Her husband is right though. Sharing a toothbrush with your spouse is no more disgusting than sticking your tongue in their mouth. My wife and I were having this discussion a few days ago.
Yes, it is. The mouth is filthy until it is cleaned with a toothbrush and all that filth is still in that toothbrush, at least a little.

@@spencergsmith no, it’s not. Like she said, you aren’t scraping into the tartar with your tongue. It’s not even close to the same. The plaque buildup on teeth hides some very nasty bacteria. Kissing doesn’t disrupt that plaque like a toothbrush. You have no idea what you are talking about.

I don't know about you, but I use toothpaste when I brush my teeth, and I also wash it thoroughly when I'm finished. I also brush every day, which means I don't have a large buildup of tartar on my teeth, so it washes off relatively easily. And if it is as bad as you claim, one person shouldn't even be using the same toothbrush after a single use, or else you'd be putting that bacteria right back into contact with your teeth. According to your logic, one person reusing the same toothbrush is disgusting.
But please, go on about how I have no idea what I'm talking about.
