As far as I know, the second is there to check the guns to make sure they're working fine and nobody's cheating or sabotaging, and also potentially to stand in for you if you're injured or killed, so there's some danger to it as well. Apparently this was a real thing, where people sometimes duelled with no intention to actually kill each other, and they would purposefully shoot wide, and then the matter would be considered settled, more of a formality than anything. It was more a matter of the challenged proving that he was at least willing to risk his life to restore his honour, and the challenger willing to risk his life to defend his honour, blah blah, since you never knew for sure whether your opponent would spare you. Then they'd both walk away with their honour restored. But of course sometimes people would also really intend to kill each other.
19:54 Daphne has more motivation to get up her dream of having kids because 1) she wanted to marry for love and she gets that, 2) she stops the man that she loves and her brother from being killed, 3) she stops the ruin that would befall on her family, and 4) the prince is no longer an option.
12:43 You said about Simon, "your dad is dead" as if that is enough to erase a lifetime of emotional abuse by his father. If only life were so easy that after your tormentors are dead, the torment they inflicted on you goes to the grave with them instead of staying with you. The idea that Simon should forget about the promises he made to himself because he fell in love with a girl that he's been with for two weeks, a girl who told him, I'm not interested in you and you have to help me find a husband, a girl who thinks he's not husband material, I could keep going, but it's weird to suggest that Simon should just get over it. When he kisses a girl, he knows that lots of girl would respond the same way as Daphne whether they loved him or not, so he doesn't see the same thing as you see. He sees, I'm in love with this girl and she's not in love with me but she's being forced into something that she doesn't want, and I won't do that to her.

I bust out laughing everytime when Archibald Featherington starts crying to his wife lmfaoooo
His father is never going to know whether he kept his word or not. He died thinking it would happen. That's what counts.
Omg I just finished watching this episode like 5 minutes ago😭😭 your reactions got me to watch the show and its so good
Good luck with the next few eps bruh 😭I watched ep 7 today haha!

That might not have been the best dance to propose during.

Colin to the rescue 😂
I think the prince is nice.
This is such a Wallace & Gromit romance--do you like cheese? I like cheese too.
This was a toxic show for the next few eps lol complicated but I still enjoyed
Yup, did eps 6 & 7 and I’m so confused with what the tone is going for now 😂
Poor Marina 😩
The prince hate is real
