"Lets take a bite before it gets cold!" Yeah, that ship had sailed a long time ago. I'd make an adjustment. Take a bite when it's hot and fresh - then, and only after, talk about the ingredients, their freshness, their flavor, etc.
My biggest gripe with these social media food "influencers". Take 30 minutes of video before trying the food. They need to learn to shoot B roll really quickly and then eat the food. In post production you then add voice over to the B-roll.
I had the EXACT same thought. Dude, just shut up and eat. You complained for several minutes about how hungry you were before you started eating. This was a BS video.
Yes the fries aren’t the best and it’s an acquired taste. The burgers are fresh and consistently good. One thing I can say is that our orders are always 100% correct and the price is good.
For their fries I've found over the years the faster you eat them the better they taste, once they get cold they fall of imo. The burgers aren't the greatest in the world but they are still a really tasty burger especially after you know how you like it customized, order your meat medium if you want it juicier. Best part is they pay their employees more than McDonalds and they don't price gouge their customers. Took my family to McD's two weeks ago and family of 3 cost $52, went to in n out last week same family of 3 cost $28.
Agreed about the fries. He got animal style fries get colder quicker than the regular fries. He just kept talking and talking and talking before actually trying anything. And he probably went to the worst and busiest In-N-Out in the Los Angeles area. You can tell it's going to be really busy location whenever you see a two lane drive-thru. The food quality and taste does tend to suffer when you go to an extremely busy location for any fast food chain.
Locals and long time In N Out customers will tell you that In N Out is not the greatest burger but it’s consistently good regardless of which location you go to. And all locations have long lines.
Its also the ONLY burger Gordem Ramsey would eat as his last meal. Same for Tom Hank and many Hollywood A sisters cause of its great tasting consistency! 👍
Do you know any locals? Cuz I don’t know any locals that don’t love it. Bruh a bomb ass hamburger for $3.50? McDonald’s charges that much for their tiny ass happy meal hamburgers….
I grew up in Orange County. Now I live in Mississippi. Whenever I go back, I always go to In N Out. It brings be back to my youth. All my siblings love In N Out as well. Animal style fries and animal style burger all the way! In N Out never disappoints. Like others say, it is better hot. I always get the fries well-done.
My longstanding association between "freshness" and "quality" was fundamentally re-evaluated when I finally had my first encounter with the fries served by In-n-Out
Yup. Fresh fries sound good in theory but actually are not great. Fries need to be soaked in water to draw out some starch to make them crispy. And often double fried. A famous drive-in chain in Seattle, called, Dick's, also has fresh cut fries, and why I like they mostly out of nostalgia, they are not crispy.
@@catlike1No one should go to Dick’s or I&O for their fries. GOD, do I miss the Dick’s tartar sauce though!! And a couple DELUXES!! I’m DYIN! I&O is without QUESTION the best chain burger! I’ve got his Shake Shack suh-WINGIN!! 😅
@@catlike1 You're wrong. And I don't say that lightly. In fact, I USED TO BE in that camp, but once I learned about processed, frozen food, I had a different pov, and I learned an important lesson; taste is psychological too. Their fries are DELICIOUS.
Fries are a weak point at in n out. Slight tip, order them well done to get them crispier... Doesn't solve the starchy issue but does make it better. Lastly, in n out wins on price every time.
I finally got to try it this year for the first time when I was in Vegas. I had been in Vegas many times before but never got the chance to get in there. I've been so hyped up about it for years I was worried it was going to be overrated. I can honestly say the double double animal style might be the best fast food Burger out there. Factoring cost and flavor no one is even close Shake Shack Burgers are great but they are also expensive.. Fries not so much
Welcome to California UA! I enjoyed your review. I'm a big fan of In-n-out. I've been eating there for years. Usually, the meat on the burger is delicious. I'm not sure why yours was so dry. I enjoy all the fresh ingredients they use, unlike the other fast food burger places and their prices are very reasonable. Thank you again for your thorough, honest review. I am looking forward to your next review of a California restaurant or fast food place. Keep up the great work!
