It’s the unspoken words that’s scary because honestly she couldn’t talk to Gavin because she knew he was grieving. She felt awful and was stuck in her grief and trying to move forward professionally as well.

The first movie Gavin was trying to talk to Pat but she couldn’t opening up for whatever reason. That’s frustrating and disappointing which makes sense why Gavin moved on to drinking his problems away. It’s like displayed emotions. They needed counseling , prayer and time to heal individually and together.

Angela had me rolling the whole first half of this movie - i was surprised that none of the female leads won any NAACP image awards especially Jill as Sheila. The bottle over ole boy head was felt throughout the theater.
Pat killed her child and husband. She was an unhinged woman trying to be perfect. Gavin was a pushover who didn’t express himself. Angela was the realest one, she just needed Marcus to be honest about how he felt, which is why she felt justified in cheating on him. Dianne was a narcissist and Terry was a gaslighter. Mike was an asshole who was verbally and emotionally abusive while Sheila was a broken woman who’s never had a man truly love her for her. They were all damaged and needed real therapy.
Mike was physically abusive too and how was terry a gaslighter? And why you say it like she meant to kill her child? She didn’t kill her husband her husband killed himself by driving off speeding. She started all of that by robbing her and manipulating her and the bank to give him all her hard earned money.

Angela was the realest one, she just needed Marcus to be honest about how he felt, which is why she felt justified in cheating on him. Dianne was a narcissist and Terry was a gaslighter. Mike was an asshole who was verbally and emotionally abusive while Sheila was a broken woman who’s never had a man truly love her for her. They were all damaged and needed real therapy.
Mike was physically abusive too and how was terry a gaslighter? And why you say it like she meant to kill her child? She didn’t kill her husband her husband killed himself by driving off speeding. She started all of that by robbing her and manipulating her and the bank to give him all her hard earned money.
