Hey Generation Tech, I just want to thank you for being one of the only Star Wars youtubers that haven't fallen into politics and rage baiting. It feels like so many Star Wars creators only are around to bash on the franchise and make the fandom so unenjoyable. Your constant stream of videos talking about the lore really helps me still stay engaged with the community away from all the "woke star wars is over" nonsense stuff
Generation Tech is where Star Wars Fans who REALLY want a deep-dive into the LIFE of someone living in the Star Wars universe come and thrive. You have a unique way of running a star wars channel that doesnt just rely on recapping stories, re-hashing points from the same comics over and over. You give us an insight into why we are probably lucky we don't live there! To your good health in the new year!
Its funny that I can always tune into this channel even after it's moments... I get it, a guy's gotta eat... no harm no foul... but the way you narrate allows a break, a suspension of disbelief even in a meta I find more fantasy than based in reality and used to scorn... but in our old age we tend to seem things with more nostalgia... I appreciate your work kid. Lol
Love these videos Alan. As someone who has spent a good chunk of his professional life and personal interest in aviation, I often like to look at who these manufacturers would be most like in our own world.
I know most people love their Corellian Engi Corp stuff, and for a good reason, most of their ships are so customizable its insane, however Mandal Motors just draws me like a badger to honey. Not gonna lie I'm with Din on "you will have to peel it off my dead body", with the Lancer being just what I would want to gallivant around the galaxy doing random jobs.
I like these "collection" videos, because it´s like rewatching an old episode of a show, and it is fun. Also, it is nice to learn new pieces of information, like for me, because I write a Star Wars Role Play Game for my friends, and I need some inspiration how to do the Top Gun inspired quests.
Hey generation tech there’s a UA-camr called the bread circus who does in-depth long documentaries on the Star Wars movies I think you two would make an amazing video together
If I was an investor I’d buy shares in Koensayr because they had parts used by nearly all space industries. My 2nd choice is TransGalMeg which sold ships to all sides during the GCW from starfighters to transports.
My favourite Mandalorian ship happens to be one not mentioned here; the Mandal Hypernautics Crusader-class Corvette, first and most prominently seen in Empire at War: Forces of Corruption. Given where this comments section is I imagine plenty of folks reading this will have at least some exposure to the ship, but for anyone who's not heard of it before: think of everything you know about the typical Mandalorian mindset, and what Alan described here about Mandal Motors. Now imagine people who think like that decide to design the theoretical ideal of a point defence ship. One of the fastest ships in the galaxy at sublight, bristling with weapons, and most importantly equipped with incredibly powerful targeting computers capable of shooting down even individual missiles. It's ridiculously expensive, but in the midst of a chaotic space battle the only place you're ever truly safe from small craft and ordinance is within the bubble of a Crusader.
2:52:16 This is the reason why droid starfighters out perform star ships designed for organics. Mechanical parts can resist far more force than an organic body. This allows droid starfighyers to have really high turn rates and de/aceleration rates. Droid strafighters are just far faster and more nimble than traditional starfighters. This is why Coloocid creations Nest is my favorite starfighter manufacturer. They designed the OP tri-fighter.
Sienar was so enthralled with spycraft in his endeavors, he could've been an ISB officer. The Empire gained slime suited to their MO. There was no one more corrupt than Sheev to buy Sienar's loyalty.
Did any of y’all have that one Star Wars vehicle guidebook from around AOTC for vehicles and ships? I remember spending countless hours just completely enthralled in that book
Love all your videos. Love all the info.. but after all these years i just have to say your mic sounds like 90s early 00s.. dont muffle your mic with a towel..just run it through a virtual mixer. Blue yeti have decent quality but no idea what your mic settings are set to 😅
What happened with this video the other day? I saw it pop up for a second a few days ago but when I went to watch it it disappeared. Did you just accidentally upload it early or something?
hey Allen, can u use your new AI skills to bring back the OG potato chip tv backdrop and bring it to life on ur new animated city scape greenscreen set up? Just for the throwback appreciation lol.
just don't use your long range recon ship (arc-170) in a dog-fight and expect anything good to happen.....all you end up with is a lot of dead air-crews
We have ion engines now. Yes, they're very efficient and have no moving parts. No, they're not built for high acceleration. They're as powerful as a mouse fart. When your methods of propelling yourself require that you throw propellant in the opposite direction at very high speed, and your propellant is an ion (lightest type being a hydrogen nucleus/proton as a positive ion and a single electron as the negative in) you have to find a way to get them up to nearly relativistic speeds in order to achieve the thrust required by a space superiority fighter. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the photovoltaic panels on every model of TIE would not provide nearly enough electricity to achieve that trust, especially considering most of the time there so far away from even the closest star. Boy, it's a good thing they invented the (insert magical hand wave gadget that circumvents the laws of physics). All they need now is a Heisenberg Compensator and Flux Capacitor and they'll be truly unstoppable.

Every starship manufacturer that we know about… there are probably hundreds of other companies we don’t know about because this is an entire galaxy
We can create our own companies in that galaxy and get imaginary wealthy.
This tracks. The starship of Star wars is the AR-15 of America. Albeit alot better of a weapon..