"Fresh-cut" for fries definitely doesn't necessarily mean better. Great restaurant fries are often frozen at some point in the prep process. The best recipe I've ever used involves double-frying them and freezing them in between. Gives them a fluffy interior. I think In-N-Out's burgers are good for the price but a lot of the hype comes from locals. The fries are terrible IMO.
Nobody is stepping foot at your or my door. Shake shack is definitely a better overall burger but the proce point and overall value there is no way your beating In n Out. And besides the airport their service is consistently great across the board
I agree on the fries that's why I have only been there like maybe two times in the past 25 years since relocating to LA they're horrible like cardboard but if you have nothing to compare them to everyone here thinks there's a bomb yuck😢
Fresh is the best it's just that they don't know how to make fries. Essential is to fry them twice first at a lower temp. Then let them cool down and fry again at a high temp.
For an angry, hungry man, UA has too much patience because of us. Just dig in, man, and tell us about it later. Also, the fries suffer the most, when waiting, not that there ever was anything spectacular.
@@onyourself3369 It is except for this one right off Sepulveda/the airport. It's the one that ironically gets reviewed by influencers (including Bourdain) all the time because it's . . . right off the airport lol.
This is the best fast food joint when it comes to eating on a budget. Way better than McDonald’s, Wendy, and Burger King but priced around the same as these restaurants.
I think you should take your first bite as soon as you get the food so that it doesn't have a chance to cool down or dry out. After that first bite, then you can talk about your day/mood or facts about the restaurant. That goes for all your videos. Otherwise, I always enjoy your videos.
@@crunkin1t590 Maybe one day I'll find the time to do so. But in the meantime, the tip is meant for someone who's currently making food videos. It's OK to have opinions and make suggestions that you can't apply yourself. I assume you've critiqued movies without feeling th need to first make a movie yourself.
Ask for your meat to be cooked to medium if you don't want it well done. Having had In-N-Out for over 40 years, living in So Cal, it's a great bang for the buck and never gets tiring. I order mine: Animal Style (pickles, mustard, grilled onions + raw onions, extra sauce) is the best way to enjoy. BTW: Shake Shack is more expensive so you get what you pay for. You should try 5 Guys if you want larger meat patties.
I've never understood the comparison between shake shack and in n out. shake shack's "double double" and fries is quite literally twice the price of in n outs
@@christheking726if its a different tier why is he comparing it? Thats like comparing an Applebees steak to a Ruth Chris steak. Comparing something that cost double the price is idiotic
So I've only been to LA twice, and never made it to an In-n-out. Next time I'm there, I'm most definitely going! The potatoes need to be soaked to release starch, that's basic cooking. Shake Shack is great, there's one 2 minutes from Mom & Dad's house. Remember, the owner Danny Meyer is also a Michelin Star restauranteur, so you're getting that quality. 5 Guys is also right near me, that's my go-to for a fast food burger. Sorry about the crappy flight, but have fun, and safe travels!
well it took you 1 hour to get to biting into the burger, 2 hours to bite a fry and 3 hours to get to the milkshake.......both 5 guys that opened here in our local area within the last 5 years are already closed because their fries suck and no one ate at either.....
the problem with in-n-out is that people with horrible taste (and there are a lot of you) won't shut up about this place, so we keep trying it in different places waiting to finally get a good one and understand these people from California, but it just never happens, cause it's actually crap
You obviously travel for work as so I... Had my first In N Out two years ago in Phoenix... I think they're awesome... Just opened one here in Loveland CO last fall, its two blocks from my condo.... love it!!!
I actually tried In-N-Out Burger when I went out with my two sisters to see my dad in Phoenix, Arizona. I got a cheeseburger with lettuce, fries, and a vanilla milkshake. I have to admit, the burger was delicious, the fries were okay at best, and the milkshake was good. I thought it was cool that the workers ask customers which toppings they want on the burger. Overall, I give In-N-Out 8 out of 10.
@@hwanjung8230It was pretty packed when I ate there. But the In-N-Out I ate at was only a short drive from where my grandparents live, which is Auwatukee.
I recently found you and enjoyed your videos!!! and I’m really wondering why you can keep such a good skin and curious about your skin care routine lol
Still the best value for a consistently good burger. Five Guys has pretty good quality, but the prices are ridiculous! No wonder they are beginning to close locations!
