Nicely done sir. You should look into the permanently mounted retractable ratchet straps. They bolt on. You pull them out and hook them to the boat. Then crank them down. When you are done you release them and they retract back in. Love mine.
genius, pure genius...best set up for 10E trailer I have seen, and I have seen a lot of them (on youtube)...especially the trailer lights and the combo rollers and runners...wondered why at first when you installed the combo, but when you launched the boat it was instantly clear...just a little pressure and the boat launches itself...thanks for sharing, now I am an inspired 10E owner...
The boat rolls so easy ive considered shortening the roller and extending the runners. Since the short tongue limits my wench cranking, I'm going to try a power drill to wench the boat on. Thanks for watching.
The struggle is always with reload. My trailer purpose was to go easy on the back. Do you leave the 75lb marine battery in your boat. Main advantage to me is to limit battery handling they are so heavy. NICE rig
Thanks for the roller idear....I have a field and stream angler 8 and that is just a great idear...think I might put some 12" rollers on the end to help with the angle of the boat coming off the trailer...thank you for a great video...P.S...waiting for 10 foot pond prowler to get back in stock..so I cam move up in size...jimmy.
Another great video. Great idea about raising the tail lights, I have been bending my licence plate on my 1 ton tilt bed Harbor Freight trailer, it will also keep them out of the water.
Okay, so I wondering how you attached your carpeted bunks to those shelf brackets (you call angle irons). It looks like you bolted them on with the nut being on the outside, but I don't see the head of the bolt on the inside, so I'm perplexed. It would seem that you'd have to bolt them and then put the carpet on the bunks, but that seems timely and a pain. I've seen others just use a screw from the outside, but yours looks different. Enlighten me please.
I like this trailer but the rollers are really unnecessary and increase the height on pulling out of water. This gave me an idea. If I used a dump/tilt trailer, a come along or smaller winch would pull the boat on the trailer with zero effort. Awesome build.
I have a 10 ft trailer and was wanting to add similar rollers. Do you get much lateral slippage while the boat is on the trailer. I was going to go 8ft of rollers and 2ft of board but was concerned about how it would ride.
I had no slippage due to being tightly fastened front and back. My only concern with 8ft rollers is how loosely it will want to roll on an incline once it is unhooked in the front. But, it would not be a huge fix if they had to be shortened.
Depends on how you intend to pull it back on the trailer. Having the carpet rails helps give some traction for stabilization. With it hooked and cranked on, should not be a problem.
Hey my friend, I noticed your motor just barely missed dragging the ground, while it was down, backing to the water and leaving the launch area. Should the lower unit drag something, it could ruin both motor and transom. Take care, oh, by the way, nice trailer!
Great project, I watched both. I am needing to do something like this. I got a little 4x8 I never use so gonna try and adapt it as well. I bought the exact same boat last week, had a 8.5' bass tender years ago and got the 10e this time. Do you still have and enjoy yours ?? I worked my way up to the crazy Ranger bass boats and now that I am getting back into fishing, I just want to pan fish and have such fond memories of the small and easy to use boat, that i decided that is what I wanted again ...
Mine hung out a foot in front and the back. It would hang out 3 feet in the back on yours. Adding the pipe lights made mine work. I can’t speak for the stability of having that much boat hanging out, but in theory, having pipe lights and the boat fastened down might work on a 6 ft trailer. I would test it on the trailer as is before modifying the trailer
One last question, I’ve watched your video dozens of times but I can’t tell for sure. Looks like you used two carriage bolts per board at the very rear and what seems like another two per board a foot or so from the front edge. Is that correct? No others through the middle supports?
I honestly don’t remember. I’m not seeing any others either. I don’t think it is necessary, but adding them another row as close to center as possible could not hurt.
Hi Bill, I’m having trouble with it vapor locking when it gets warm. It does ok until then. I’m hoping to solve the issue by adjusting the air to gas screw. Been busy working on a new project boat.
Excellent job! I’m in process of tricking out my Pelican Bass Raider and you’ve given me some great ideas. Thanks for sharing. Do you still fish out of this boat?
Billof Rights I suspected that as I saw your videos on the restoration. My friend, you have some serious skills! I’m 71 years old now and I have a Tracker 17’ bass boat. It’s great for two guys fishing but I’m getting my Pelican ready to fish solo. The way you load is exactly like I did with a 15’ jon boat although I’d go a little deeper into the water and it would just float right off. All I had to do was grab the rope and pull it to the bank and go park the truck and trailer. I’d love to have that boat back as I absolutely loved it and spent countless hours in it fishing lily pads. The Tracker is doable solo but not fun. Did you like the Raider for the time you had it? Was it stable?
Slides too easy, but I can get the trailer more in the water. I wish the rollers were about a foot or two shorter and the carpet bunks longer, but it works good enough on both applications.
Nicely done sir. You should look into the permanently mounted retractable ratchet straps. They bolt on. You pull them out and hook them to the boat. Then crank them down. When you are done you release them and they retract back in. Love mine.
The best trailer set up I've seen for a Harbor Freight trailer for a Bass Raider Pelican boat.
Thank you
So logically sound in both the trailer and bass boat adaptions made. Very nice.
Agreed.
Man you knocked it out the park on that trailer . Fine craftsmanship.
Thank you

