…improved video to the Astrox 77 one, keep em coming guys! I have both versions of Astrox 77's and must say the blue one(3U) has got so much power and touch that have to say BEST racket I've played with thus far. Yellow one(4U) isn't bad either for playing maybe a faster offensive game. Will save up and give the new 88 a try...
I hav both astrox 77 4U and astrox88s 4U, im play doubles. Now im use astrox 88s the different is 88s is stiff racket but can hold the shuttle. Im feel it can hold the shuttle coz maybe flex on the head frame. Drive shot i got similar 77 back to back court also more power. Smash is more power so thats why 88s got E.B cap. Energy boost cap. Totally im feel different touch n feel. Nice sound hitting . Fyi im use bg66 tension 26.
Good review, but needs clarification. These rackets weren’t specifically designed for kevin and marcus. The one that truly designed them behind the scenes is Lee yong dae
@clubrackets Hi, I started playing with a nanoray 70dx and then later permanently made z-force 2 my Religion . I have a duora z-strike and a duora 10 in my bag just in case he strings go off on my zforce2. Can you please compare a zforce2 and the new astrox series if or so anything is similar to the zforce2. I play doubles and smash a lot with a lot of flat shots as well . Which one do you think would do nice for me. Zforce2 or any of the new astrox rckets. Please do suggest 😊
Ankit Saraf the nearest Astrox to the VTZFII is the 3U Blue version of the 77. However one of my customers recently switched from the VTZFII to the Astrox 88D and loved it so much he came back for another!
I play doubles generally and would consider myself as intermediate. I always play with Yonex Mavis 350 PLastic shuttles and essentially a frontcourt player. Which string and at what tension should I use for Yonex Astrox 88s? I don't want the damage my racquet since it is costly.
Aerobite is a very good string for doubles because of the way it can help you control the shuttle. It can get expensive though as you will need to restring it more often than thicker gauge strings to keep it working at it's optimum level.
ClubRackets.com I m currently using apacs z ziggler racquet and I want to buy a new racquet....wch Yonex racquet should I buy wch is kind of similar to z ziggler??
Good review, thank you very much. At the same time anyone can advice that since AX 88 are targeted for doubles players, will it make any sense to use for the singles players for singles games? Any comments would be appreciated.
Both of them can be used for singles of course. The 88S may prove a little difficult to get the big kill shots from the back but is good at most other things. The 88D would be fine I think. Not quite as much power as the 773U for singles but it is faster. Both the 88's are quite light but have a very solid hitting feel on the smash and other overheads.
Also Can you tell me If I want to be really fast and really powerful in both singles and doubles which racquet will help me. The racquet should be fast in defense also be able to generate power in smash effortlessly? 88d or 88s (I've heard that 88d causes a lot of shoulder pain, is it?) Once I picked up it feels very heavier but I don't have hitting experiences with 88d. Does it cause arm fatigue? Is it speed enough to defend a powerful jump smash?
Which one has more power? The 88D or the 77? I have a 3U 88D. People say the 88D has similar power with the zf2 which i used to have. Im a doubles player intermediette level
For a person who like smashing and play around 3-5 hours each time. Which racket is better? Astrox 77 4U or Astrox 88s 4U? I am looking for a racket that I can use and smash without hurting myself. when playing 3-5 hours. I play double most of the time, and single sometimes. Thanks in advance!
Very nice video. I am currently using Astrox 77 3U5 and Astrox 88s 3U5 and not satisfied with the power of performance. Would you like to give me some advices about upgrading to Astrox 88d 4U or 3U? Thanks a lot and really appreciate.
Hi Linh, we only have the versions below over here but the easiest one to generate power with is the 88D (4U) for us. UK 77 4U - Yellow 77 3U - Blue 88S 4U 88D 4U
I have the nanoray 900 and a play singles and doubles. I feel a lack of power with the Nanoray 900 in singles, cause in doubles is great. I dont have a regular partner so im on thr front and back of the court. What you recomend for a upgrade?
aniket soman well to state the obvious it's the weight. I personally can't use the 3U VTZFII as it's too heavy for me and too slow. I rely on having long arms to generate power rather than a strong action! I haven't had a chance to try a 4U so I can't really help with that one.
Hi im curious which would be better for doubles? The 3U or 4U? I understand that 4U is mainly for doubles but i am in a confusion due to the fact that the arcsaber 11 3U is more used for doubles. Would the Astrox 88 be any different?
The Astrox 88 are both 4U so quick but balanced differently to give two distinct rackets. It's not written in stone that 4U is doubles and 3U is singles. It's just that lighter rackets tend to be quicker so better for the faster game of doubles. Use what feels good to you! I have used the Arc Saber 11 for quite a few years. I like both of the Astrox 77, although I personally find the 4U a little too light and the 3U a little too heavy. I like the feel of the 88 D as it is in between the two.