I think most of the time, the Meat is juicy. You need to get the onions grilled. Shake shack meat does taste better. But the price is so much higher. A cheeseburger at shake shack is almost the price of a combo at in n out
As an LA native I feel like people who insist In-N-Out is awesome are more in love with the idea of In-N-Out and how much they enjoyed it when it was SoCal's worst kept secret 30 years ago and not really judging it by how good it is compared to the competition in 2023. I always see comments that are like "In-N-Out is the best!!!!" "But Shake Shack is better" "You can't compare In-N-Out to Shake Shack, Shake Shack is more expensive!!!" If it's the best, it's the best, you can't be like "it's the best within the specific band of hamburgers that cost exactly 5 dollars!!!" I mean, In-N-Out is fine and it fills a niche, but it is no more an incredible burger these days than Cheesecake Factory is fine dining. And yes, the fries are tragic.
As a burger goes, I'd eat it and know I'd enjoy it thanks to all the fresh salad served with the meat patties. Those fries though.. I cook fresh 'fries' (we here in the UK call them 'chips') all the time and the only time I've ever seen that cardboard texture is when I've had the misfortune to eat from a chain burger place. I always soak my cut chips in water to release the starch before rinsing, drying off and double frying to ensure they are fluffy on the inside and super crisp on the outside. But I appreciate that with such a huge daily turnover, with In N Out using fresh potatoes, that's not practical.
I dont know about your comment there is a reason why IN N OUT has been percieve as that because they are consistently good. And with their value its an added bonus. How are you gonna compare a botique burger like SHAKE SHACK which by the way if you order their burger complete with a traditional fixing its price as much as ISLAND BURGER OR RED ROBBIN?
@@islandrepublic9166You need to look up what 'boutique' means. If anything In N Out is a boutique establishment. That's what their entire business model is based on - intentionally minimizing expansion. Shack Shack is a global business found in many, many countries.
I had no idea you can’t take an uber from LAX! Something to remember when i head there again in future. Anyhow, so nice to see you in LA! Are you headed to anywhere else in CA? Please do a little SD trip if you can 😊
You can but it has to be uber black, so you'd be paying at least $40. Unless you have someone picking you up, be ready to wait for a shuttle that will drive about 20 minutes to an uber pickup point, and then wait for an uber/cab from there, so an extra 45 minutes at least to your travel plans. And nope I'm not in CA anymore but I hear SD is wonderful so I'll have to visit sometime!
That line is everywhere my friend never been to e slow In N Out in my life. And having Shake Shack and 5 dudes multiple times and tons of burgers across this nation In N out is hands down the GOAT of fast food 🍔’s!!!
Five Guys and Shake Shack are not your typical fast food/drive thru spots. In and Out is the best bang for your buck and hands down freshest quality wise over any other “fast food” establishments”. You’ll be paying close to $20 or more for a burger, fries, and shake at Five Guys and Shake Shack.
@@uaeats I do appreciate your honesty in all your videos and also reaching out. That’s why I keep watching you. Keep doing what you’re doing. You’ve got a loyal fan in me brother.
Every other burger place in Las Vegas charges 20$ for a meal. In an out burger charges 12.00$. I’m from the east coast and all meals cost around the same price. But when I’m in Vegas they all think they can charge 7 more dollars for the same meal. In and out charges the same price. For that reason alone it wins. The taste is as good as all the restaurants. Except White Castle. You forgot to mention free refills for the same price . I give In and out an A + for Service quality and most of all price.
BULLSEYE. THIS is what the haters usually neglect: VALUE On that most valuable level, INO simply cannot be beat. PERIOD Go to ANY INO at noon, and despite what ALL THE HATERS here spew, the MOST IMPORTANT THING - THE MARKET - is telling them to fuk off
If I'm in the LA/OC area, I have to make at least one stop at In-N-Out. Good burgers, not the best but good. Very good ingredients and sides. Never had bad service as well. Good review.
The burger was an acquired taste for me. I crave it sometimes, but it’s definitely not the most flavorful. It’s just good and clean. The animal style fries usually draw me in though lol
I always take a bus to Union Station ($10) downtown then go from there. We appreciate all your hard work and sacrifices to show us your food, thanks 4 the vid UA!