Hi Tony, I leave the battery in the boat. The rollers aid in the reload quite well on low slanted ramps.
Best setup I've seen.
Another great video. Great idea about raising the tail lights, I have been bending my licence plate on my 1 ton tilt bed Harbor Freight trailer, it will also keep them out of the water.
Looks like it's working like a charm. Have lots of fun with it Mark!
Thank you. I'm looking forward to many fun trips.
Don't forget the camera. We like coming along too!
Yep, I'm trying to setup a good viewing system. Should be in place by my next trip. Thanks.
Used my cell phone on the last trip. Needless to say, there was no video due to loosing the phone in the lake.
Great video!! I love the design concept. The rollers are a great idea. I have to utilize that idea. Keep up the great work.
cool little trailer! I carry my Pelican 10e in the back of my truck because I pull a Rv. The rollers are a good idea.
Thanks Byron
Thanks for your reply.I just purchased a used trailer and have adapted it to my Bass Raider Thanks again!
Great job Mark..Your a craftsman. Hope you enjoy your new fishing set up..Goe Catchem....
Thanks walldog, it was another fun project. You can bet I'll be going after em.
Great job Mark..That trailer is perfect for that boat of yours...I will be looking forward for vid's from out in the boat...
Caught one and lost one at least 3 pounds at the boat. Had a blast fishing from it. Thanks Mike.
Well done! I still have the other video but couldn't send it to you. See you soon.
Found out that Claremore now has 3 ramps. We will have full access to the lake.
I lost a bass that was at least 3lbs at the boat.
Even a short fight gets your heart pumping. There will always be others.
Thanks much for your insight

I honestly don’t remember. I likely went to the trouble to bolt and cover, but I bet using big hex head screws from underneath would suffice.
You're the man, now think about a hand crank winch to pull it on up don't break your back.
It actually had a hand crank wench. If I still had the boat, I would have installed an electric wench. Thanks
That is awesome!!
Nice setup you have there sir.
Isaiah Hurtado - Thanks Isaiah

Totally sweet rig! Kudos sir!
Thanks very much Monty
Monty Craig how much did the trailer only cost
How did you attach your front stablizing boards? I don't see any hardware..Are they screwed in from the bottom?
I honestly don’t remember. I’m guessing from underneath with 3” screws.
Where did you buy trailer? What is outside dimension at fenders?,
It was a standard 4x8 trailer. I don’t have it to measure it
Thats awsome!! I like that roller system..
Where did you get the rollers
I like the way your trailer is set up but I was wondering?would there be any problems with one set of rollers extended to the back of my trailer?
Depends on how you intend to pull it back on the trailer. Having the carpet rails helps give some traction for stabilization. With it hooked and cranked on, should not be a problem.

