Putting guns on the escape pods doesn't seem that smart... surely the enemy would target weapons engines and shields. In the very first star wars (i guess the 4th in order) vaders ship takes out subsystems rather than destroying the ship
Considering that the Empire was much more in the habit of “shoot first, ask questions if there are any survivors at all” then it makes a little more sense. Most rebels were not picking standup fights with ISDs and being captured by the Empire was worse than surviving so probably better to go out in a blaze of glory.
I would replace the cargo pods on some of the GR-75 with a heavy turbo laser or with 10 J-1 proton canons to threaten capital ships in conjunction with larger warships
@@kennedyjoseph7398 they carry supplies and infantry, it could be that the fleet use them to hold a contingent of infantry and supplies to keep the fleet going as they didn't have that many bases
How soon would you be able to upload a video of Star Wars fanon stuff that got canonized? (Like the designs of FractalSponge or the joke that Artoo swears like a sailor)
Oh love that idea!!!❤ Plz pay some attention to the fanon creations!! Especially creators who put a lot of effort and just talent behind what they create, and the expanded lore they add to the universe as a whole!👍🤌
I wonder how much more different the ships and rebels' weapons and tactics would be if their shipbuilders had built their shipyards around Deep Space Nine from Star Trek after the empire came into power?🤔 Also, on the other hand, how would Star Wars tech and weaponry affect Star Trek weapons, ships, and tactics as well? Add to it the effect of the advanced cyborg upgrades and updates they could get with their bodies to amplify their abilities to the max. Dude the weapons the rebels would use would be far more advanced and I could see some of the engineers making guns sort of like the teleportation sniper gun after hearing about it on DS9. Not to mention all of the phase-shift technology they have in Star Trek. Heck, all of the advanced species they never come in contact with in Star Wars could quite possibly give them far greater advantages against all Jedi and Sith if they met the right species in that junction of space. Also, the DNA altering they could gain in the clone making communities... bruh it would be an endless source of Republic and Rebels gaining unfair advantage after unfair advantage.
Weird question: if you have a ship that has a class 1 hyperdrive, and you are traveling in a convoy with ships that have a class 2 drives, can you slow your class 1 down to class 2 speeds to maintain equal travel time?
CR-70 with the escape pods disguised as cannons… very bad idea. You would want to target the weapons first to disable them… destroying the only way they can escape… I mean it’s a nice theory for an engineer to think of, but practicality isn’t the strength of an engineer. A member of any military would look at it and see… why the hell would you want to do that. What practical use would it have in combat. Would it draw more attention from the enemy? Would it draw fire? There are more important elements to a ship than disguising an escape route that would draw extra attention and fire.

I find myself caring less and less about the rebellion after hearing about all the wars and events that occured throughout star wars history, it only matters when the perspective is grounded through the experiences of luke and the gang, otherwise its just an ambiguous and uninspiring event surrounding a cause you cant care too much about because the grand scheme of extended star wars canon has made it meaningless and because it is the fight for a galaxy that is not our own, this is why i wish i could forget everything about star wars and just watch the original trilogy again, i love how charming its unintentionality is, where decisions were made on the gl budget wise and there wasnt some overambitious lore behind it, i think the simplicity of a space opera trilogy is what made it work
Love how corellian freighters, especially Disney’s ghost, just do whatever the plot needs to
14:49 the UCS Lego Venator caught me off guard
5:51 Okay fine, fine! I'll buy one already! 😉😜
They need to canonize the rest of the Rebel ships and stuff.
It also makes sense since Rebels will use anything they have
I love that every vehicle he uses a weird unit of measurement as a comparisons :P
Thanks!
Top ten! Love the long form videos, keep em going and may the force be with you. Always.

For the rebellion!

Not a bad idea overall
What confuse me is why they always take it into battle as far as I know it's just a Supply ship with a few other not combat roles right?

You are saying the ships name correctly