You can easily walk from any terminal at LAX to that In n Out. Takes about 20-25 minutes. No shuttles/Ubers necessary. In n Out fries are very average, but are improved if you ask for them well done. Also, In n Out is great bang for the buck. Shake Shake is more expensive.
My go to is a double double, added whole grilled onions, chopped chilies, well done fries animal style, and a chocolate shake. A flying Dutchman is a burger without a bun using whole grilled onions instead of a bun. The best secret menu item is the onion rings.
UA !! You are the best even your “ not happy space video” you seem the nicest and chirpy!! are you doing the burger never say say die /goldburger / burger she wrote ? Those are THE LA burgers right ?
I'm glad you still liked the video even when I was not in the best mood! But I think I should have reigned in the emotions a bit and not been so whiny this time. Thanks for the recs on those burger joints!
All you have to know is that a big Mac combo is $13. In & out double double combo is just a lil over 10 bucks. Shake shack is a sit down restaurant type burger and their double combo is $20. UA If you're still in cali you need to try the habit.
I like in n out a lot for what it is. I think it's definitely the best for the price point. But get even a couple dollars more expensive and they're outclassed. Burgers aren't an everyday or even an every month thing so I'd rather spend the extra money when I do have a burger to get a really nice elevated burger with high quality meat and toppings. I'd rather buy a $20 burger from a steakhouse once every month than get an in n out burger 4 times in that same month. I'm not really a fast food person though. Like I said though, for what it is I think it's the best in that lower price tier
A couple dollars more? 5 Guys is double the price! Yes, maybe double the weight of beef, but it’s not worth that price. Not sure what Shake Shack costs.
@@LawomenshoopsFive Guys distracts their customers with all the topping choices, but if you ever try their most basic burgers at their core (meat, cheese, ketchup and mustard), very very bland. They don’t season their burger patties! Plus they don’t melt their cheese on the burgers and ruin things by wrapping it all in aluminum foil (and not paper lined aluminum foil)….making it all soggy and ruining the experience even more, so how can they justify the high price?
You’re human. Those who watch you from the beginning understand your frustrations. If you ever go to Austin, TX. Your should try P.Terry’s. I predicted that your review would go this way😂 My reason I like In n Out is because it’s fresh😂 Is there better burger chains with the same price point? Yes. ( P. Terry’s) Good job though.
Thanks for being so understanding! After watching this after the fact I do think I should have kept my emotions in check a bit but I'm glad you can relate. Thanks for the rec, I do want to go to Texas sometime!
I think that In-N-Out is overall an acquired taste. Just a quick note, each location is carefully selected so that the beef is sourced locally. They never freeze their burgers. Everything on the menu grows on you over time. In fact, I'm loving the place so much that even if Five Guys swapped prices with In-N-Out, I would still rather go there.
I moved to CA when I was 30. Had never even heard of In-N-Out until moving there. This was pre-internet. I went with a buddy of mine, the first time. I really liked it. Even the fries. One can order the fries well done. McDonalds fries are literally a factory product. Treated and processed. In-N-Out fries were a whole potato just minutes before the finished fries are put in your order. It's like comparing apples and oranges. They may be potato based, but they just aren't the same thing. I no longer live in CA. The closest In-N-Out to me is about 60 miles away. I'd like to go, but the reality of spending at least 3+ hours just to have a burger and fries doesn't pen out for me.
I think In n Out is lighter fare. I can still go back to work and get on with my day after eating lunch there. I do also like 5 Guys but it's heavier food. Steak Shack...I don't really think it's on the same level as either of the previously mentioned. I also think you need to eat the food wherever you are as soon as possible. Better that way. Like your channel even though we disagree...slightly.
I grew up a mile from INO. It’s a staple for me and most of my friends. I have had friends move across the country and overseas and they all stop at INO when they come back. Because it’s what we grew up with and we’re used to the taste. We don’t expect someone from out of state to taste and critique it and say it’s an amazing experience. We almost think of it as mom’s cooking.
In n out NEVER freezes meat, and all their ingredients are cut same day. I’ve had all the other chains and I do think that in n out is much better when compared apples to apples and the simplicity of it is amazing. No need to have 50 things on the menu. In n outs success speaks for itself.