Is the Astrox D head heavy?? I've played with the voltric z force 2, and it was a bit too head heavy you see! Also, is the smash on the astrox D a lot better on the S? I've just bought the S and I'm a bit worried you see haha
It's a combination of the 88S (Green) being shorter so the grommets are lower in the picture and yes the grommets are moved slightly to the sides of the frame deliberately, I assume to help speed up stringing.
Hi, the grommets are placed the same on both models on the head but since one is longer - I have put both handles equal - then they will appear at different heights. Some of the grommets are offset a little to the edge of the frame which I have to say makes stringing a bit easier.
I never have anything bad to say about the Arc 11 as it is a great racket but the Astrox 88S & D are a great step forward. The power and precision are both greatly improved over the Arc 11 in my opinion.
ClubRackets.com sorry late reply could reply to me in depth as possible to question below do you string your rackets to 30lbs or above if not please tell me why not do tell me the type of strings used do you flex or swing what type of stiffness of shaft will be preferable for you (flex mid flex stiff) could you name the each part aspect of racket (structure) are you able tell me why the feather shuttle can slow down or speed during flares (drops shots) and why is it called fold rather than smash. these are some questions I like your answers to be truthful as possible thank you
Hi thanks for the reply. I have got a weird request, hope you will oblige me. The 88s 4u which Alex was using in the video, would you be able to do a flex test? Does it bend with a gradual arc, or does it have a weird stiff bend at 1/3 of the racket from the bottom, and the upper part stays unflexed and straight. Follow look at the following picture to see what I mean: www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/index.php?media/bend.976/
I have a question I hope u can help me with..I play doubles mainly and am usually the back player doing the smashes but also love to be able to have some control for net play.. Would u recommend the 88 s or 88d or should I wait for the astrox 99? Is the 99 more for a singles player?.. Appreciate some advice. Thanks in advance
Hussain Ally I think go for the 88D. The 99 looks amazing but I think it will be more singles. I think it's aimed at being a replacement for the Voltric Z Force II.
Omg.. I am confused day by day,... Made up my mind to buy the Astrox 77 but now Astrox 88D and 88S, new rackets from Yonex..!! Am confused sir, Plss Help..!!!
A K I'd suggest the dominate as it has more power but the coaches I hit with (who are better than me) both enjoyed the Astrox 88S. Best to try them first if you get a chance.
I'd have to say probably for singles the 3U blue Astrox 77 but it of course depends on your style. One of our young lady superstar players loves the 88S for singles.
is the astrox 88d good for singles?i am an really offensive player and does it deliver the power compared to a voltric z force 2 4u?i am deciding a racket between these two which should i get and are they good with plastics? Thanks :D
Sir.. Hi.. I'm from India.. Just one suggestion to buy a racket.. Irrespective of singles or doubles.. Which one would you pick in 77 Vs 88S.. I saw many 88D and 77 in my court.. But never seen 88S.. So pls temme which shall I buy..??
Hi can you tell me about the head weight of the astrox 88s and 77 yellow? I know that both of them are head heavy rackets. Is it that heavy? Can you feel the weight or is it just similar to even balanced rackets? One more thing how about the swing speed ? Cause in the last part of the video you said that the astrox 77 yellow is a lighter racket than the other models . can you compare it to victor jetspeed s10 4u? Its my main racket and i just want to know the difference in terms of swing speed and head weight. I like your racket reviews and I really find it very helpful 😄. I will wait for your reply. Thank you. Have a good day!
Hi Kurt, the yellow 77 and 88S don't feel that head heavy to me as they are so light. They are both very easy to move around, much more so than say something properly head heavy like a Voltric Z Force II. I haven't compared the AX88S and JS10 directly but I'd say the JS10 is a little heavier. I will have a bit of a swing when i get to the shop this afternoon!
ClubRackets.com Hi thank you for giving some time to reply . Hope you give us more information about these rackets and other more. It really helps in buying the right racket suitable for one's play style. Thank you and have a good day!
The Voltric 70 e tune is for good players though 😏 and you might not be able to find one. It's very light and head heavy. If you don't have good technique, you might strain your arm. If you can find an arcsaber 7, that would be a very good choice. 👍 Even balance, flexible and a forgiving racket.
Hi there. I am using Astrox88s 4u strung with Bg66 force 23lbs. But i am not satisfied with its smash power. Can you give me sone advices for the string and tension. I need the racket a little more powerful. Thank you so much.
While I would normally say that increasing tension would lower the power, I think that 23lbs is pretty low for a racket as nice as the 88S. I would try going a couple of pounds higher with the tension and you may enjoy the hitting feel a bit more.

