1) Yes, I am using an emulator (until I get a capture card and output adapters for most/all consoles)
2) I've bounced around emulators quite frequently because of testing functionality and reliability. It also depends on the console that you're trying to emulate, of course. Assuming you want to know the emulator for this stream (Crash Bandicoot: Warped on the PS1), I used Retroarch with the PCSXR Core, available free on Steam.
