I cried when Mitch started. He’s a literal angel. Kirstin was killing the notes and showing so much emotion.
They took a oscar-winning-song and took it 3 levels up. Who Else can Do this? And as always: Mitch.. What can I say, that wasn't said before? He always blows me away.
Kirstin killed it! She has grown so much! Her voice is so strong and powerful! I'm so proud!
Mitch with those 'whoa oh oh's' oooh ahhh's' while the background builds just sent chills all over my body and I started crying too. There is no one in this world like them. As usual, of all the covers and even the original, this is my FAV!
This is the ONLY version of this song that brought tears to my eyes😭
what a brilliant choice to add the cello and delay the beatboxing to the 2nd half. Their musical choices are always brilliant and must come from a place where the world of the mind and logic meets the world of emotions and passion. Simply Stunning. Rob, you need stop making everyone cry !

There's just something so much more powerful about two people who have known each other almost their whole lives singing this song to each other than two movie actors doing the same. Gaga and Bradley could NEVER duplicate this emotion.
Thanks for reacting to this, Rob. Your face is so expressive and mirrors the music so well. Is there any song that isn't immediately made better by adding KO and his cello? He has never been better and his masterful play really sets the mood here. It evokes memories of "Dancing on My Own" and the black and white setting reminds me so much of "Say Something", another heart breaker. This song was made for Scott and Kirstie and they kill it, but the real surprise is Mitch. His ethereal riffs in the background floating over the main theme are just..I dunno, words fail me at this point.
Another great reaction, Rob! The vibe here is almost as if this was an American art song because of Kevin’s cello playing! And can we just talk about Kirstie here a moment? She just KILLED this cover! I LOVE how she’s belting so well now! I, viewing her as a professional musician, feel she has grown the most of all PTX. Don’t get me wrong; EVERYONE is superlative! I just feel that Kirstie was subordinate to the others in the beginning; now she’s on an equal plane in the Trio as Mitch and Scott who have been great from the get-go. I think the stint in “Kinky Boots” really did Kirstin enormous good in building her vocal prowess. Again, thanks, Rob, for a superlative reaction! I can’t wait for July 3rd!
Before PTX covered this, I'd never heard the song (heard OF it, of course), and have never seen the movie. Honestly, this is the only version I need. I'm obsessed now. As soon as I heard it, I immediately thought "I can't wait for Rob's reaction to this!"
Always know it's great when Rob gets emotional so precious.💛 🥰 The vibrato in Kirstin's voice on this was a thing of beauty. I really loved the song and the gold accents with the black and white film were perfect!

What I love about pentatonix is that they can take the must simple and everyday song that may not mean much to anyone(not shallow) and make you feel something.i get to see them in concert next Saturday with my husband and it’s our first time seeing them and we’re so excited!! I’ve been waiting for you to react to this!! You and Phil are 2 of my favorites because your reactions are always so genuine!!!!

Pretty much my reaction hands down. They are sooooo good. Mitch killed the "Gaga" part! I loved it so much
I scanned all the comments, and have agreed with the vast majority. No doubt that Kirstie"s lead vocals and the uplifting, wafting tones that Mitch puts forth are, by themselves, enough reasons to suggest that this "cover" (we all know it is an UPGRADE) is legitimate. But how can anyone reviewing this "masterpiece" neglect to comment most positively on how amazing Scott's dual lead vocal was throughout the song. He and Kirstin were pure magic together!!!

That's so me after listening to a beautiful, but sad song. I haven't heard of Pentatonix before, but this was really a beautiful and very touching performance. I'm darn sure that Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper are a fan of this version.

A beautiful arrangement indeed. As usual, the harmonies, bass and vocal percussion creating that full sound. Then there's Kevin's cello Beyoncé coming through with that stirring counter-melody. 🎻🎵🎶

Wonderful! Like you, I thought I had heard this song enough. Although beautiful, it is unique in its lyrics that can be hard to hear over and over, especially if the person(s) singing is/are not emotionally invested. This is the only, the absolute ONLY cover, that completely makes this song "sing". Bravo!

Rob! I saw PTX on a VIP ticket at the Tacoma Dome on July 3rd! It was sooo wonderful meeting them personally-and I was able to give them the song I wrote for them! Scott and Kirstie promised to listen to my music! They did this live and Kirstie KILLED it! And of course, so did Scott! All these lovely people are so exceptional! Wish I could know them...

I like this better than the Lady Gaga and , maybe because this was the first version a hear, but I love the voice fo Scott, Krsintin sing this song with so much emotion, and Micth is always great, and Kevin playing the celllo at the same time that he is making sound with his voice, he is so talent,

Two things. Number one is that 95% (and that number is probably higher) of PTX covers are better than the originals and this is no exception. Number two is that even though I know better there was a part of me that thought that Kirstie and Scott were going to start making out during the video. (And yes I did see the behind the scenes footage of the making of the this video and saw that Kirstie and Scott did act like they were going in for a kiss at one point. But I thought this when I first saw the video.)

As fabulous as they are, the sound is far too clean and artificial sounding. Doesn’t hold a candle to the grit and emotion the original song gives, for me anyways :). Great reaction as always!
Yes, perfection without emotion or grit. Not to be rude but there's a reason someone like Lady Gaga is a superstar and Pentatonix is not. I still love Pentatonix for what they are thought.

If you are looking for the exact same experience of the original, just watch the original. Why do you keep (as ever) putting yourself through a process that you already know the outcome. And then HAVE to tell the rest of us about your bad experience???? The definition of insane is to repeat behavior that is detrimental to your well being. Break the chain.
