When Gaga & Cooper sing it, they are two actors in a movie who barely know each other singing a very deep and emotional song to each other. Kirstie & Scott, on the other hand, are two life-long friends who are VERY close, been thru a LOT together, and even dated for a while in high school before Scott came out. Who better to convey the real emotions of these lyrics than these two? As you said, watch the way they look at each other in this video. It is SO obvious that there is a lot of REAL love in those expressions. That's something that even the best movie actors can't express realistically.

No, you are wrong. Scott and Kirstie dated in high school before he came out as gay. They still adore each other and Scott posts their old dating pictures on his instagram on her birthday. If you watch their tour stuff you will see they have no problem singing to each other on stage and giggling together backstage. You rarely see friends that comfortable together.

In one of them you actually get to go behind the scenes of this video and see that they actually shot two in the same day! For some reason I thought you had covered this a month ago. There is a behind the scenes video that shows between takes/shots Kirstin and Scott were goofing around a ton. I think it helps they have been friends for all their lives and tried dating as teens (after Kirstin broke up with Mitch but before he dated Scott) Both of them can be silly but they also know when to be serious, so that discipline kicks in too.
I just recently said on another reaction that one of the things that makes this special to me is that each of them gets showcased for what makes them unique. Kevin and Beyonce are a power couple, Matt's bass-line cannot go unnoticed, Scott is reveling in his full broody soulfulness, Mitch is dancing with angels and Kirstie reminds us yet again what a powerhouse she is. I feel like if you wanted a newcomer to understand the talent of these guys as individuals as well as a group, you could just send them this way.

This is up there near the top of my favorites list. It's so emotional and gripping. I pretty much live under a rock and had never heard the original, but I did after hearing this, and I just keep coming back to PTX's version. Kirstin's cry in her voice is so compelling, Kevin's playing is just so smooth, Scott's grit and rawness melt my heart, then Matt's insane bass rattles whatever is left! But I'll always end with my Mitchy and the flawless execution of everything he sings!

I'm sure I'm ignoring some that are other people's favorites but meh. :D "Rather Be" is similar in energy to "Sing." I'm certain you would love it. Also, "New Rules x Are You That Somebody" mashup is just a fantastic display of Kevin and Matt stealing the show in the first 20 seconds. Missing from your list: Somebody That I Used to Know Carol of the Bells Little Drummer Boy (these are the only two purely Xmas music videos I'll mention in this list) Save the World/Don't You Worry, Child Royals (Lorde cover) La La Latch Where Are Ü Now? It appears that when Kirstie and Scott make eye contact while singing they feel so intimate and connected that they experience a connection with each other that few people feel with another. I believe that through their years together they have a connection that most people long for. The neat thing is that neither feels embarrassed or threatened by the closeness they share. I believe they both treasure it. Both Kirstie and Mitch have a connection with Mitch because of their past. That connection will last for the rest of their lives. Of all of their videos where Beyoncé makes an appearance, and there are only maybe a dozen, this is by far my favorite. I love the tone and smoothness of his cello playing. I also think this is on of the better examples of his cello boxing. The rest of the group are their usual terrific selves. When I had seen this video dropped I was really taken back an amazed at how much kirstin has grown vocally especially her vibrato, it's so warm and rosey if you get what I mean. Matt's voice is very warm too but more like a fireplace and a cup of coco type warm 😂 but this is prolly one of my favs of all time as well for sure!

This version is by far the absolute best. Blows everyone else out of the water! The cello was so poignant and appropriate for this song.
The gold jewelry and fixtures showing as color against the black-and-white filming is a throwback to the posters for the movie, which were all black-and-white with the only color being the gold lettering in the words "A Star Is Born".
Wonderful reaction! This is one of a favorite songs by PTX. With Halloween and Christmas coming you should react to "Making Christmas" from "The Nightmare Before Christmas". It covers both holidays.

It appears that when Kirstie and Scott make eye contact while singing they feel so intimate and connected that they experience a connection with each other that few people feel with another. I believe that through their years together they have a connection that most people long for. The neat thing is that neither feels embarrassed or threatened by the closeness they share. I believe they both treasure it. Both Kirstie and Mitch have a connection with Mitch because of their past. That connection will last for the rest of their lives.
The other thing that you said was "Kirstie........Whoa!" I concur. Point 5 seconds is enough to be affected by her on camera.
I love when they take the cover of a song and kill the original ! They do it time after time, but this one is by far the best one over the original ❣
Did you catch the Bad Romance tune threaded through there near the end?? They did an incredible job and everything was working for her physically there, but I think she's MOST beautiful in Attention, personally. Christmas really is going to be fun. Thank You, Winter Wonderland, Silent Night, Favorite Things, and Mary, Did You Know are all worth checking out for that season. You know I'm always going to suggest Jinjer if you want to listen to other artists, starting with their Pisces live one take. Jack White is always good, you should check out The Raconteurs when he was with them, they were great!! There's so much music I love, but it's mostly out of date now lol.

Of all of their videos where Beyoncé makes an appearance, and there are only maybe a dozen, this is by far my favorite. I love the tone and smoothness of his cello playing. I also think this is on of the better examples of his cello boxing. The rest of the group are their usual terrific selves. I do like their version better than the original even though I’m a big Lady Gaga fan.
I love that PTX usually gives a nod to the original artist in their arrangements; did you catch the "Bad Romance" quote (at 5:37 of your video)?

Not 100% sure you’ll see this BUT I think you should react to The Sugababes - Caught in a moment live reload session. Their a UK group who were really big in the early 2000s. The original members are reunited and had reissued their first album as a 20th anniversary gift to the OG fans. They’re working on new material as well.
I’d love to hear them - or just Kirstie - do “I’ll Never Love Again.” I agree with the comment about this particular song being overplayed, but in 5 to 10 years, I believe we’ll be swooning again when we hear it.
Scott and Kirstin are really Great Friends. But there is a 'Special' Love between them as Friends. Go back and look, there are dozens of videos of where Scott and Kirstin give each other dozens of Extra Special 'Looks' at each other.

As far as solo works from PTX members go, I'd recommend either Kevin's cover of Down by Marian Hill, or Scott's cover of Wake me up by Avicii. Great reaction!

When I had seen this video dropped I was really taken back an amazed at how much kirstin has grown vocally especially her vibrato, it's so warm and rosey if you get what I mean. Matt's voice is very warm too but more like a fireplace and a cup of coco type warm 😂 but this is prolly one of my favs of all time as well for sure!
I know you have reacted to some of the Pentatonix videos from the Sing Off Season 3. Well in Sing Off Season 4 there were two groups that I fell in love with. Home Free, the first a capella country group (just a hint... as a general rule I don't like country, but I love these guys!) and a young Highschool group with an amazing sound, called Vocal Rush.