Good first time experience. I’m not a fan of the fries but I did learn ask for them “well done” and they double drop them, kinda like McD. This is for regular fries, I’d let them do Animal Style the way they do. The big thing is the not-so-secret Secret Menu. Try a DD Animal Style next time. Google for all the myriad of options. Yes, they can be busy at meal times 7pm dinner. That’s Anthony Bourdain’s favorite location but he loved the chain totally. He always traveled when he was a live and doing his show. The LAX location was like you found out very convenient. That Uber deal sounds awful. Depending on your time in LA and your proximity to Marina del Rey I’d like to suggest Killer Shrimp and of course the dish they named the restaurant after. They have presence on all the big socials for info. Have fun! I’m looking forward to Phillipe’s I’ve only been once but was blown away. It’s just not near me. Oh that mustard on the table, that they make! Oh!
He does this at every review. I get that the video needs an intro and a description etc but he always lets the food get cold then says “it’s dry” “it’s cold”
in-n-out is definitely a hit or miss when it comes to people outside of california or people who have never tried it. What makes in-n-out the best is the customization. People order what pleases their taste buds. They might only have 3 different burgers but you can customize it to your liking. I personally LOVE LOVE LOVE the 3x3 animal style, with whole grilled onions + raw onions, extra toasted buns with chopped chillis. Fries have to be well done.
In N Out is by no means greasy. The problem is the secret menu and takes forever to order and get your food because ppl are taking 10 mins to order a burger with all the special requests. get rid of the hidden menu and things will go a lot faster. And then again you probably thing Shake Shak is a great burger.
Great Video UA I loved your story about traveling to LA and Lax and I agree with you 100 percent we had to get a bus to get our rental car I live on east coast too and was hungry 😂
Gonna have to disagree with this one! Don't get me wrong; In n out is CERTAINLY OVERHYPED especially since social media has been blowing things out of proportion; but IMHO it is still the best fast food burger joint where you still get great filling and delicious food for under $15. (my order is always animal fries, double double w chillies and a LARGE choco/vanilla shake ;) Also, you def gotta eat it asap during cold weather otherwise it'll def get a bit dry. The animal fries stay great even if you pop em in the microwave, but yes their regular fry is completely unremarkable if not bad.
In n out burger for the most part are not dry unless you wait for the burger to get cold while reviewing it. Also I agree the fries are mid and absolutely have to be eaten hot. But like I said he took a while to eat his burger and fries. I think 5 guys and in n out burgers are neck and neck. Shake shack is not the same value for money.
i love In and Out burger. I also LIKE Shake Shack burgers. The first time I had Shake Shack I thought it was much better than In and Out. The meat patty is better in flavor than the In and Out patty. But one thing I've noticed is that the consistency between the two. Almost every time I get a Shake Shack burger it always looks thrown together sloppily. Sometimes the burger is only on 30% of the bun! Every once in a blue moon I get a really nice Shake Shack burger but usually it looks like hell. But at In and Out the bun is always fresh and sitting on top of the ingredients which are always fresh. Much fresher than In and Out. And I've been through more than a few In and Out Burgers- LA, Bay Area, Vegas, etc. And the quality is top notch at all of them. The one in LA was particularly great. So good I went back in to get another before my return trip to NY! And of course the price- so much cheaper than Shake Shack. For me all things together make In and Out the winner for me. Just having a great meat patty alone isn't enough. Maybe quality of Shake Shack has gone down since it expanded? When they had the only one in Madison Park Midtown.. that one was great. Still was more expensive but at that time I thought it was a lot better than In and Out. But now i've changed my mind. I always have In and Out at least a few times when I come to the West Coast. And also...if you go during lunch or dinner... its always busy like that. Every single time...a testament to the love Californians have for the brand. Now if we could only get one on the East Coast...:)
I am going to go out on a limb and say part of the reason Shake Shack can use dry aged beef is because they pay their workers less while also charging 2x+ more per burger.
