Smooth Sailing (5.12)
Quick Hit // Emily Clark and Eric Rhicard on a fresh Reef mini rig, "Smooth Sailing" (5.12). Technical face climbing, micro edging, and glassy granite make this a newer route worth getting on.

Lost in the Shower (5.14-) First Ascent

Not the usual format of video, but it is the only footage of Mount Lemmon's hardest route to date "Lost in the Shower" (5.14-) put up in September, 2022. Excuse the audio-less drone footage but enjoy long cuts of rock climbing during one of the days on the route. Thanks Mark for being willing to help capture some of this. You know what I love about slab? Nothing. It sucks and stupid and dumb and I hate it. Good job, though!

So good! More of this kind of action please!!!

Mount Lemmon, AZ
That wall is stellar
I love steep 5.12 jug hauls!!
perfect video, so fun to watch her climb
You guys are so inspiring, I'm an old school dude who did the FA of The Wasteland and many others around Tucson with Karl Rickson back in the day, but you lads are pioneering in a way we never dreamed. Really great films, great vibe, and I'm totally in awe of the routefinding, we probably gazed at many of your lines but never thought possible. Feels like the same spirit of exploration as Karl and I and others wandered around the Stronghold and Mt. Lemmon back in the day. Love your work, really makes me smile >>>
so cool.
Moustrooi
Hiked it! Stone is so beautiful!
Thanks for sharing this! I'll never climb this, but this clip represents everything I love about climbing.
this route look amazing
When is the best time of year to spend time at this crag?
Very cool, but why no shots of the system working in a real life scenario? Would be nice to see some TRS falls and how the device stays up etc
those were included in the insta reel, youtube shorts limited to a minute so i cut those clips.
Adrian Montaño: freaking great hike on a hard route. Mark Mellott: cinematography rocks. What drone did you use? Jack Hereford and Chris Grayson, not sure where you fit in this film but hats off to you on the contribution.
DJI Mavic Mini 2. The people named are the people who were there for the first ascent, and helped contribute the most as far as time & effort put into the route, no matter what side of the rope they are on.
Incredible drone shots and cinematography. Loved the mix of "freezing my tips off", the send and the story of what it took to get there. Enjoy your youth....it's so fleeting. At 63, watching the climbing at this level vicariously is the best I can do when it comes to this grade. What drone did you use?
#adrianfangurl
looks hard for 13b! solid
Its not a WOR sesh until you do a line of gummy bears off the pad
Stunning route.
wow
The story....the footage...this beautiful route...its all about the essence of climbing...of live. Thanks for sharing
Another future Darwin Award recipient. LOL

You did great, congratulations on overcoming these challenges!🥰
Rest in peace Maya

Everything was excellent : the route, the climbing, the footage, even the bolting. What an FA ! Sorry fo ya friend bro. Keep doing what you love, and that was a perfect example of it.
Amazing. Beautiful. Love this area. I know where the term Nine Mile Cigarette comes from (thanks, JP) but how does it fit in to the route name?
Really great and inspiring!
