- Mark Mellott making the 7th ascent of one of Mount Lemmon's hardest sport climbs, HEBE (5.14-) May 8th, 2019. The route was first climbed in 1991 by Dan Michael after being tried by the locals that bolted the line. Since then, repeats have been quite elusive, with the last 4 ascents occurring in the last 7 years.
A climactic end to this season at Beaver Wall. Tucson, AZ.

One of the more badass lines I have seen in a while. What a fantastic climb! I just want to try it!! 😂
That first shot is so sick
My finger tendons hurt just watching this
that runout at the end, that would have been a hell of a whipper 😨
Yeah I was getting anxious watching after seeing him skipping past both of those last clips
this film is fantastic
1:16 I would have lost it if he sent in those sun glasses, Haha.

Dope

Does he have a brother named Hutch?
Great climb...but im afraid see down...😣
Free solo el capitán
No entiendo por qué la ruta está equipada. Por qué? Buena ruta
es muy popular, y también es estándar que una ruta tan popular de este grado esté equipada.
People trying to make a name for themselves by disfiguring the rock with fucking bolts . It's time for park authorities to ban them.
What makes that grade so hard? The holds mostly, right?
And how many moves the good holds are apart from each other...lack of resting positions
@Mike Rothwell It could be a number of things, but the level of difficulty, a particular sequence of moves on poor holds.
😎
Drilled??
👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👍
Fack yea dude
Apa untungnya??
5.13d?
no, mountain project comments confirm that it is harder than 5.14a.....I don't know where the link is to the comments but, I remember reading it is more like in the mid grade being b/c possibly towards the upper end of that grade too.......Is what a couple people said.
Cool points 10/10 for the hat and hair.
Dumbass points 10/10 for the no helmet call.
Kid A it’s not that type of loose rock
@@catch2297 You trying to tell me that wearing a helmet is a bad idea here?
Mark’s hair is the source of his send power. If he were to put a helmet on and try to send it would explode almost immediately
what u say is as logic as climbing with helmet in ifcs comps
@@javierbescos856 wanna say that in English?