Be advised.... All In-N-Out Burger locations are NOT created equal. The LAX location is particularly bad - extremely busy at all time, and as a consequence, service and food quality suffer. If you want the best experience, it's always best to go early. The posted hours say opening time is 10:30am but, in actuality, they almost always open at 10:00. Arrive early for best results and you will understand why the brand is a California favorite. 🍔🍟🥤
I haven’t had In-N-Out in years, but from what I remember it was really, really good. I think the problem is a lot of other fast food places have since caught up with the quality that In-N-Out offers. As I typed that you literally said that too haha
Why is this guy whining I have lived in Southern California for years I have never been let down by In and out I now live in Tennessee And I'm welcoming the news that they will be opening up a location here Double Double with grilled onions is the way to go
Just discovered your channel, now subscribed! Ok, I’m also east coast but have done In-N-Out before. Some observations: 1) Get your Double Double and cheese with green chiles. (I also do no lettuce, just my thing,) 2) Always order any fries with “Burn the fries”. That way they aren’t burnt but crispier. 3) Next time try a Neapolitan shake, 3 levels of flavor to enjoy separately or mix. Very tasty!
In n out has to do with price. If they had prices like 5 guys nobody would go. Also the prices are higher now. Costumer service is the best at In N Out also. Its noticable
I've only had in N out a handful of times since I moved here. I still prefer shake shack for burgers but in N out is a good deal and I like the animal fries. I guess we get used to the LAX lines, still better than getting into and out of Jfk! 😂
I love In-n-Out but you’re absolutely right about the fries. I don’t ever order them any more. They need to soak them to get the surface starch off so they can get properly crispy instead of kind of gummy. If I’m that hungry I’ll just get a second burger.
That was, hands down, the best review of In-n-Out I have ever watched. And I am in complete agreement. I live here in LA and I have never been excited about In-n-Out. Their burgers are ok. Fresh? For sure, but not stellar. And, no, I have never cared for their fries (when we get their burgers, we'll stop at McDonald's or Burger King for fries). It's strange because, on one hand, I "want" to love it, as it's a So Cal icon, but it's just ok. The absolute best, best burger I have ever eaten was at a restaurant called Serratto, in Portland, Oregon. The beef was so beefy-tasting and it needed no ketchup or other condiments. Alas, I have never had anything that good, but it truly was an amazing burger (yes, really!). Regarding fries, years ago, McDonald's used to have the best fries, as they fried them in beef tallow (fat) which gave them a crispy outside, but the inside was tender. Today, they fry them in vegetable oil which makes them mushier (blech!). Burger King's fries are good, although I don't know what they fry theirs in.
I remember being excited with my first visit there.. I was not impressed...Same with Johnny Rockets.. It is more about the atmosphere than quality. Have you been there?.. They are California based as well..

@@catlike1No one should go to Dick’s or I&O for their fries. GOD, do I miss the Dick’s tartar sauce though!! And a couple DELUXES!! I’m DYIN!

Thanks for watching the vid and I'm glad you enjoyed it even if you disagreed with my take!
Yes, at a minimum they need to be soaked to bring out the surface starch
You literally went to one of the worst In N Out locations there is. This food is legit good and cheap too.
But all the other top comments are saying In N Out is great because it's consistent at every location lol.
@@onyourself3369 It is except for this one right off Sepulveda/the airport. It's the one that ironically gets reviewed by influencers (including Bourdain) all the time because it's . . . right off the airport lol.
I can testify. I never had dry meat at an In n Out except near the LAX
most overhyped burger place in the history of burger places and their fries belong in the garbage
This is the best fast food joint when it comes to eating on a budget. Way better than McDonald’s, Wendy, and Burger King but priced around the same as these restaurants.
Lack of flavor negates the price benefit
@@charliebakerspen so does the soggy azz fries. Personally I prefer McDonalds over In N Out
I think you should take your first bite as soon as you get the food so that it doesn't have a chance to cool down or dry out. After that first bite, then you can talk about your day/mood or facts about the restaurant. That goes for all your videos. Otherwise, I always enjoy your videos.
beat me to that comment.

Most don't let you order medium anymore...
I like the 4x4
Genius tip about onions!
They definitely won’t let you order medium. Their burger quality isn’t good enough for them to do that for you anymore.
Yeah I used to do this and it was great but they stopped allowing it a few years ago I believe.
