@Arlene Beach just found this video. Was this Eaglet trying to tell its mother it was hungry? I don't understand the behavior and why it seems the mother wasn't feeding the Eaglet hugging the fish, but I don't know know enough to interpret correctly.
Are these the ones by the ocean? Catalina around there? Where Peter Sharpe fixed a cam or transmitter? Omgosh that little baby with the fishy! Can’t get over how close they were! In California! Wow!

Funny how it's so cute when the eaglet is cuddling the dead fish but when the mom or a goshawk is cuddling a dead eaglet all of a sudden it's not cute. Dead eaglets are adorable! Especially so if they are nourishing another animal.

Sad and terribly cute at the same time - the heat must have really distressed them, for the mother not to feed the young! I am confused now... I was watching the nest a month or so ago and I am pretty sure there were three eaglets. I saw a funny scene where Dr Sharpe came to give the chicks a 'medical', and the three of them spread their wings as if to make themselves look bigger and scare off the intruder :)
