    It really does not matter if Thamizh is the oldest language or not.
    What does matters is that Thamizh is a living language, continually evolving to meet the World as the World reinvents itself.
    Thank you for pronouncing it as "Thamizh" and not "Tamil".

    Architecture= Arasu + Thechchan = ( அரசின்+ தச்சர்)
    Pantheons of Greece ( Pandiyan in Greece)
    Tamil word depicting a village Kaamam later becomes Kramam= Gramam= and Gam = finally Ham. Examples. Birmingham, Nottingham, Ashburnham etc etc .
    Similarly Shire word is originally a Tamil word called Cheyri or Sheyri. Meaning a place for trading assembly. Where people assembled for various reasons. A town. Later expanded into Cities. In Kerala and Tamilnadu plenty of Cheyries can be seen. Ex Pondicherry, Mattanchery, etc with same meaning.
    Dig out we can get thousands of connections how Britishers are nothing but Indians especially from South.
    Now why is there such astounding number of connections showing Tamil language seepage into English directly .
    Because Tamils were great sea farers. Kadalodigal ( கடலோடிகள்) (Or the same Catalonians of Spain 😮 )
    Just the tip of the iceberg 😂

    Tamils are proud of Tamil as they can say that it is our mother tongue obsession but a native English speaker [Walter William Skeet] has recorded this so much as a linguist.W.W Skeat in the Etymological dictionary of the English language noted that 12,960 words out of 14286 came from Tamil.

    Kanyakumari is once called as Ayuta Which is a district Of Tamil Nadu, located Southern most end of India .which was once ruled by a king under Pandiya daynasity who were the strongest rulers of Tamil Nadu and spreaded all over the world as well, The ruler who roled Kanyakumari under Pandiya dynasty Married her daughter Princess of Kanyakumari to the Prince from Korea, There are still some historical witness that a princess from Ayuta has a brown skin tone and came by a ship flagged with a fish emblem on it (which was the symbol of Pandiyas) and packed with wealth and golds and servents to serve on the way, Still now some Hindu gods are worshipped by Peoples of Korea... thought the title was with the other people officially At least I'm happy still some Tamil family and Korean relatives Still recognise the bonding.

    Sanskrit must be around 4,200-5,000 years old, while Tamil is probably 3,000-3,500 years old. Sanskrit inscriptions in northern Syria dating back 3,800 years ago. The oldest Tamil inscription found in Keeladi is 2,300-2,600 years old. The oldest Tamil inscription finding is Keeladi, which is 2,600 years old. We only find primitive basic language, so we can assume which is the formation of the Tamil language. In the 4,000-year-old Rigveda, we see a very high level of language, writing, and sophisticated thoughts, even better than 1,500 years before Plato or Aristotle. Thus, the language was not formed during that time; it is not the first form of Sanskrit. Instead, it represents a more advanced form of Sanskrit. The Rigveda also mentions geography and rivers from that time frame, including the Saraswati River in its full form, which dried up over 4,000 years ago. The oldest Tamil inscriptions found in Keeladi are dated 2,400-2,600 years old. The oldest Sanskrit inscription found in northern Syria is dated 3,700 years old. The oldest Tamil literature, Tholkappiyam, is dated 2,350 years old. The oldest Sanskrit literature, Rigveda, is dated 3,500-4,000 years old. Even the oldest Tamil work, the Tholkappiyam (2,350 years old), contains words from Sanskrit.

    It's very illlogical to claim any language to be oldest/oldest living language
    Let’s take two languages X and Y at time t0. Then at a later date through times t1-t5, we will have Xt1, Xt2, Xt3, Xt4 and Xt5 similarly, Yt1, Yt2, Yt3, Yt4 and Yt5. Now, which of these is oldest? Most would answer Xt0 and Yt0. But, in fact none exists other than Xt5 and Yt5. Since, languages are primarily spoken they don't exist beyond the point of utterance. Assume now, we have written records left for each of these, viz., Xt3, Xt4 and Xt5 but Yt4, and Yt5. Which of these is oldest? People would quip with Xt3. In fact, Xt3 wouldn't have come into existence without Xt0, Xt1, Xt2. Hence we should say Xt3 and Yt4 were the earliest recorded stages of X and Y but not the oldest representations of X and Y. Logically, Xt5 and Yt5 are the continuities of Xt0 and Yt0 through ages. Neither of X and Y is older than the other. Ofcourse! It's lot more complex than this. The closeness between X0 and X3 could be higher than the closeness between Y0 and Y1. It gets even more complex. X0 not only creates X1 in T1, but also X1-1,X1-2 and so on,in the same T.X1-2 then to X2-2--1,X2-2--2etc.... Then X2-2--2 to X2-2--2---1,X2-2--2---2 etc.... So does Y0. You can call them different languages or different dialects. It's subjective. Things don't end here. X3-3--3---4 might influence X3-3--1---2 to create a new language (X3-3--3---4)(X3-3--1---2). But whether this newly created language be given an independent language status is subjective. It depends on the magnitude of influence. Just like there's magnitude of influence, there's magnitude of mutation too to pave the way for more vagueness.(Plot twist: The language X0 was P5-6--9---2----7-----12 and Y0 was P5-2--4---2----7-----1). Now I'd like to know which one is the oldest living language.

    What is Hinduism?
    +++++++++++++++
    I have long pondered on what constitutes this so called religion that is sitting on the head of my Tamizh people and have come up with some conclusions ....
    The priest from the Zoroastrian religion came to india with their Avestan language and fire rituals and later created some slogans in old Sanskrit to form the Vedas which was never written down.
    These priest learnt the principles of the Samana tradition that originated in the southern part of the sub continent namely in the Tamizh tradition and started incorporating it into their already existent vaiteegam rituals and produced the Upanishads and became vegetarians.
    For a solid philosophical footing which they needed in a highly philosophical Tamizh infused land about the 8th century Adi Sankara came up with Advaita logic that distorted the original Buddhist thoughts and produced a dichotomical nonsense which did not last the test of time.
    Later they took up the Tantric Samana Tamizh tradition and put forth the bakti religiosity. This they took also from the Christian tradition and desperately created for the Islamic onslaught. Bakti was based on erotism and appealed to the masses. The high Samana tantric philosophical basis was ruined for the newly conjectured 'Hindu' religion of the wretched puranic tales.
    This is the history of the Priestly class(Brahmins) that still retain their priesthood in the agamic temples that held sway through the bakti movement from the 10th century onwards. The consecutive non-Tamizh rulers firmly rooted the new found 'Hindu' religion with its caste system( the four varnas) that the British gave the final seal to....

      @@payilagampodcast you said 'old mesopotamian has no contact with semitian languages' which is false. (and BTW, it is semetic nor semetian) Akkadian the 2nd oldest mesopotamian language itself was semetic. so was assyrian, and babylonian (neo-mesopotamian). Hebrew and arabic are off-shoots of these older groups. FYI: The semetic groups moved into mesopotamia and took power, and that is how sumerian declined.
