I feel like the video is symbolic for the band's journey so far. They started off sat on a sofa, then they got moving a bit, they got on the road and started touring, Mitch became a proper rockstar, their career set off like a shooting star, but they're still the same people they were when they started off on that couch all those years ago.
Ms. Moonchild -- Completely in agreement about the PTX journey and your comments about how they are summed up in this incredible, incandescent video. I preferred Kirstie when she wasn't so goth, but the song ain't perky or sassy, so, as usual, she's in character with the voice of the narrator: "Nothing really matters to me..."
On IG they said it took 6hrs to arrange and 10hrs to film. They also give the significance of the moving couch - symbolising their journey and touring craziness
A PTX video release isn't truly complete in my household until we watch you react to it! We nod along, laugh, smile, and tear up right along with you. Thanks Rob!
Loved your face at Mitch's sly smile at 2:30--and your "come on!" when he flopped on the couch and played dead for two seconds, with his mourners walking along down the street--Kevin and Avi even had a hand on the couch, like pallbearers.
I loved your reaction! You did close your mouth when Mitch threw himself down on the couch declaring, "Too Late, my time has come". LOL. Now THAT was a moment!
Jessica King: That is my 2nd favorite part. The whole concept and collective talent of all that is Pentatonix is my favorite. Next is when it looks as though Avi is tripping as he is throwing himself over the couch right before the flashlight flashback. Priceless!
This has to be my favorite PTX performance. They not only did outstanding justice to this classic, but the sheer creativity involved in executing the video is genius.
I think this could be their next GRAMMY just because of instrumental part of the song they did with their voices. Mitch own this song and Kevin standout too ,but they all was great.
Rob, your reactions are priceless. I watch you intently because their voices hit you as hard as they hit me. God gave these people such gifts and then put them together so that we all could know what angels sound like. AND ... Avi and I are both from Visalia ... had to brag about that. thank you for your love of beauty and harmony in a dark dark world. I will always be a fan.
I knew it was gonna be amazing but DAMN. That song and that video are a masterpiece. I've already watched it like a million times and I shall a million more :p
Masterpiece is exactly the right term. Grammy #4. This is what Scott wrote about the video concept on his IG: "Wow. Ok. Cheesy moment...but bear with me. This Bohemian Rhapsody video has been one of the most intense and fulfilling projects of my career yet. From the 6 hours arranging session with @thebenbram and @kolusola, to a midnight choreographing/brainstorm session with @im_lindseyb, @coloredcraig, and @dano_o_ , the grueling overnight 10 hour shoot, I couldn’t be HAPPIER with how it came out. We start on a couch to pay homage to where we started and our original videos, and then we travel down the road to represent the crazy touring and journey we have been on the past 6 years. I have had an emotional 24 hours thinking about how grateful I am for the entire Pentatonix team, what we’ve been through, & how hard so many people worked to make this EP and video happen… & THANK YOU GUYS for sharing and watching and being so sweet as always. I really do love y’all and hope y’all enjoy the EP! :)"
The moving couch was, according to Scott was connecting their past and their crazy touring life. He posted a really heart felt message about the video on Instagram. Now you need to react to their brand new video.
You are one of the VERY few reactors old enough to remember when this was first released. I was 5 the year it came out, but my sister is 12 years older and was my musical mentor. I GREW UP a Queen fan (along with The Police, Heart, Fleetwood Mac, Pat Benetar, Def Leppard and the other greats in the 70's. I loved watching your face throughout this video! LOVED IT! Much Love!
I like the contrast they built across the video; it mirrors the journey of the song very well. As usual, the performance is a masterpiece, but I'm not sure why we should expect otherwise at this point. I always enjoy watching reaction videos where people don't hold back or try to act for the camera and just show their audience who they really are. Great video!
I was waiting for your reaction. I LOVE this video, so epic. I can't believe they have gotten over 12, 000 dislikes on this video. I know people love queen but come on people, they totally did this song justice.
I just discovered your channel because I was looking for reactions to Pentatonix' newest song (Bohemian Rhapsody) and just LOVE how you reacted to it. I saw your audio reaction and this one. It is all so genuine and I feel everything you reveal. Thank you so much! I have subscribed - how could I not!
Oh my gosh, Rob! I can't believe I had to wait all weekend to watch your video, but it was well worth it! Your look of amazement, smile, closed eyes, giggle, raised eyebrows.....tell it all. This was truly an amazing piece of art by Pentatonix and hopefully will continue getting the recognition and praise that it deserves! Thank you for covering it. As always, your videos are a blessing to watch! :)
Rob we love ur reactions! My kids are obsessed, as am I with ptx! My daughter is 6 and Fridays are show and tell. Yesterday for show and tell she brought in a picture of ptx and told her classmates that they were releasing their ep today and that they had to tell everyone they knew! and that when she grows up, she going to be just like her queen mitch! I was there for her easter party.... it was simply adorable!
Hi, Rob! I just watched your reaction to the Evolution of Music, and I had to smile when you asked at the end for a full version of Bohemian Rhapsody. When did you start predicting the future? You're awesome ... your reactions are so sincere and genuine. And you pick such wonderful music for your reactions LOL.
One other thing, I realized that I have to prepare myself almost more for you than Pentatonix. You can make me cry or laugh with your reactions. One of those holding it together watching them and then your eyes water and I lose it. lol
IDK IF THIS IS THE ONLY REACTOR THAT HAS SAVED THEIR REACTION. Love this channel because other keep on talking while reacting and you cant even seen the video, but if you already saw the video okay!!! OMFG LOVE THIS CHANNEL AND PTX!!
Great reaction Rob! I've been waiting for this! Do you ever have that feeling like you want to say something but it stays on the tip of your tongue because you don't want to miss the next amazing thing that's about to happen? I can relate!
I love this so much! Scott said that the couch and their movement was symbolic of their start and journey as a band (like someone else has said). Can you also react to ptx random jamming/singing on the fly? I think you'd love that
I WAITED FOR YOU ALL DAY YESTERDAY, YOU ARE ABOUT 2 MILLION BEHIND...... SO WHAT DID YOU THINK ???? I COULDNT WAIT TO SEE YOUR REACTION. THESE GUYS ARE JUST FANTASTIC. SCOTT SAID IT IN THE DOCUMENTERY,,, A MILLION PLANETS HAD TO ALINE...... DONT YOU THINK THEY DID,, AT LEAST FOR THESE GUYS THEY DID......
Wow is correct! It's funny both you and Phil couldn't close your mouths during the whole thing, and I was right there with you. Don't forget to go read Scott's instagram. He talks about the video. It made me appreciate it even more.
I loved your reaction. So engrossed in the video that it really showed you were speechless. Yes, you had your mouth opened quite a bit, but I think if most of us were honest, we'd have to say the same thing. Funny how I never liked that song with Queen, but the minute I heard it from PTX, I loved it and quite a few of their songs too, like the Sound of Silence (didn't like the original but loved it with PTX). Great reaction.
The comments on the official music video kinda made me laugh. “Director: Darn, we really need a drum set! Kevin: Hold my beer Director: We could still use a bass guitar... Avi: Hold my beer Director: that’s great, but what about the guitar solo?! Mitch: Hold my beer Director: I’m out of hands!” I know, kinda lame and often repeated, but it still makes me giggle. What can I say, there’s a 5yo still trapped in my aging body, lol.
I know they didn't have the time required on "The Sing-Off" but if they had done this for that show, the other groups would have just quit, knowing they had no chance in HELL of winning with Pentatonix in the competition. (They didn't have a chance anyway, but they would have known it.) As it is, when they did the "Let's Get It On" presentation, several of the teams knew it was over.
I feel like the video is symbolic for the band's journey so far. They started off sat on a sofa, then they got moving a bit, they got on the road and started touring, Mitch became a proper rockstar, their career set off like a shooting star, but they're still the same people they were when they started off on that couch all those years ago.

