Churches need to preach this more. Unfortunately, many churches choose to let culture dictate what parts of the Bible they preach. Thank you for being bold and preaching the truth! I’m enjoying this series, and being challenged by it at the same time.

I’d love for Grace City Rome to be our Church. We used to live in Georgia when I was stationed at Ft. Benning. I love it there. I thought about moving back when I heard you were pastoring there. If a man "serves" his wife she will grow to despise him. That's the reality of women's nature and is not biblical. A man is to serve God and do his duty, and have his wife help him. That is a biblical model and actually works.
To serve another does not mean they're the center of your universe. Yes, it is unbiblical for men to idolize their wives and marriage. That's not the point Pastor John is making.
@@mchristr men also need to serve their children, by correcting and disciplining them. Just as they need to do with their wives. But that isn't what people understand when they hear "men serve their wives".