Never had any issues when I had it. Sold it years ago to fund other projects, thanks
Nice job bud. Looks great
Thanks Chuck
What is the speed rating for the wheels on the trailer?
I couldn’t tell you. I never considered it at the time, and I sold it years ago. Thanks for watching
Nice set up----How much play from rail to boat did you allow when you installed your bunk brackets?
About 2” each side, thanks
@@borfishing7690 Is the 2" allowance to install the board or is the 2" between board edge and hull?
I just measured the width of the hull and allowed 2” each side
Is this a motorcycle trailer? I need one like this, my back hurts trying to load it to my Nissan Frontier.
Typical 4x8 trailer
Very Cool 😎 Nicely Done My Friend
Thanks Elstan.
Nice build
Thanks

Hi Doug, I ended up selling mine to fund my boat project. I had a great day in it when there was no wind. Good luck with your 10E, thanks for watching
I have a 4x6 utility trailer, do you think a bass raider could be made to fit on it?
I don’t see how you can get the tail lights extended to the rear of the boat. Maybe if you can fix away to mount them above the boat.
Billof Rights
Not sure I understand, so you’re saying that since it’s only 6’ the back of the boat would sit too far back from the trailer lights?
Mine hung out a foot in front and the back. It would hang out 3 feet in the back on yours. Adding the pipe lights made mine work. I can’t speak for the stability of having that much boat hanging out, but in theory, having pipe lights and the boat fastened down might work on a 6 ft trailer.
I would test it on the trailer as is before modifying the trailer
I was hoping for him to back the whole trailer
Would you happen to have the specs on the mini frame of the trailer?
What specs would you like? The dimensions are 4x8.
One last question, I’ve watched your video dozens of times but I can’t tell for sure. Looks like you used two carriage bolts per board at the very rear and what seems like another two per board a foot or so from the front edge. Is that correct? No others through the middle supports?

How did you put a hookup on the bow where the trolling motor sits? Thanks
I️ drilled for an eye bolt. I️ take the bolt out before hooking on the trolling motor.
pretty slick. Nice job
Thanks Rodney
Pretty cool. Thanks for sharing
Thanks Ralph.
Did you launch at clamore lake
max anx - Yes, Claremore now has 3 ramps. This ramp is a small gravel ramp.
Do you have a problem with the rollers denting or warping the toons
I’ve seen no issues.
What are the dimensions on the angle brackets you used?
I wish I could tell you. I sold the boat and trailer last week. Next time I’m at HD I will find them and report their size. Thanks
How is that little outboard working out for you?
Hi Bill, I’m having trouble with it vapor locking when it gets warm. It does ok until then. I’m hoping to solve the issue by adjusting the air to gas screw. Been busy working on a new project boat.
Where did you get those rollers
You can find a link to them in my description. Thanks
Excellent job! I’m in process of tricking out my Pelican Bass Raider and you’ve given me some great ideas. Thanks for sharing. Do you still fish out of this boat?
I ended up selling the pelican to fund my jon boat restore and modification series. Thanks for watching

Is that claremore lake
Yes. It has a small boat/kayak gravel ramp on the north end of the lake.
Roller system??

What size boards did you use?
2x10x 8ft long
Billof Rights
Thank you !
Pretty Sweet DUDE!!
Thank you
Nice job 👍👍👈
Thanks Cory
Where did you find those rollers?
Hi Ken, I have them linked in the description. Thanks
Awesome! Thanks!
How much was the outboard motor?
I paid 275.00 at the time. Thanks for watching Nick
I want one asap. How much ?
You’ll have to build it yourself. That was a one time project. Thanks
WHAT MOTOR IS THAT YOU HAVE
Hangkai 3.5
Sweet trailer. Really nice. How long did it take to modify that guy? Fish on!
Had to wait for parts as it went along, but the labor went fast.
Really nice work on that. Have you tried using it at a lake with a dock? If so, does the Pelican slide off into the water well with that setup?
Slides too easy, but I can get the trailer more in the water. I wish the rollers were about a foot or two shorter and the carpet bunks longer, but it works good enough on both applications.
Maybe it's just me, why bother with a winch if you are going to use a rope to pull it onto the trailer?
Different ramps, different way of doing it. You were watching on a flatter ramp.
he must be scared to get his truck wet
Not sure how you are figuring that. I’m only trying not to get myself wet. Thanks for watching.

Aaron Nelson - hey, I just noticed you made a fish. Thanks Aaron.
