Hi Greeno, I live in Central London and have neither heard of, or seen a Slim Chickens. Having said that, I'm in my seventies and don't get out as much as I used to, but after your review, if I do see one. as Gary, might say, I'll give it a go. As usual. your review was fair, but interesting enough to make me pay attention. You're right, it did seem at first glance to be quite expensive, but what to me is always important, you enjoyed every aspect of the meal, chicken, good, hot and tasty, fries, crisp, tasty and a step up on KFC., the sauces, all good and tasty. You didn't really mention the service, which maybe isn't a big surprise in a fast food joint, but the fact that your server engaged with you about the sauces, would suggest more interest than usual. All in all, it sounds as though if you were in Bournemouth, with the family, you might treat them to some chicken and chips and they might just enjoy it. Thanks mate, keep up the good work.
Hi Mark, thanks for your kind comments. It's interesting that this chain seems to have little focus on London, only a few outlets while they seem to be expanding around the country. Everything was good here, and although there was a bit of a premium to pay compared to your standard fast food outlet I think the quality made it worth it 🙂
I first saw them in a shopping outlet place in Swindon, and like yourself thought it was probably too much money for what it was. Wish I had tried it then, cos it was definitely worth it in my opinion.
You don't mind paying a premium if it's Top notch 👌 My local kebab shop do Hot Wings, granted SFC but really nice with their kebab shop salad in a burger container, 3 for under £6 with the sensational salad. I'm happy!
I've not heard of this place but it does look good. I like the occasional KFC but i know alot of people don't. We always go for the bargain bucket. Great for sharing. This place definitely looks a cut above though. Problem with me is, i would have to order at the counter as I'm clueless with all this fancy tech! Me and my hubby are dinosaurs. Shame there isn't one in Inverness. Maybe in the future. Another great review ❤
One the face of it the prices do seem steep. But compared to KFC it's a different planet... is it worth 30% more than a similar thing would cost at KFC? I would say yes.
@@timspencer3348 Agreed - it was partly about the atmosphere and the service too the waitress was really chatty, offered me the extra sauce to try as she thought I might enjoy it. You don't get that at KFC ;-)
