UNCUT: Dominatrix Without Mercy (V5 R)
Quick Hit: Cochise Bouldering // Another old-school Cochise Stronghold toprope problem turned into a classic modern highball. Adrian Montaño on "Dominatrix Without Mercy" (V5 R).
Filmed on the ancestral lands of the Chiricahua Apache people.
Also simply referred to as "The Dominatrix", this 30-foot, overhanging, left-leaning finger crack was first put up on TR by John Sherman & Dick Cilley, and later led by Todd Skinner. Situated just off the Cochise Nature Trail Boulders, it stands among other 1980's TR problems like The Ski Jump & Pistols in Paradise that have been "bouldered" in recent years.
Thanks to Christopher Grayson for planting the seed as this was something we had discussed here & there over the years as something that could be bouldered. After The Ski Jump, Tears in the Garden, & Run Cried the Crawling, it only made sense to circle back to the trail boulders and revisit this one. Miss ya man, can't wait till you're back in the Southwest.

That bolt is clipped wrong and it’s ruining the vibe

Is it back clipped? It seems sort of sideways somehow
@@theflaggeddragon9472the bolt hanger is at the wrong angle. It's not what most people would call back clipped. In this weird case the draw would probably hang better if the gates were facing away from the climber.
