    Love it! Gonna see if I can get one of my worry stones to cooperate with me. Brand new with wire wrapping, and this tutorial made so much more sense to me than a lot of the written ones I've been coming across.

    Oxana, thank you so much! I think I'm going to try this one to secure a labradorite that I have. I tried one of the other tutorials you have (the 5 and 3 wire one that uses the same weave as this), and I just could not get it secure in there (although when I used it on another stone I did get it secure using 7 and 5 basewires, but this stone is too skinny for that). This is SUCH a relief to find as it's for a customer who wants a silver wrap! I am fairly new, so I wasn't exactly sure what I was going to do yet. Thanks again, and you are an amazing teacher!

    Love all of your videos that I have seen so far, question for you though...I have found some cute stones i want to wrap but it requires a cage of some sort and well the stones don't really have any nice flat parts and they are crazy shapes and none of them are exactly round or oval, will this cage technique still work or is there another design that can be done to keep the stones from falling out? Thanks in advance.

    @OxanaCrafts how do I put in a request for heart shape cabochon wire wrap tutorial? There's not many unless it's loop weaving. Or do you have a recommended wrap that would work well?

    • @OxanaCrafts
      @OxanaCrafts  5 років тому

      It's just that a lot of my customers prefer the antique dark look of the copper. I do get the occasional request to leave the copper un-oxidized.

    Hi Oxana, Thanks for this tutorial! I have a couple questions. First, do you wait to shape your woven base wires to the shape of the stone once you're finished weaving or do you shape them as you're weaving? Also, what brand of liver of sulfur do you use? Many thanks for all your help!!

    • @OxanaCrafts
      @OxanaCrafts  8 років тому

      +Erbekay Designs I shape them after I am done weaving. I use this one: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004PWBMXI/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_dp_ss_1?pf_rd_p=1944687702&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B00341129U&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0J2Y6RG50J0X87CQA1WZ

    Hi Oxana :) when I get to the part on the back where in securing the 20g wire to the weave, when I cut the 28g wire after I've wrapped it around a few times, I try to tuck it in but sometimes the wire is to thin in snaps, or it comes undone, and I'm scared it will start unraveling. I go around at least 5 times but I just don't know where to tuck the end. And i try to kind of clamp it all down to be tighter with my pliers but I've ended up cutting the whole bunch of them together they're so thin!! Help please and thank you :)

    • @OxanaCrafts
      @OxanaCrafts  7 років тому

      I would try gently wrapping the wire end using pliers. Don't necessarily pinch it down hard, but use a turning motion so the pliers push down that wire end and wrap it around so it no longer sticks out if you know what I men.

    Please help!! What is the name of the pliers you use in the beginning of this video to clamp the wires together and lock the pliars shut while you start wrapping so that you don'thave to hold the wires that way yourself? Or can you tell me where I can buy them? I am having SO much trouble trying to find them on the internet let alone a place where to buy them. And they would be so useful to me right now *sigh* xx

    Oxana, what kind of wire and color do I see in the triangular stone? TYIA

    • @OxanaCrafts
      @OxanaCrafts  7 років тому

      It is green colored wires. It is copper that has been enameled with a colored coating. Brands like Parawire, Artistic Wire, and Zebra wire will have colorful wire like this.

    • @RosaButton

      it took me about 20 mins just to straighten out the base wires😑
      you have any tricks you use to straighten them?

    • @OxanaCrafts
      @OxanaCrafts  7 років тому

      Why were they not straight? Mine come off the spool pretty straight just with a slight curve to them. Are you using dead soft wire? Nylon pliers can help straighten, you just run the wire through them.

  • @felixchin1438

    i love the side pattern. really stands out . but the top part appears to be too cluttered. also i prfer a simple design without too much clutter. the back i feel if there is too much wire protruding altho attempts are made for it to be flat but it will still touch the skin in an annoying way. it will feel obstructed.
    but in all honesty it is a very great design ...especially the side.
