It shows that the dev builds are currently in Season 20, and the planning of seasons happens even further in advance on that note. So I’d be more likely to call this a coincidence

Like every Hunter, he loved goind on adventures whether it was alone or with a crew. There a web comic on the Bungie website that tells the story of how Cayde and his team managed to capture the Barons that we killed in the same expansion. He's a great character in gameplay and in the lore.
