Nice work I can definitely see that it's time consuming not something that happens overnight certainly do appreciate you taking the time to make a video of it hopefully you will be able to get in tight places and catch fish that's the idea right good luck
That's quite a project.... but you've got a custom trailer.....You did such a good job that you might have a few people calling and wanting for you to make one for them....LOL!!
Nice looking job. You made a lot of good decisions. The most recent trailer I saw that was assembled was $1050. There were no bunk boards guides on the new one either. My son built one similar to yours for a utiltiy trailer and he told me he spent a lot more than 3 hours on assembly. He got ir 7 or so years ago and its still sturdy.
Thanks man for stopping by, yeah after I had already done it I thought about that Usually how it goes lol, but its been a great versatile trailer ... I haul my mower , boat , kayaks , and our bikes around with it ... also used it to haul some furniture Comes in handy 😎

Man, awesome work. Since the length of the boat is 10ft I though getting an 8ft trailer would not be enough, but this is a great design. Thanks for sharing!
I never knew you could buy a trailer to put together yourself. Looks like a nice trailer. You did a great job making it work for your Pelican. $560 total build is not bad.
Great job man and thanks for the hints and tips. Can you ride down the road with the boat seat in place or do you have to put them in the truck bed? Looks like the would blow out.
Just bought a 1983 Ranger 335-V and I'm going to spend the winter restoring and overhauling it. I've never done a project like this before, so I'm glad to see other people doing the same sort of stuff...it helps relieve the stress. I've also got an unrelated question for you...now that we've hit the fall transition, how good is the bass fishing at the Saltvile Wellfields? I fish there a lot but it's always been for carp.
Thanks for watching much appreciated 👍, there use to be some nice Largemouth fishing there but these last few years I haven't seen or caught much Alot of people say the bass were decimated due to over fishing and those that were keeping and eating them I've been trying the river more lately
@@FishingWithBIGD Thanks for the info. I've lived in Richlands (about an hour and some change from Saltville) my whole life but I've just started fishing the well fields this year. I spend most of my time at Big Tumbling chasing smallies.
Thanks man I hope to get some fishing in soon on this setup - Just got notification from the state that my License is on the way - hope to get some great fall fishing in
Are you unloading boat from a boat ramp or carrying to the water? I want to do this build I have the same boat but I want to be able to back it in the water. I would have to figure out a way to put a winch on the front. Also do you think a 30lb minn Kota would be able to get it back on the trailer enough to get it out of the water. Where I fish the ramps are always busy and you have to rush loading and unloading.
Hello and thanks for watching much appreciated, I back up and slide mine off I dont like to back into the water im afraid my tail lights will ruin And I use my trailer to haul my mowers around also
Thanks man appreciate it, hoping to release a stringer of some new content very soon ... my apologies as 2020 has just plain out sucked , with the shutdowns and no school , and mandatory overtime. I've almost forgot what the water looks like and might need video editing re training 😅 💯👍🏻
Hello and thanks for watching much appreciated 👍, I used exterior deck screws 3" or 4" long on the side rails But if talking about qhere the rail post sit inside the post holders on the trailer ? I used a longer carrier bolt i think it was the same size , I just pre drilled through The post holder and the 2x4 and ran the bolt threw and but a lockout with nylon bushing on the other side to hold it Or you could simply run a screw in each one with a large cheese head to hold also ....
I love the build, I like to try it for myself! As you said it will take some work to get the trailer together. thanks for the video.
@Aquatogo1 thanks for watching much appreciated, glad I could help
So much for golfing it. You can slice it at the hinge do it still folds unless you’re leaving it whole.
Yes you can split it at the center and it should still fold just fine for storage

Thank you very much! I appreciate it
Was wondering how does this 10e hold up In the river i was thinking about buying one I’m 400lbs wasn’t for sure it would be sturdy enough for me
It does great in lakes but I haven't used it in rivers yet , I dont think the hul would do good it it was dragging rocks or hit one while in a river
