I have been saying this to other activists in the ACDP opposed to this evil bill, and citizens in general, that this is about facing out Afrikaans! By the way, I'm a black African. Facing out Afrikaans, means facing out the speakers of Afrikaans in the previous model C schools. We've been witnessing this taking place in the country including where my children attend. The department and SADTU, have been engaging in appointing black principals and educators, with a clear agenda of systematically removing white educators including principals, and replacing them with incompetent ANC political appointees to the detriment of the schools. We had a former model C school in the Vaal close down completely because of gross mismanagement after white educators were purged out of the school. After the work well done of the destruction of the school, the deputy principal was appointed as the new principal in another Afrikaans school, can you see the agenda? The way we see it, the ultimate goal of the agenda is to bring the previous model C schools, to the level of the township schools which are fully run and controlled by SADTU and it's alliance partners the ANC and the SACP and the department of education. Ironically, these political appointees and SADTU comrades, are all with few exceptions, sending their children to guess where, in white schools, whilst fighting "against those resistant to change" The hypocrisy of these communists is beyond comprehension!!! Black parents are sending their children to schools in town because they want the best education for their children period! If all parents could afford it in the township, they'd all do it without exception! So, we're not just opposed to the communist bill, we're against its ultimate agenda, which is the communist control and manipulation of the minds of our children!!! Today it is to our benefit but we were schooled in our mother tongue which made the learning of everthing else much easier, and that is the part you haven't caught up with yet. I'm a grade 12 student who goes to a English/ Afrikaans school. I wish you could see how well we get along we share the same meals , we share the same laughs and cries. So from my understanding i dont think the government should abolish Afrikaans exclusive schools but rather encourage Afrikaans schools to make space for English so we can enjoy a lovely meal together as South Africans 🇿🇦❤️

For example, China does not need to train their pilots in English for them to become world class pilots. Yet the same people are not talking about the 2500 teachers losing their jobs in the Western Cape. This has been spring on us. The heads of department are mostly out of touch with the different schools. They expect what works for one would work for another and that is never the case. Many coloured kids go to Afrikaner schools because they speak Afrikaans. My friends were at Afrikaner schools as early as 1993.

I think it's ludicrous that the government would seek to remove one of only two of South Africa's eleven official languages, which features abstract constructs. Given its roots in Dutch, Flemish and German, Afrikaans is far more evolved than 81% of the official languages in South Africa. Language informs culture - so this decision will further devolve South Africa.
Firstly, I don’t believe the government is trying to remove Afrikaans. Too many people speak Afrikaans as their home language. It all depends on the area a school is in. Where Afrikaans is the main language spoken, there will be a need for Afrikaans schools. Secondly, language preference depends on the people, not how “evolved” a language is. If most people are Afrikaans, that’s the language of that area. It varies considerably around South Africa. Fact is, isiZulu is the main language, followed by isiXhosa, Afrikaans and English.

I wish you could see how well we get along we share the same meals , we share the same laughs and cries.
So from my understanding i dont think the government should abolish Afrikaans exclusive schools but rather encourage Afrikaans schools to make space for English so we can enjoy a lovely meal together as South Africans 🇿🇦❤️

Yet the same people are not talking about the 2500 teachers losing their jobs in the Western Cape. This has been spring on us. The heads of department are mostly out of touch with the different schools. They expect what works for one would work for another and that is never the case. Many coloured kids go to Afrikaner schools because they speak Afrikaans. My friends were at Afrikaner schools as early as 1993.
Now is the time for the DA to put in every effort to get Ramaphosa jailed for Phala Phala and all the other offences.

I think it's ludicrous that the government would seek to remove one of only two of South Africa's eleven official languages, which features abstract constructs. Given its roots in Dutch, Flemish and German, Afrikaans is far more evolved than 81% of the official languages in South Africa. Language informs culture - so this decision will further devolve South Africa.

Firstly, I don’t believe the government is trying to remove Afrikaans. Too many people speak Afrikaans as their home language.
It all depends on the area a school is in.
Where Afrikaans is the main language spoken, there will be a need for Afrikaans schools.
Secondly, language preference depends on the people, not how “evolved” a language is.
If most people are Afrikaans, that’s the language of that area. It varies considerably around South Africa.
Fact is, isiZulu is the main language, followed by isiXhosa, Afrikaans and English.