On IG they said it took 6hrs to arrange and 10hrs to film. They also give the significance of the moving couch - symbolising their journey and touring craziness
Their touring craziness is why Avi left the group.
Amazing reaction as always 😌 If they don't receive a Grammy for this I will be thoroughly shocked.
PTX Trash same
I hope they get to perform it as well :)
My family and I are blessed to have already gotten our tickets for a show in August :)
PTX Trash i will protest LOL
Mathew White I've already gone to one of their concerts that are amazing. Hope you have fun
A PTX video release isn't truly complete in my household until we watch you react to it! We nod along, laugh, smile, and tear up right along with you. Thanks Rob!
Nicole Sallee I know right
Loved your face at Mitch's sly smile at 2:30--and your "come on!" when he flopped on the couch and played dead for two seconds, with his mourners walking along down the street--Kevin and Avi even had a hand on the couch, like pallbearers.
I loved your reaction! You did close your mouth when Mitch threw himself down on the couch declaring, "Too Late, my time has come". LOL. Now THAT was a moment!
C Liles I love that part!
Jessica King: That is my 2nd favorite part. The whole concept and collective talent of all that is Pentatonix is my favorite. Next is when it looks as though Avi is tripping as he is throwing himself over the couch right before the flashlight flashback. Priceless!
My new favorite!!! ❤ Guitar Grassi!!!!
He adds a whole new meaning to the term "air guitar"!!!
Ray Hutchinson Yes!!! I love him!!! ❤
This has to be my favorite PTX performance. They not only did outstanding justice to this classic, but the sheer creativity involved in executing the video is genius.

