When a native speaker makes a mistake other native speakers probably don’t even notice.😅
Haha yes! It's always like this hehe
True, as a native English speaker pronunciation is way more important than grammar. We can usually understand what is trying to be said as long as the pronunciation is correct
😄 yes

I've watched your videos for about 3 months. and for those days. and I've searched a lot of English talking vedioes on UA-cam. Today, I found and realized that Veronika, you are really good at speaking English and very good at making up sentences smoothly despite non-native speaker. I respect you sincerely.
I understood 95% of this video! But why can't I talk, I agree with you about feeling scared when I try to speak I imagine someone sitting in my head and judging me 🥲

@@christianmarin2099 hi i have Whatsapp. But if you want i will make Skype !
Oh, it's so nostalgic to come back to your videos. At the beginning of my learning journey, you helped me a lot and kept me motivated. Now, I feel extremely confident in speaking, writing, and listening in English. In summary, anyone who tries to improve their skills every day can become fluent. I believe in that.
Is there a key or some shortcut ?
Hard work is the best shortcut. Not only in language learning. 🙂
Awesome 👍
@@larcegeogriev3810 well to be honest there are a lot of methods but they work differently for everyone so it's kind of hard to explain.

I think we all understand her because she try to speak clearly cause her listeners are don’t native speakers of English) of course it’s harder for us to listen native speakers, they speak basically as always and don’t try to talk well
🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation:
00:25 😕 Learning English can be frustrating, even for non-native speakers.
01:15 🤯 English can be complex with challenging grammar, translation difficulties, and homophones.
02:36 📢 Native speakers also make grammar mistakes, so don't stress too much about minor errors.
04:04 😰 Fear of judgment can hinder English learners, but making mistakes is okay.
04:58 🙌 Connection and communication matter more than perfect English, so don't be afraid to speak.
06:19 🗣️ English pronunciation can be tricky due to inconsistent rules and silent letters.
08:07 🌎 Cultural differences, jokes, and references can impact language use, but it's part of the learning experience.
I learn the English language. Sometimes I feel frustrated, but because of my love for this language, I have the honor to learn it. I hope you learn it soon.

in brief:
In this video, the speaker, a non-native English speaker, shares her thoughts on why people struggle to speak English. The main reasons discussed are:
1-English is a complex language with many rules and exceptions, making it difficult for non-native speakers to fully grasp it.
2-Fear of making mistakes or being judged often stops people from speaking English.
3-Cultural differences and a lack of understanding of cultural references can make communication challenging.
4-English pronunciation can be complex, with silent letters and different accents.
The speaker emphasizes that it's okay to make mistakes and encourages viewers to continue learning and practicing. She also shares examples of common mistakes made by both native and non-native speakers, as well as some cultural differences and a joke. The video aims to provide reassurance and motivation for English learners, reminding them that they're not alone in their struggles.

It is lovely to hear you in this video, Veronika. Since last month I have been watching your UA-cam video, I was a little confused that you didn't look like an American. But in this video you said that you are a Russian native, you have a truly Russian personality. You are explaining every topic very nicely. an American. But in this video you said that you are a Russian native. You are explaining every topic very nicely.
My native language is Bulgarian (another Slavic language), and it is quite different as well. I don't think that the grammar is so difficult, but it is undoubtedly different. Pronunciation is 100% different, and pronunciation + writing are hell for me.
Do you use some special method for learning ?
@@larcegeogriev3810 To be honest, I don't study English anymore. I just use it in my work and watch podcasts, videos in UA-cam. I think that trying to imitate native speakers though is a very good method to practice pronunciation.

Great video! My native languages are Ukrainian and Russian, I also learn English (and use it at work), and now I live in Spain and try to learn Spanish at the same time 🤪🤣🤯
Wow, this is crazy. How were you able to adapt to a new language when you barely learned English?
I'm working on a similar idea as well. What are the three reasons that are keeping you semi fluent. In my opinion, #1 no self belief #2 the mechanics of English #3 lack of practice.
You mention you native language. This definitely is a factor.