MegaBorgon.. Bro, which string is best for smash and power for the Astrox 77..??
You better go for earobite for 77
MegaBorgon... I got the Aerobate in my Votric Force racquet... I want smashing power
Sir.. What would you pick in one.. 88S or 77??
Partha Sarathy im choose 88s now.
that smash sound like Honda vtech
I love badminton and i love all your video
astrox 88d smash sound is incredibly satisfying
Good review, but needs clarification. These rackets weren’t specifically designed for kevin and marcus. The one that truly designed them behind the scenes is Lee yong dae
Very true!
Great review! How would you rate the speed and power of them against the Z-Force 2?
Much faster, probably not got the ultimate power of a ZFII but they generate much more speed which is what you need in doubles!
Great, that decides it for me then!
Great work on the quick review. First out and you now have one new subscriber, keep it up :)
Chris Ponter thanks. Hope you decide to buy from ClubRackets.com 👍
I have the the 88s and ut is way better comparing to the zf2
@@麟-f4y in what ways?
I love the astrox series😍
i want buy 88s bg65ti pull at 27/28lbs , the hitting sounds will be same as in the video?? 4:03
Yes it will, if you hit it as well as Alex does!

here in austria and germany, only the 4u versions are available. so i had to stick with the blue 77 4u. would love to have the 3 u because of power...
Yes powerrrrrrr
What strings were used in both rackets? Tension too
howard he Yonex BG65ti at 26lbs.
Yonex suggests aerobite. Hmm, I wonder which string should I use. I usually use bg66

I don't quite understand how the 88D is the longer racket overall but has a shorter shaft ? Does it have a bigger head then ?

88d out of those options but there's better singles rackets.

I haven't had so many chances to play with various rackets so really thanks for your information.
I have the nanoray 900 and a play singles and doubles. I feel a lack of power with the Nanoray 900 in singles, cause in doubles is great. I dont have a regular partner so im on thr front and back of the court. What you recomend for a upgrade?
Ivo Soares if your used to a Nanoray 900 I think you would get on well with the Astrox 88S it is a stronger frame which develops more power.
1 more question,how much difference is there between z force 2 3u and 4u?

Danny Roberts yes the D gives a bigger smash.
Is the D head heavy compared to the S? What's the smash difference between the S and D?
nice review.... very good👍👍👍
Hi, a quick question. What type of string and how much tension I should choose?
That's really personal preference. BG65ti and BG80 are most popular. I wouldn't recommend going over 26lbs if you haven't done that before.
2:48 is the green racket's top grommet misaligned?????????
It's a combination of the 88S (Green) being shorter so the grommets are lower in the picture and yes the grommets are moved slightly to the sides of the frame deliberately, I assume to help speed up stringing.
ASTROX 88D AND 88S are still not available in India... Should I buy the Astrox 77..??
Is the 88d a 3u or 4u
4U
what is the string tension do you you use in each AX88S and AX88D?
In this video it was 26lbs. When I play with the 88S now I use 25lbs.
Is the placement of grommets off on the S model? At 2:44.
Hi, the grommets are placed the same on both models on the head but since one is longer - I have put both handles equal - then they will appear at different heights. Some of the grommets are offset a little to the edge of the frame which I have to say makes stringing a bit easier.
ClubRackets.com I hope it's intentional and not a manufacturing defect.
kgpnerd yes it is intentional. 😀
Hey Can You Tell Me Use Of the Special Plastic at the Bottom Of The Bat Head.
Sorry I'm not sure which bit you mean?
The Two Plastic Pieces Covering The String On Either Side Of The Bat Joint Which Is Not Seen On Normal Bats. Can You Tell Me Its Use.
Thank you for the awesome review! How does the astrox 88s and 88d play compare to arcsaber 11
I never have anything bad to say about the Arc 11 as it is a great racket but the Astrox 88S & D are a great step forward. The power and precision are both greatly improved over the Arc 11 in my opinion.
super good sound ever
Are these rackets that are being tested 3u or 4u ?
Hello sir.. For axtrox 88s, 4u version, for your opinion, can it string up to 30lbs? Thank you for your respond..
It is not recommended as the range is 20 to 28 for this racket. However if you string it properly the frame will be fine at 30lbs.
@@ClubRackets Thank you sir for your advise..
ClubRackets.com sorry late reply could reply to me in depth as possible to question below
do you string your rackets to 30lbs or above if not please tell me why not do tell me the type of strings used
do you flex or swing
what type of stiffness of shaft will be preferable for you (flex mid flex stiff)
could you name the each part aspect of racket (structure)
are you able tell me why the feather shuttle can slow down or speed during flares (drops shots)
and why is it called fold rather than smash.
these are some questions
I like your answers to be truthful as possible
thank you
Hi, please could you tell me what strings are used in this video
Yonex BG65ti at 26lbs.
ClubRackets.com thank you
Which string is good for astrox 99 and the string is must be durable and controlled and also with power....??
Dhriyiman Das durability+power+control is a hard combination to find! I'd suggest perhaps BG65ti or BG80.
What string and tension used for astrox 88d?
Hi the rackets used in the video is a 4u or 3u? String used is? Thanks
jacc douglas they are both 4U and they are strung with Yonex BG65ti at 26lbs.
ClubRackets.com hi thanks for your reply. would you recommend nbg 99 or bg80p for this 88s racket?
Both are good. NG99 more for control.
It seems to bend like the bottom picture at 1/3 of the shaft. I guess this is because Yonex add different materials to different parts of the shaft.
ClubRackets.com cheers mate
What is the recommended strings for the 88s?
Try 66 Ultimax or 65ti.
How much lbs ?
Was the girl in testing from pdh sports? Or is it pdf?
No, but I can see why you might think that.
What is the pull of the strings?
Omg.. I am confused day by day,... Made up my mind to buy the Astrox 77 but now Astrox 88D and 88S, new rackets from Yonex..!! Am confused sir, Plss Help..!!!

