  • Join Pastor John Lovell as he begins a 4-part series on the biblical concept of the marriage covenant. He unearths some old wisdom from the Bible, cover-to-cover, to prove the power of this intimate, spiritual union between man, woman, and God. Once we grasp that Jesus is our ONE TRUE Soul Mate, our marriages will flourish!

Currently in the process of divorce with my wife. 7.5 years of my bs, she finally said she’s done. The best thing God gave me, and I used and abused her love. I’m praying Jesus can save me from myself, and in turn save my marriage. But if saving the marriage isn’t in the plan, I just want her happy and to have someone who treats her like John talks about.

I love how you tell it straight with no extra fancy words just to make yourself sound smarter or holier.

@@pastorjohnlovell Thank you so much! My wife and I weren’t originally Christians upon marriage. Truth be told she still sits on the edge but a couple months ago a death in the family drove me to Christianity

Starting our last month of year 29 of marriage. I love that you are doing this series right now. Year 30 is going to be our best year yet, and we’ve had some pretty good ones so far. To God be the Glory!

I think that it does make sense that God can see the beginning of our time and the end. As my theology professor says “The creator of the box cannot be bound by the box.” God is not bound by time nor can he be because he is outside of time and not bound by it because he created it. God sees each individual piece of a puzzle, and he sees the complete picture at the same time

As far as where to eat, I want to know my husband is happy with where we eat. My husband likes food more than me. I want him to be happy. I want him to give me a list of 3 or 4 places that sound good to him, so I know that no matter what I pick (cause I know he wants me to pick), he will also be happy.

I wish I had seen this years ago. Last year my marriage fell apart and we are just waiting on the court to grant the divorce in the next few days. It’s been a rough year, and I think I’m mostly healed, but I still get the feeling that I’ve failed my daughter.

With today's marriage laws and feminist society having a successful marriage is unlikely, even for those who don't divorce.

Hey John! I absolutely love hearing your sermons. I would like to note though, while I get the point of what you’re saying, I think it’s a bit too loose with your words to call God’s love reckless.

Thanks!! Context of word was to mean ‘wild and unrestrained’ and not ‘irresponsible’. I’d hoped folks would get that. Hard to bat 1000 in an hour sermon with word selection

I think the conception of oneness in marriage is a bit off. Oneness needs to encompass David being "one" with each of his wives
