Revisiting this post a year later.... So I watched True Romance (a Tarantino screenplay) for the first time, just earlier today. And guess what happens to Gary Oldman's character..........yup.
Love this film , the acting in this scene is incorporated throughout , brutality , humour , brilliant music throughout . Pam Grier is one hell of an actress totally convincing as are the rest of the cast , 10/10.
I love the split screen sequence, right when it shows the gun missing from Max’s car to the sound of the click is some of the best editing and timing I’ve ever seen.
Most directors wouldn't bother to include the sound a lamp light back makes you turn it down. They would buzz just before the light went all the way down.
Tarantino is great at characterization. Beaumont got himself cornered into the back trunk of a 1980 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight Regency. Jackie Brown, however, turns the tables on Ordell, and convinces him what she is willing to do for him. Jackie brown is master of counter-offers against both criminals and the cops. Brilliant!

i will always Love this movie by Quentin Tarantino. The movie opened up a appreciation in me for a love of movies.....for all future..... i have not really seen a more "cool" movie than Jackie Brown. It's just so dam good. Nope, i know nothing about movie making, not a micron about casting, directing.....plots.....scripts.....shooting..... But i believe in people that make these great movies.....those people are helping society and helping masses of lives along the way.... My life goes on, with the bonus of how this movie helped. The music is fantastic and transports this movie into a memorable gift. Thankyou, Quentin Tarantino.....and thanks to this channel for clip sharing. O___o
You're right, Jackie Brown is a masterpiece, the last of three consecutive gritty black comedy crime films that Tarantino made, Dogs and Pulp being the first two. Honestly thought Tarantino would just do these types of movies, like how Woody Allen was only making romantic comedy-dramas.
I’m so shocked on how fit and slim black women were back in the day- I just recently seen a picture of my great aunt from the 70s and she looks similar to Pam Grier and she was standing Infront of her car which was a Pontiac gto
