Just for anyone wondering: This snake was docile, if not a little nervous. No strikes, no attempts to constrict, it just wanted to keep moving, as most reticulated pythons do.
When they brought the retic in it was in flight mode - it just wanted to get away. When they left it alone for a few seconds it was able to get into thinking mode and it calmed down.
Yep! For those that don't know this was staged! They do like to keep moving but it's not as bad as these guys made it out. Conan did a late night comedy so they wanted to "fun" it up. Notice the snake didn't actually coil anyone nor did it open it's mouth.

Growing up having Steve Irwin it just made sense there was a guy this cool and he had a show and he was badass. Only later after I got old and he died that I realized oh nobody on earth was or will be steve Irwin. There was just something about him.
It's great how first the crowd laughs at his energy, then he starts to tell the most amazing story and everyone goes quiet. Rip Steve, you would be proud of what Robert is doing now :')
