The original Dune 1984 was the best! The sound track was incredible, the weirding modules were bad ass, and we got the beautiful actress Sean Young. The new DUNE movies are trash! Great movie review. You have a new subscriber.
Of course I enjoyed this one more…my Wifey Florence Pugh is in it 😍😍😍 This movie creates a great cinematic experience! I’m glad that Denis Villeneuve is fighting for that, although he’s being too nippy picky like I read an article that he hates dialogue in movies and blames tv.
Great review as always, Zack! Dune Part Two lived up to the hype and ups the ante. Easily better than the first which I already love by a more engaging story, it balances spectacle and storytelling, the action sequences are exhilarating, the score is powerful and the performances are all terrific from both old and new. It’s everything you could ever ask for in not only sci-fi blockbuster filmmaking but filmmaking in general. Curious to see what could give it a run for its money for my favorite film of 2024.

Fabulous review Zack of Denis Villenhouve's true masterpiece. While Mean Girls was the one great movie we had at the beginning of 2024 all the others were pretty average but then Dune Part 2 comes along and is already a high contender for movie of the year. Dune Part 1 to me was fine but just a warm up film, Part 2 is 10 times better not only I'm terms of action and pacing but the stakes for our heroes are raised big time. Visually it's out of this world, one of the most beautiful looking sci fi movies ever made, the climax is off the charts epic and the ending went in a shocking direction that I did not expect that made me so eager for Part 3. Zendaya steals the entire show as Chani after being in Part 1 so little and Austin Butler gives a even better performance here than in Elvis. This has just dethroned Blade Runner 2049 as Denis Villenhouve's best. I'd give Dune Part 2 5 stars out of 5!
Great review Zach. Truly loved this film ! New LOTR is true, I wonder how Dune will look once Messiah is done as well. Like I love LOTR but I will always welcome a new trilogy to love just as much !!
@@ZackGoller I can't wait for messiah to bring it all together. It's going to be monumental 😊 dune part 1 has almost become a comfort film like lotr to me. So to be able to go one day "want a dune marathon" will be incredible
Phenomenal review Zack and I agree this movie was the bomb I was blown away by how good it was when I saw it got me pumped for part 3 everyone did great and it was full of surprises that's for sure
It's so unlikely. In fact, it seems to be gaining momentum and steam. They have enough source material to do at least 4 more movies, but no way Denis directs them all but we can dream. Agree with you about LOTR, but more like this generation's Marvel or Star Wars or yes, Hobbit. Thing is, I don't think they can produce them fast enough. I am kind of stunned that they pulled it off because I consier Part 1 a bit of a flop, but Part 2 was decent to the point where fans wanted more. I never in a million years thought that audiences would get an acceptable Dune but we are kind of hear. Part 3 will be even better than Part 1 and 2. You can see the trajectory. It's going higher and better in this series.
Well keep in mind that Part 1 was released in theatres AND Max simultaneously, so it wasn't going to pull in a big box office return regardless. I'm glad to see that Part 2 is pulling in a lot of coin.
