition before the scriptures were compiled. As Jesus said, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I’ve commanded you, and surely I’m with you always, to the very end of the age.”

The theologian Tertullian reported that John was plunged into boiling oil but miraculously escaped unscathed. In the original apocryphal Acts of John, the apostle dies; however, later traditions assume that he ascended to heaven.

    1) Acts 9:25- Saul is the first one to reach out to the Gentile in un-circumcised believer in Damascus, during early the apostles in Jerusalem reach out to the Jews circumcised believer heard the message the number of man grew 3000 to 5000(Acts 3:41, Acts 4:4) and Peter reach out to the Jews the place in Lydda and Joppa the Jews for the believer (Acts 9:32, Acts 9:43) Saul preach in synagogue that Jesus is the Son of God, for the Gentile in Damascus his followers took him by night and lowered him in a basket to rescue him, bur the Jews in Damascus conspired to kill Saul and the Grecian Jews, because Saul persecuted church in Jerusalem for the Jews disciples scattered out of Judes=Israel, if men and women did not go to evangelist will put in prison and the disciples in Jerusalem not believing Saul he really was a disciple(Acts 8:3, Acts 9:26) the scattered in Jerusalem persecution for the disciples to the land of Cyprus and Antioch telling the message Only to Jews(Acts 11:19), Barnabas and Saul a whole year reach out to Gentiles in Antioch for the un-circumcised believer called Christians first at Antioch (Acts 11:25-26).
    2) Acts 15:39-40- Paul and Barnabas had a sharp disagreement, Jesus mention Saul=Paul is my chosen instrument carry my name before the Gentiles he know the plan of Jesus for the revolution worked harder then all of other apostles(Acts 9:15-16, Acts 19:21, Acts 23:11, 1 Cor 15:10 ) , Paul he circumcised Timothy the father was a Greek, and Titus was a Greek for the customs for the salvation of Jesus(Acts 16:2-3, Gal 2:3) , and Paul mention Timothy my true son and Titus my true son ( 1 Tim 1:2, Tit 1:4) for the coustom of the Mary to testify Romans Catholic Church ⛪️ for the salvation.

There is considerable scholarly suggestion that the "John" who wrote Revelations was "John the Elder" of Ephesus, not "the Beloved". That book was written about 100 years after "The Crucifixion".I do appreciate the clearly stated reference to church "tradition" as opposed to a claim of historical fact regarding stories of the disciples. As for Judas "Iscariot" (possibly a corruptation of "Sicarii", fanatical jewish assassins of Roman and Roman sympathizers), did he die by hanging (Matthew 27:5) or by falling (or throwing himself) from a great height (Acts 1:18)? Which Bible contradictions do YOU believe are "True"? They can't all be.

Yes thats why History and tradition handed down is so important...check with your Orthodox Churches who hold the history upto each and every detail. FYI, the Patriarch of Jerusalem of the Syriac Orthodox Church H.H. Late Gregorios Abdul Jaleel brought the relics of all 12 disciples to India in 1665. Syriac Orthodox here from Kerala India 😊

The gospel (at first) went everywhere but Europe!
“Huh? I thought Peter was the first Pope?”
Well, that could be true if Peter was over 300 years old.
From the cross to Catholicism was over 300 years.
    So… How?
Why then is he called “St Peter?”
    Time to unlearn!

I've read the Bible with an open heart and mind, and so have many Christians (they still can't find the concept of trinity or man/God nature there because it doesn't exist in the Bible. Trinity is a 3rd Century made up belief imposed on the Bible. Jesus was doing things to prove he was sent by God not that he was God - "Jesus of Nazareth, a man having been set forth by God to you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by Him in your the midst, as you yourselves know" Acts 2:22)
While those who claim to have the holy spirit and they still can't make sense if it. That's why they have to conclude that it's a mystery because it's totally illogical and irrational to believe that an Eternal Immortal Ever Living Most Forgiving Merciful God would
    a) need to die
    b) to forgive sinners 🤦🏾‍♀️ completely contradicts the true teachings of Jesus Christ
Problem with Christians is that they ignore the explicit commandments of Jesus or misinterpret them and spend all thier time interpreting the vague/ implicit words to suit their beliefs.
I will happily follow the true gospel of Jesus Christ not the misinterpretations of Paul who never spent a single day of his life with Jesus and only had a vision.
Jesus said “Now this is eternal life; that they know You, THE ONLY TRUE GOD, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.” John 17:3
That's the true message of Jesus Christ.