Unfair comparing the Double Double to burgers cost Double the price - Shake Shack Double cheese and 5 guys
I've never understood the comparison between shake shack and in n out. shake shack's "double double" and fries is quite literally twice the price of in n outs
@@ahduhm yup price wise shake shack is not worth twice as much
He said it’s a different tier 🤦🏽♂️🙄
and he said the price is fair
INO fries are DELICIOUS. People have been conditioned by JUNK processed, frozen food. Once you UNcondition your mind, you'll see.
well it took you 1 hour to get to biting into the burger, 2 hours to bite a fry and 3 hours to get to the milkshake.......both 5 guys that opened here in our local area within the last 5 years are already closed because their fries suck and no one ate at either.....
both times I have eaten at in and out have been awesome......
Then by all means enjoy your tasteless in n out burger and granite plated french fries
5 guys legitimately have the best fries in fast food. They use expensive peanut oil.
the problem with in-n-out is that people with horrible taste (and there are a lot of you) won't shut up about this place, so we keep trying it in different places waiting to finally get a good one and understand these people from California, but it just never happens, cause it's actually crap
Yeah shake shack opened here in my neighborhood in LA. Wasn't impressed. And it's pricey. In n out still the best burger chain for me
Can never go wrong with a 3x3 extra whole grilled onions and spread only on a toasted bun with a fry well
3x3 is the way to go
You obviously travel for work as so I... Had my first In N Out two years ago in Phoenix... I think they're awesome... Just opened one here in Loveland CO last fall, its two blocks from my condo.... love it!!!
I'm going to let the secret out on that sauce-Thousand Island salad dressing. They aren't soaking them in water nor par frying first.
The in n out in Phoenix are always packed!

Thanks for the kind words! I have not but now I need to try it
I think most of the time, the Meat is juicy. You need to get the onions grilled.
Shake shack meat does taste better. But the price is so much higher. A cheeseburger at shake shack is almost the price of a combo at in n out
Hey UA nice vid. Since you are in Cali, ( I hope you still are), it would be nice to hear your thoughts on Carl Jrs......
In and Out is awesome. Tell me a better burger at the same price. Price absolutely matters in the fast food game
Gotta order the fries well-done, makes them slightly more enjoyable.
The fresh veggies make the burger. The fries need to be well done and eaten hot! I like the minimal menu, easy to decide.
Yes, what is it about fries? When they're HOT, they're delicious, but when they get cold, they're awful.
Great video! Will you go to other LA restaurants like Musso & Frank Grill, Pizzeria Mozza, etc.
Fries have to be eaten right away they can't sit for too long, but you can't beat the prices you can get a burger and fries for around 6 bucks
I have never had good fries from in n out, they just don’t have great fries
Hello UA. I like your videos, I am wondering what camera, stabilizers you use?
UA, you should eat the burger while it's hot. Your interlude appears to be talking a lot - so the burger gets cold. Flavor suffers.

PRICE IS IMPORTANT
Every other burger place in Las Vegas charges 20$ for a meal. In an out burger charges 12.00$. I’m from the east coast and all meals cost around the same price. But when I’m in Vegas they all think they can charge 7 more dollars for the same meal. In and out charges the same price. For that reason alone it wins. The taste is as good as all the restaurants. Except White Castle. You forgot to mention free refills for the same price . I give In and out an A + for Service quality and most of all price.
BULLSEYE. THIS is what the haters usually neglect: VALUE
On that most valuable level, INO simply cannot be beat. PERIOD
Go to ANY INO at noon, and despite what ALL THE HATERS here spew, the MOST IMPORTANT THING - THE MARKET - is telling them to fuk off

My go to is a double double, added whole grilled onions, chopped chilies, well done fries animal style, and a chocolate shake. A flying Dutchman is a burger without a bun using whole grilled onions instead of a bun. The best secret menu item is the onion rings.
You should get a double double w/ whole grilled onions and add chilis

MCD fries 🍟 cost 6 bucks now?!?
great analysis on the fries... spot on!
I agree. Although I do think that if someone mostly values bang for your buck rather than best objective taste In N Out is a solid option
A couple dollars more? 5 Guys is double the price! Yes, maybe double the weight of beef, but it’s not worth that price. Not sure what Shake Shack costs.

