James Cussons i’d say it gives a more balanced feel in general? i’ve not tried this technique but i do wrap a few more rounds at the tip. helps prevent the racket from slipping off in sweaty situations.
I've tried modifying my racquet with different tapes and all. All I can share is that adding tape will change the balance point, but will not affect the swing weight. His A99 will feel a bit more balanced but when doing overhead shots, the head will still have the original weight. Hope this helped!
