Hello Sir , The MDT chassis does not have to be removed for the tuning as you can access the regulator true the slots on the side of the chassis ( small logo ) and the hammerspring adjustment can be done also with the chassis on you just need a ball allen key to adjust both .
That is great news I will be shooting it this afternoon I have a bunch of slugs to test. I will correct my mistake in saying the chassis has to come off. I have a question in one of the Utah airgun videos they are showing tuning the DRS classic lowering the regulator pressure turning the regulator clockwise with out degassing the regulator. Is that safe to do?
@@myairgunrange That would be nice if you could correct that 😉 it’s no problem to turn the regulator down under pressure as long as you do it max 1/4 turn at a time with some shots in between to cycle the regulator.
I've been shooting my DRS Pro .25 700 and I think it is Awesome! I have been shooting the H&N 40gr heavy slugs @975 fps with the reg set at 147bar. It has the match grade trigger, slug power and 1:16 slug liner already installed. The trigger is very nice. Way nicer than my M3 trigger. I was able to take it prairie dog shooting this weekend, it is so much nicer to carry than my M3 .25 700 as it has QD swivel cups built in to the chassis, just put on a sling. I don't shoot out to 500 yards like Andy does, but I did take down pdogs at 200 yards. This rifle is perfect for me as I am a set it up to shoot and shoot it guy, no messing around with it, Just Shoot It !
*** NEWS FLASH *** A lot of people want a simple, light weight PCP to just shoot. Seen numerous COMPLAINTS about FX PCPs being too complex. The DRS is the FX offering to that market. Think that FX is also working to address the barrel rigidity concerns that some people have. Many people liked the FX Royale for its simple reliability, I have a 500 and totally agree. I also have a Crown, an Impact and a Panthera and enjoy their tunability. That being said, I have a DRS on order because it is a simple PCP (that can be adjusted to a particular projectile without major disassembly) and shot casually. Just an observation, there are many disciplines and interests in the airgunning world and the manufacturers cater to all of them. It's not realistic to presume that every airgun was designed to your requirements and get "disappointed" when you find out (after you have made a purchase) that it is not ideal for your specific application. Do diligence and your research before purchasing (and a bit of checking how things work - or not - before recording a video on a new to you product). I'm just asking, if you want to shoot really heavy slugs, would a .30 not have been better? Think that the DRS is designed primarily a classic PELLET GUN and that market (hence, the smaller low profile magazine which would allow mounting smaller lighter scopes - YAY!). Think that the PRO version is available for the "maximum crowd" because the (Panthera) valve system can develop the power to drive heavy slugs long distances accurately. It definitely has potential. The DRS might be a good "project gun" for you, for me it's the ideal light weight, simple pcp for stalking squirrels. Sorry that the DRS is not designed to your specifications, each to their own eh! Cheers!
Sorry but I laughed at all the fuss about not shooting the longer slugs. 😂 If you're buying it for a particular projectile (specifically slug), you better DAMN well do your research. 😜