Both
Ok I think first he tests 88d and then 88s
Which is the best for the single player from overall angle?
And ranked all the yonex badminton on the basis of single and double please.
I'd have to say probably for singles the 3U blue Astrox 77 but it of course depends on your style. One of our young lady superstar players loves the 88S for singles.
Bro, how price this raket? Please help
Widodo Lekat at the moment they are £185 each including stringing and delivery.

is the astrox 88d good for singles?i am an really offensive player and does it deliver the power compared to a voltric z force 2 4u?i am deciding a racket between these two which should i get and are they good with plastics? Thanks :D
aniket soman yes they are very powerful rackets. Can be used well with feathers or plastics.
ClubRackets.com thanks for the quick reply probably gonna go for the z force 2 :D

Partha Sarathy 88S for me.

How does the 88s compare to the 4u 77 in the back court
Quite similar but I prefer the feel of the 88S. It seems to have a cleaner hitting feel, probably due to the slightly stiffer shaft.
will you recommend 3U 88D for doubles?is it too heavy?
I think both the rackets are 4U. The 88D is designed for doubles, it is quite quick and easy to handle.
They do have 88D 3U version in my country ..so I'm wondering which one should I pick..the 3U or the 4U?
Hi can you tell me about the head weight of the astrox 88s and 77 yellow? I know that both of them are head heavy rackets. Is it that heavy? Can you feel the weight or is it just similar to even balanced rackets?
One more thing how about the swing speed ? Cause in the last part of the video you said that the astrox 77 yellow is a lighter racket than the other models .

The blue ang the yellow are the same racket, just different colours, both comes in 3u and 4u
There is difference in the stiffness of the shaft, genius
I choose 88 version. Since I born in 1988 lol
I thought you liked the Arc 10 PG mate
Archer Knight yes it's very nice. Only have 1 left! The 88's are better though.
Awesome review
Ehat is the best for singles astrox 88 s or D?
Probably the 88D but both can be made to work with different playing styles. I think Viktor Axelsen used the 88S for a while.
Big fan of you great review anyways
are these 3U or 4U versions?
Both 4U. They are the only version available in the UK.
@@ClubRackets have you ever tried the 88D 3U?
Is astrox 88s also good in smashing??
Yeah it is pretty good. What it lacks in raw power it makes up for in speed and precision.
@@ClubRackets oouh.. Many said that astrox 88s feels similar with astrox 77...is it tru?
Can you use it for singles to?
Andy 278 yes of course. I think the 88D would be a better singles racket.
Which one has more power: Astrox 77 or 88d
Ethan Ngui I would say the 773U and 88D are pretty even but the 88D is quicker.
I need the blue astox rakcjet
Wow
Astrox 99 vs Astrox 88D please
I wish I had this racket but I'm too broke
Ned Bot i feel you 😢
Same here friend ☹️
Same goes to me
At 4:04 the racket sounds like a throwing star
Younex is best racket
Astrox 88S 3U or 4U?
We only have the 4U version. 3U would be too heavy for a lot of players.
Giveaway anytime soon?
Magna M.St. huge one soon. Sometime in june.
ClubRackets.com Nice, I'll keep waiting then!😎
Which would you recommend for late intermediate to advanced player?
I would say they are both ok. I love the 88S but I have sold more 88D as people like the extra head weight for smashes.
can you show review of duora 10 i'am also haveing that raquet
hey dude what strings and tension this men ? thank you

Hi club rackets. Have anyone seen astrox replica or fake rackets. Kindly throw some light on it...

I did mine at 26lbs. The suggested range is 20 to 28lbs for each racket.

Hi Josh, right at the end I do a little comparison between the 77's and 88's which may help.
