I’m nervous for the exam because my teacher has just been giving us busy work this entire year and I’ve barely learned anything…I watched last years review live streams and took notes so I hope that’ll be enough for me to pass 😭
Sorry to hear that! I would really recommend the FRQ Friday series on my channel if that's the case. Writing FRQs is the hardest part of the exam if you haven't practiced it regularly all year. Check out that playlist on my channel and write as many of those practice FRQs as you can so you can review content and build your writing skills at the same time. Good luck!
“Please do not just watch these videos on 2x speed and call it good” Heh.. good job calling me out 😂 I’ll be sure to do other stuff too in order to study more effectively though, don’t worry XD 😅
Hey Mr. Smedes! Your videos are extremely helpful. In this video you said to focus on units 9 and 6, so I was wondering how you rank the units by importance.
Hi Amrutha, I just based that recommendation off of the exam weighting by unit provided on page 231 of the APES CED (course and exam description). I've attached it here so you can check it out for yourself. if you go by exam weighting, unit 9 (15-20%) is the most important unit, followed by 6, 5, 4, and 3 (10-15% each), then 7 and 8 (7-10% each), and finally units 1 and 2 (6-8% each). apcentral.collegeboard.org/media/pdf/ap-environmental-science-course-and-exam-description.pdf Hope this helps!
@@Mr.Smedes thank you for responding, you’ve made this journey through this class much easier, I think I speak for all of us when I say we appreciate you man
hi mr. smedes! i was wondering if spelling matters on the FRQs. like, if i spell something wrong, will i still get points? (ex. i spell the zooxanthellae wrong on one of the questions)
It's great to make it through all 9 units, but if you can't get through everything in 5 days, make sure you hit units 9, 6, 5, 4, 3 since they're weighted more heavily on the exam than units 1, 2, 7, and 8! Although Ideally you cover at least part of every unit. Good luck!

my teacher barely taught us but the best thing she did was have us practice FRQs the whole year
Think you could remake this video but instead of a week it’s approximately 9 hours 😅
hi mr smedes, do you know when you're going to do the live stream? id like to rewatch again and make more notes.
7:30 - 8:30 pm EST Sunday and Monday night! I'll get the streams scheduled tomorrow so you can set a reminder.

Nope! As long as the reader can interpret which word you meant, you’ll be fine.
