Ah, those things are "fun" to have... By law here we have to have them on to prevent getting a fine from overly bored policemen, so what we do is we clip them on for the ride to the forest, take them off once there and repeat on the way home. Except once I forgot to take them off and one of them managed to hit me in the face when it decided to yeet itself at 45 km/h downhill on a road.

Diamondback frames have come a long way. Glad to see them back in the fray and there's no denying that you've helped them get alot of exposure. They were a boutique brand back in the 80's when I used to ride BMX (these brands didn't embrace the MTB revolution: Skyway, CW, Mongoose, Redline, Haro) although Mongoose is making strides. Would love to see DB and Mongoose grab some markethshare by lowering prices on high end bikes. Good looking ride BTW

With the pandemic i lost my job so we use the old bikes we buy from the fleemarket or tianguis here in México... we enjoy watching you hacks and how you can ride at the back of you own house. Just soak the sticker in it, peel it off and clean the area with a rag
Works on anything from vinyl record sleeves, comicbooks and movie cases to glass, metal and plastic without damaging the art or paint underneath

A couple things. Firstly, it's understandable that you had a spill previously on that course. Pretty aggressive course. And seeing silver in your hair and beard, you have a few years on you so your reaction time is gradually slowing and you're going to bruise a bit more easily and take a bit longer to recover as you age. No sin there. We all get old. But you're in good shape and riding will help keep you that way. Just may have to tone it down a bit going forward to prevent injuries. I'm nearing 70 so I know a little something about aging. Finally, if you're having trouble finding the "hole" put a little hair on it. You'll find it. 😄 Good vid.👍

The dreaded tire bead seating! I always lightly spray the bead with a bit of soapy water to ease the seating process.

Seth, pro tip for building up new bikes. Locate the seat/post first. Stick in in the frame and then pull the whole bike out and stick it straight into the work stand. Now you can peel all of the packing off without leaning/balancing.

nice bike! i kinda like the color, I know what youmean as far as wanting/ not wanting a new bike, you had the older dialed n set up just the way you liked, all the right adjustments, parts, etc, just the way you like. you dont really need anything else. What you got/had works just fine for you.

To be honest, I kinda liked your ‘old’ bike. It was your style and this black to blue colour was perfect, but hey, this orange 5c is so nice!!
