    Nice review. I just purchased one for my 15 year old son who loves playing with the 88S. He also has an 88D, but I feel he need more wrist strength development to tame the head heavy racket. For the 99, I strung it with the BG66UM in two (2) colors. My local badminton shop (AK Badminton in Fremont, California) used black strings on the vertical and orange ones on the horizontal. It is visually stunning.

    YES THANK YOU. I've been scouring the web for a review on this racket for so long! I've just got back into badminton and was looking into upgrading to either the astrox 88s, 88d or the soon too be released 99. I know that different rackets may be for different people, but in your opinion, is this the best racket that yonex has put out so far in general(doubles & singles)? Was going to probably choose between the 88s 3u or 88d 4u, but after seeing this I'm really considering getting this instead. Thoughts?

    • @ClubRackets
      @ClubRackets  6 років тому

      Aquawave it was only released today in the UK!

    • @anthonysom4618
      @anthonysom4618 6 років тому +1

      4u if you want a lighter racquet; more speed, less power and more suitable for doublse. 3u if you want a heavier racquet; less speed, more power and more suitable for singles. You probably already know this but, the 88s is more orientated to the frontcourt doubles player, as the 88d is more orientated to the back court doubles player. In my opinion, I feel like the 88d is better than the 88s when it comes to singles. However, Viktor Axelson, a singles player, used the 88s in the Europe championships. If you're really not sure, I'd just go for the 99

    Finally bought one today! Had played with it for close to 2 hrs. My feedback would be it is a deadly combination of Astrox 88D's power and Astrox 88S's speed(Though not as speed as 88s though).. Very easy to use. I felt this one lighter than 88D. Awesome racket, i felt very comfortable from just the first hit. Definitely worth to consider!! Note: I am using 4U version and playing doubles.

      Hi sir.. You played with ASTROX 99?
      I play doubles.. I've planned to buy a 4U racket.. But I'm stuck with 88S or 99.. Can you help me in choosing one? People say 88S lacks a punch in rear court.. I want the speed of 88S and the smash also to be good.. Astrox 99 does it? Or 88S is still the best ?? Reply reply..

      @pavithravigneshv4510 6 років тому +1

      Hi Bro.. I had the same doubt whether to buy 88s or 99, i was using 88d. About 99 it definitely feels quicker than 88d and it is slightly more powerful than 88d. I suggest you to buy 99 4U which will suit you in doubles both forecourt and rear court. I personally feel 99 will be better than 88s. This racket is definitely quicker than 88D..

    I’m about to go pick up a new racket. I’m a intermediate player so I was gonna start off with the 77 as it sounds like a good all rounder for doubles and singles play. Curious to see if u think the 88 or 99’s are a significant upgrade from the 77 or if the differences aren’t that big? Also I know you said that it isn't a beginners racket, and I'm also worried that the 99 might be hard for me to use. I can play I'm just not advanced, so do u think I would struggle with this racket?

    Hi Sir. Thanks for the wonderful review. I already own a astrox 88D and i am planning to buy astrox 88s due to its speed. Just confused whether to get astrox 99 or astrox 88s. I play doubles often than singles. Does astrox 99 4U matches the speed of astrox 88s.

      Pavithravignesh V I don't think so no. I think the 88s will be faster but I will have to play more.

    Which one would you say is more closest to the power of the zf2? I just sold my zf2 and i got an 88D 3U but its not coming till next week. I have strong arms used to body build my arm and likes to smash and aggressive. Which one would be closest to zf2? Ax99 or Ax88D? Thanks!:)

    First of all great review! Wanted to ask if there a big difference between the 3u and 4u version of the AX99? Would choosing 4u means less power? Or by using 3u you will eventually get used to the weight and thus can play single and doubles?

    • @ClubRackets
      @ClubRackets  6 років тому

      Albert Putera I haven't had a 3U version yet as they aren't launched in the UK until October. 5 grams does make a big difference to how a racket performs though.

    Hi, I bought an Astrox 77 (4U) a month ago, i found it a little light (to my dislike) when i started playing with it. Do you think i should give the Astrox 99 (3U) a go if i'm looking for a heavier racket?

    • @ClubRackets
      @ClubRackets  6 років тому

      europaexplorer yes definitely but I think the next step up from the 77 4U is the 88S 4U.

    I have a Voltric Z Force 2. Is it worth the upgrade? I have big strong arms and can pretty much handle the weight. Im an intermediete-advanced player and i’m pretty strong. Im also aggressive in the court.

    • @ClubRackets
      @ClubRackets  6 років тому

      Matt Z it's worth trying it if you can. I think you will find an improvement in your game long term with a lighter Astrox 99 especially if you mainly play doubles.

    Im using Astrox 77 metalic blue version and im really looking forward to buying new racquet. I really want to buy a Voltric 80 e-tune. And since its hard to find it in my country, i cant play with it before i buy it (to test it). So do u think are those two really diffrent in weght and feel? And can u give some toughts about a proper way to string VT80ET (what if its not stringed in that way?).
    Btw sorry for my bad english.
    Much love from Croatia.

    • @ClubRackets
      @ClubRackets  6 років тому

      Vid Matanić never been much of a fan of the Voltric 80 E-tune. When I've played with it, it feels very heavy. The Astrox 99 is a much better racket. If you want something heavier then wait for the 3U. Otherwise I have one VT80 E-tune left in stock!

      @@ClubRackets Thak you for your response. And i forgot to ask you what do you think between VT80ET and Voltric z-force 2?
      Is it better for me to buy a VT80ET because its cheaper than VTZF2 and i saw a lot of reviews that say that these two are pretty similar to each other

    • @vidonja3409
      @vidonja3409 6 років тому

      ClubRackets.com Can u answer me some questions please, because i think im gonna buy VT80ET.
      1. What are the ways of paying on your site?
      2. Do you have free shiping to Croatia?
      3. Is strining and grip selecting free?
      4. And did you test VT80ET with or without additional parts?