3 x 3 animal style, chopped chilies. No fries. If you are getting animal style fries you have to eat them on the spot before they get cold.
When I went to CO (I'm from Florida) I can firmly say the burgers were mid at best and I had way better on the east Coast.
You have to try Culver's.
Its good. But the one in my area is inconsistent. Sometimes the ingredients are not fresh
My sister & I went to an In-n-Out, my 1st time..not impressed..the fries were terrible....I will stick with Five Guys, & Killer Burger!
Big fan of Five Guys!
The fries are awful at in N Out. Go for the burgers.
Ill in in n out anyday a third of the price of five guys and shake shack
It’s just not near me. in-n-out is definitely a hit or miss when it comes to people outside of california or people who have never tried it.
You can order fries, "fried" the way you like. I order them fried light. No cardboard texture.

Indeed, if you have no one to pick you up or you're not willing to pay for uber black, the commute to your hotel from LAX is quite a pain!
Gonna have to disagree with this one! Don't get me wrong; In n out is CERTAINLY OVERHYPED especially since social media has been blowing things out of proportion; but IMHO it is still the best fast food burger joint where you still get great filling and delicious food for under $15. (my order is always animal fries, double double w chillies and a LARGE choco/vanilla shake ;)
Also, you def gotta eat it asap during cold weather otherwise it'll def get a bit dry. The animal fries stay great even if you pop em in the microwave, but yes their regular fry is completely unremarkable if not bad.
INO fries are DELICIOUS. People have been conditioned by JUNK processed, frozen food. Once you UNcondition your mind, you'll see.
As a Californian, I would say the shakes are the best, the Double-Double in really good, and the fries are sub-par.
Just my opinion, in n out burgers is by far the best fresh tasting burger for me , it is consistently delicious. Judge it by taste and freshness .

Other places caught up but are charging DOUBLE the price
I think In N Out is great compared to lower tier fast food chains like McDonald's and burger king, but I still really dislike the fries
@@uaeats I won’t argue that! Have you had Culver’s? If not, I think you’d really like them. They’re known for their butter burgers!
@@DFrost25Culver's is so good 😋
@@uaeatsINO fries are DELICIOUS. People have been conditioned by JUNK processed, frozen food. Once you UNcondition your mind, you'll see.
Why is this guy whining
I have lived in Southern California for years
I have never been let down by
In and out
I now live in Tennessee
And I'm welcoming the news that they will be opening up a location here
Double Double with grilled onions is the way to go
You ate the fries COLD!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just discovered your channel, now subscribed!
Ok, I’m also east coast but have done In-N-Out before. Some observations:
1) Get your Double Double and cheese with green chiles. (I also do no lettuce, just my thing,)
2) Always order any fries with “Burn the fries”. That way they aren’t burnt but crispier.
3) Next time try a Neapolitan shake, 3 levels of flavor to enjoy separately or mix. Very tasty!
In-n-out is a great burger if you’ve never had Shake Shack
And Shake Shack burger is nothing compared to Ruth Chris steak burger. See how easy it is to compare something that cost double the price?
@@steveno7058 honestly, I'd rather have the SS burger over Ruth's Chris
In n out has to do with price. If they had prices like 5 guys nobody would go. Also the prices are higher now. Costumer service is the best at In N Out also. Its noticable
I've only had in N out a handful of times since I moved here. I still prefer shake shack for burgers but in N out is a good deal and I like the animal fries. I guess we get used to the LAX lines, still better than getting into and out of Jfk! 😂
True JFK is a nightmare!
GOOD LUCK FINDING ANOTHER JOINT THAT SELL FRESH BURGERS FOR THAT PRICE
I remember being excited with my first visit there.. I was not impressed...Same with Johnny Rockets.. It is more about the atmosphere than quality. Have you been there?.. They are California based as well..
Half the pleasure is sitting in the restaurant. The burgers are ok but I am in love with the nostalgia
It was absolutely a very cool atmosphere. Felt like a restaurant frozen in time
Have you done Culver's yet? Beat the menu options...
NO chain beats I&O burgers. Even Tony Bourdain & Gordon Ramsay both admitted their love & addiction of/for In-N-Out. Nuff said. 🤷♂️