Trina Porter trying not to sound stalkery but .... how great is it to stroll around town and accidentaly meet Avi on holiday??? 😍
nathnathnathnath You are from Visalia I take it then. Yes that would be INCREDIBLE!
I knew it was gonna be amazing but DAMN. That song and that video are a masterpiece. I've already watched it like a million times and I shall a million more :p
Don't be embarrassed.....#pentaholicPLUS :)
Chris G I can relate
Masterpiece is exactly the right term. Grammy #4.

Their video and the music was already awesome, and your reaction made it better because now I know this is awsome.
I haven't watched it yet but I am so ready to see this!
Haha, it was amazing! You looked like you wanted to say something but didn't know how throughout the whole video!
Awesome reaction, just when u think they can't blow ur mind AGAIN.
I was waiting for your reaction. I LOVE this video, so epic. I can't believe they have gotten over 12, 000 dislikes on this video. I know people love queen but come on people, they totally did this song justice.
Im so obsessed with this song and this video! 😍😍
I believe that Scott mentioned that it was a 6 hour arrangement session on an instagram post! Great reaction ❤

We have to give them credit they didn't sleep for 10 hours to film this for us sooo 😊

Scott said that the story behind the video is to show where they started and how far they have come but are still the same. Something like that.

Wow is correct! It's funny both you and Phil couldn't close your mouths during the whole thing, and I was right there with you. Don't forget to go read Scott's instagram. He talks about the video. It made me appreciate it even more.
Love it
Amazing
Blows your mind when you remember there are no instruments.
Now it's time for "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy!" Easily my favorite song from the album
Scott said it took over 8 hours to film this
It was a 10 hour shoot
I loved your reaction. So engrossed in the video that it really showed you were speechless. 3:16 Avi tickled him lmao
The comments on the official music video kinda made me laugh.
“Director: Darn, we really need a drum set!
Kevin: Hold my beer
Director: We could still use a bass guitar...
Avi: Hold my beer
Director: that’s great, but what about the guitar solo?!
Mitch: Hold my beer
Director: I’m out of hands!”
I know, kinda lame and often repeated, but it still makes me giggle. What can I say, there’s a 5yo still trapped in my aging body, lol.
You look fantastic in this reaction...not sure if song just made you so happy or lighting was different. Either way, enjoy this!!!
LOOOOVE Your reaction!!! You should head over to Instagram and read Scotts pride about the song and video and the explanation behind it
No words haha!
this guy reacting to this reminds me of Tyler Oakley.
Grammy
Your face looked exactly like mine did as I watched this video.
