You hit the nail on the head Mike. The DA got bent over the ANC’s knee and took such a hiding in these GNU negotiations. For all the praise and respect Helen gets and people saying how tough she is, she and the negotiating team got schooled. And they can’t see it for some reason, which is infuriating.
Based on the number of ministers and ministries the ANC received, you’d think the ANC got 49% of the vote and the DA 8%.

The DA is the only political party in SA that puts the interests of SA as a country first, before even its own best interests!!
Our country is in a much better position with the GNU in place than it was before the 2024 elections!!
Our currency is stabilising, the petrol price is dropping, interest rates are starting to ease, but most importantly, Investors are starting to take an interest in SA again!!
This will grow our economy and create much needed jobs for unemployed South Africans, making our country a much better place to live in!!

I watched an ANC video (courtesy of Ronaldo Gouws) where the audience was told that if they voted ANC they would be able to walk into ANY SA hospital, including private hospitals, and get free treatment because the ANC government would pick up the bill.

DA needs to urgently start EDUCATING voters... too many are clueless about how it works and how to make a rational, educated and sensible decision. And especially in the RURAL areas. Glad to see someone else see it like I do. If you want to defeat the ANC & even more so MKP then best all those who split the vote be like minded and get behind the DA. It will take all the smaller parties many years to build anything big enough to beat these 2 communistic parties. It has taken the DA all of these 30 years to achieve their status as the biggest opposition. The voters need to think outside the box rather than be swayed in hope with small parties.

No, I’m saying that in order to make your mark as a good leader of a political party you would need to start by having a seat in parliament. You can’t lead effectively outside of government.

Self-enrichment for a few elite politicians (aka BEE), while their voters are kept uneducated and on grants (aka poor), so they can continue to push their race hustling and bullshit agendas to remain relevant.
Somehow Mandela's message to forgive and move forward (aka build a rainbow nation for all) has been forgotten.

Why didn't those things you mentioned happened before❓ Some of us are tired to be always threatened just because you desparatly want us to vote for your federal Democratic Alliance. Another problem with the MPC was that there was a void of a real big consolidated conservative party, excluding the DA. If only the smaller right wing parties can consolidate and pool resources together to form a strong right wing presence in parliament. ACDP, FF+, PA, UIM, etc. must get over themselves and MERGE.

I have many solutions and I never fail to mention them. Be firm about implementing laws including municipal bylaws. As I have said so many times, I am a fan of the GNU, but it only works of the DA stands their ground which they are failing to do. The voters would reward the DA if the party shows some backbone.
