Woooouuuu... what a change and how the scale or the solo wins in color!!!!. Steve, I once read that Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman played their own made-up scales!!!! . That's possible???
Hi. Thanks so much for your comment. I agree, that one note gives the scale a whole different color. More melodic I think. Sure, you can build your own scales. You can start with the basic scales and add or remove notes as you please. It's really up to you ,what works for you and the sounds you like. Our ear and personal preferences are always going to be the final judge. Some musicians make up their own tunings as well. Joni Mitchell is one of them.
Hi. Thanks for commenting. It's really simpler than that. The major pentatonic scale has the notes R 2 3 5 and 6. We are changing the 6 for the major 7 since that is the note that belongs to the major chord. The minor pentatonic already has the 7th added and it's a minor 7th. Minor pentatonic is R b3 4 5 and b7. Replacing the 6 for the maj 7 gives the scale a different sound or color. A bit more melodic. Hope this helps and answers your question.
I have practice pentatonic scale for a 2 years but can't come out with even one guitar solo except the scale itself😅 14 13 13 14 14...the whole year next year the same scale 14 13 13 14 14 13 at A pentatonic
Hi. Thanks for commenting and sharing. Here is a short lesson that might help. It's about the difference between practicing a scale and trying to make music with the notes. Check it out and hope it's helpful. Let me know how it goes for you. Keep up the good work! ua-cam.com/video/0bHhQ-CLQJ8/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/6CC-q14XgHg/v-deo.html

Donc le principe est d'ajouter une note caractéristique de l'accord la 7eme pour un accord du 1er degré la 11 ème pour un accord du 4 ème degré
