Just put 1 anchor in the middle works like a charm…I would put the trolling motor in the front. If you fish standing like me I put a deck over the entire boat with 3 cavities for storage in the middle.
Great job on the boat and a good video description. I have this boat and will be doing a simular video soon. This video has me all excited about getting mine setup. Thanks for posting.
Around 3mph. The pounds of thrust doesn't necessarily mean how fast you'll go, the pitch of the prop, and how many blades, determines that. The benefit of a 50# vs a 30# motor, is you'll get more life out of a battery with the bigger motor, as you'll be able to use it on a lower setting, thus using less power. If you really want to extend your runtime, get a digital (maximizer) trolling motor.
How high do you sit in that front seat? I bought a smaller platform like the one on the back seat, but the weather hasn't permitted me to get my new boat out yet. Since I fish alone, I cut some 3/4 inch plywood and made a 28" x 20" platform to put in front of my seat and it seems that might be a good addition for you, except you may have to go 28 x 14 since you can't back your seat up due to your backseater. Anyhow, just a thought.
How many square footage of the soft linking mats did you purchase for your bass raider to make it fit the platform interior? Or hope much is required? I'm looking at some right now. Thanks! Great vid!
Just my opinion I have the same boat and did my floor the same but it's not a all day kind of boat. Just my opinion 2 poles tackle net and a pfd is all you need
JackOfAllTrades awesome what is the Name of the boat? Im sure you said name of boat in video.. For $500 I'd rather have that than a kayak bout same price but seems like that is lot more room
blue widow Look up "Sun Dolphin 8.5 sportsman boat". Look up Pelican 10e. Look up Field & Stream Angler 8. All of those are basically the same. The video isn't mine. I'm only replying to your questions:)
Y'all moving not fishing dang. To each his own but I could not enjoy a day fishing on that boat. Wayyy to much mess. 4 hours loading and unloading and an hour to fish... with stuff all in the way. Great job it's neat and all but just seems to much.
Slow and jerky video. Explanation, not the camera. Not really a customize unless you count taping rod holders in place. A better title would be "putting stuff in my boat"
I really like how methodical you are about this video from beginning to end. Great job!
You are so organized. Great Video. I hope to get a similar boat in the near future. I'll use some of your great ideas. Thanks for sharing.

Love it , simple. But where is the battery for the trolling motor?
Very nice job👍👍Thanks
I have decided to make a comment
" At this time "
Nice job sir !
It was at that time I saw this comment and agreed
Great job on the boat and a good video description. I have this boat and will be doing a simular video soon. This video has me all excited about getting mine setup. Thanks for posting.
thanks for the comment
I HAVE REALLY ENJOYED DO THIS. I HAVE ANOTHER VIDEO WHERE I ADDED SOME MORE ADD ONS. I WILL BE DOING IT TOMM.
Great video, great ideas for stocking boat up for a day out on the lake or river!!
I bought the same boat last summer, haven't done any mods as of yet, love the flooring and will be my first mod
Flooring makes a difference in a pelican boat.
where is the trolling motor battery? Great ideas!
First aid kit and loving your set up!
I didn't hear you mention the battery for the trolling motor.
Pretty simple but pretty practical
no battery?????....hahaha....that would help....nice video and they are great boats...I have the 8.5 footer....tight lines
The battery is too stinking heavy, I kinda forgot HAHA. It goes right in-front of the trolling motors.
I just bought an 8' Pelican boat last night for a 100 bucks but it has no seats so that will be my 1st project
Great video it would seem those boats that size one person and their gear would be ok but two people and all that gear would be crowded to me
No shit this guys an idiot
You forgot the battery & battery box. I would put it in the front, to level out the load, like I did with my 14 foot flat backed canoe.
I love this guy.
I would like to see it on the water, thanks for posting
going out in two weeks. I will try to get ready. Thanks for comments..
Fishing Almanac did you ever make a video on the water yet?
No not yet-----I will in about 2 weeks
good thinking good luck on your fishing
thank you
Nice set up sir
Nice only 1? I have is where do you keep the battery and how do you run your wires sorry 2? But overall good demo.
I would be interested in knowing approximately how fast the 50 lb thrust would carry two people in the water on a relatively smooth surface?
I have a similar boat with a 30lb. you can basically go all day. I took it home to recharge it barely made a dent.
70mph lol. 3mph maybe
Around 3mph.

Wheres the battery for the trolling motor?
Are those Berkeley rod holders just cut down to size?

how did you make the milk crate table rod holder? I have many milk crates
cut one in half than zip tied to act as a lid?
Does that floor padding rot?, Also is it as steady as a wood floor?
Dang bro.
at this time. at this time.lol./ thanks for the video
About all I would add is a short pool noodle on each fishing rod, cause ya never know.....
Hello... I also have a pelican but I was wondering if we can actually paint these plastic boats 🤔
I don't think so.
Lo
I'm about to buy one. Thought about spray painting camo.
How many square footage of the soft linking mats did you purchase for your bass raider to make it fit the platform interior? Or hope much is required? I'm looking at some right now. Thanks! Great vid!
I bought from lowes a packet of locking pads for about 10.00.
I think I got 2 packets.
Just my opinion I have the same boat and did my floor the same but it's not a all day kind of boat. Just my opinion 2 poles tackle net and a pfd is all you need
Do you mean Academy Sports??
cool mods, it is a shame though that you have to explain the anchors to hold in the wind, but you know someone just doesn't get it.
Yeah where’s the trolling battery
How much would that setup cost me? Everything you got there besides fishing rods n stuff
I would without the boat around 50.00.
The boat is around $500, plus whatever the guy has tied up in the rest.
JackOfAllTrades awesome what is the Name of the boat? Im sure you said name of boat in video.. For $500 I'd rather have that than a kayak bout same price but seems like that is lot more room

Need something to power that trolling motor not much room left
I’m not sure what to think at this time lol
Out of all the videos I have watched on this style of boat no one has showed what to do with the battery
that guy again almost every video I have seen shows what to do with the battery. They often discuss the idea of making sure you bring two batteries.
hey..u didn''t explaine about your battiers
Where is the battery?
Hi✋ are those mats water proof 😚🤔
yes
missing the battery
Just subscribe to you and hit that bell
Forgot the battery.
If I had to do a shot each time he said "At that/this time" I would be drunk.
lucky_x16 NNOOOOO SHIT😂😂😂
Those seats are way to high. That boat will tip easy now.
Justin you’ve obviously never been in a bass raider
Yall need a bigger boat. Just saying.
Y'all moving not fishing dang. To each his own but I could not enjoy a day fishing on that boat. Wayyy to much mess. 4 hours loading and unloading and an hour to fish... with stuff all in the way. Great job it's neat and all but just seems to much.
No ice chest
What a mess, your first boat I take it???
i bet you 50 cents you have not been on the water yet with all that stuff...
Slow and jerky video. Explanation, not the camera. Not really a customize unless you count taping rod holders in place. A better title would be "putting stuff in my boat"
God I am bored
For the love of god please rehearse and expand your vocabulary, seriously was this video made by a 12 yr old?
