Bear in mind this is well over a year old by now - the veggi burger is so much better than the one shown here for UK McDonalds.. plus they have a rotating menu of stuff every few months or so. So the speciality burgers change.
Your pancakes and our idea of pancakes are different. Plus, the Brits are generally adversed to putting meat in pancakes. We do have breakfast muffins with sausage, bacon and egg in them, but that's limited until 11am, so you gotta get it early in the morning or wait until the next day
I read or was told Mcdonalds staff are taught to pinch the fries box at the bottom to make the box smaller, however if you complain your fries arent full they'll top them up for you (i have, they did)
Try asking for no ice in your cold fizzy drink - almost brings the servery to a standstill! Why? Because they can't rip you off by putting FAR LESS actual drink in the cup!
The thing with the McGriddle is our palates in the UK do not really favour putting sweet things together with savoury things like meat etc. kinda like having pineapple on pizza's.
Watching Yanks put sweet & savoury on the same plate like their version of sweet pancakes often with maple syrup alongside sausages makes me gip. 🤢 It's disgusting!
The best way to decribe cookies and biscuits is, chocolate chip cookies are cookies, obviously. I always say biscuits are the ones u can dip in tea and coffee, that would be a digestive, or a shortbread biscuit, look up foxes biscuit tins.
I'd keep away from all McDonald's wherever you are in the world. Food that doesn't decompose after being left for several years doesn't sound like food to me.
We don't really do pancakes for breakfast over in the UK, no call for a McGriddle here. Most people here eat crepe pancakes on Pancake Day (Shrove Tuesday - The day before the first day of Lent) but not really any other time.
You need to come to Yorkshire for some PROPER, i.e. meat & potato NOT corned beef, hash on pancakes - preferably with Henderson's. Pancakes ARE NOT only for Lent!!
UK McDonalds listen up... please please please bring back the McRib burger. Ow great video, I'm surprised you haven't done a taste testing different World foods.
I guess it’s what your used too. I’ve lived in both countries, cannot eat at the US Mac Donald’s , the additives make me ill. I will never understand why any business needs to add all those chemicals into food.
Mac D’s in the UK will do a - taste the world - Where they’ll sell let’s say they call it a Brazilian burger for a few weeks the next will be the Texas burger (I’m making names up) but they’ll advertise all the burgers at once that’s to try (eventually) but they’ll only deal with the one style at a time then move on to the next dropping the previous one which is pretty cool plus we do have a breakfast menu but come 9am or 10am it’s back to normal menu….
Pancakes are not a thing in the UK where it comes to being a breakfast food. We generally only have them as deserts (generally as a tradition on pancake day) and even then the toppings are usually lemon juice and sugar with maybe some whipped cream if you are being fancy. Also to us the idea of having things like sausage at the same time as maple syrup sounds absolutely gross. Also when your ingredients list goes on longer than the intro crawl from a Star Wars movie there is something deeply wrong with your food culture (and that's just the fries).
@@JustAverageLarry "pancake day", the day before Christian lent begins (they fast for 40 days up until Easter day). Not sure how many people actually practice the fasting. It's obviously not illegal to have pancakes on any other day, but I think most people reserve them for that one day. We have an abundant choice of desserts, so pancakes don't really cross our minds until that one day comes around.
So what you call cookies in the US, we call biscuits in the UK, tho we do still say cookie when referring to stuff like chocolate chip. Your biscuits don't really exist here but scones are kinda similar, but like he said, they're usually eaten with clotted cream and jam as part of a cream tea.
