- After the restoration, and slight mishap (breakdown) on the first ride, I finally get it out for it's first official 'pleasure' ride. Here's a mini review of my first impressions and a chat about its future.

Ah nice to see some new videos of an old blade, I have the 1998 version. Fireblade meet this Sunday at the Triumph factory in Leicester.
@@Blipthethrottle726r Thanks mate… Will see if I can make that if wife hasn’t already planned my weekend ☺️😃🤘🏻
Lovely job🎉
Thanks 🤩
Loved my RRW's so much after crashing one i bought another! Not fast by todays standards but seemed ridiculously quick back then.....
It’s a fantastic machine!! Proper old school compared to modern bikes but still fast enough to ruin your day!! Braking needs carful planning though 😁😅
Lovely. Rode mine for the 1st time last week off the moving trailer....straight to the dealer shop. A quick 30 sec ride through the parking lot. Felt good.
Thanks mate… It’s an amazing bike! Hope you have many fun miles with yours as I hope to get out of mine ☺️🙌🤘🏻
Once your confidence grows in the roadworthiness of the bike and your repairs I can imagine you having fun riding it at full song. I'm also glad you clarified the V4 is superior I almost had to send the boys round.
hahahah I would not wanna get on the wrong side of the V4 Boyz!! I would still say 100% that the VFR's V4 purring heart is probably the best engine ever made!! the VFR in itself is probably the best bike ever made.... I know you're gonna hate me but I think the 750 is the best of the bunch! I may though be biased 😄
The Fireblade though is a beast upon itself... Not as refined or gentlemanly as the VFR but an insane beast that will break your neck if not treated with the respect it needs!! Brakes are shite though for a 170mph bike!! Proper old school!
These were great bikes and still are to some degree. I have a 98 which has a full Akra, jet kit, rebuilt brakes and suspension and a 17" front wheel. It's fun but I honestly wouldn't say it's fast.
It may not be as fast as a modern 200bhp Sport or Hyper naked but come on' it's still a missile when cranked open 😊
@@TheBucksBiker-lh2nm It's quick enough for the road!
You'll be tweaking the clutch cable adjuster throughout the year while you ride, summer is great but in winter I find it can be a bastard🤣
I already hate the thing... Trouble routing it! Trouble adjusting it!! I think you're right that it's gonna be a right pain in the arse 😂
I love my old RRV, they do need to be ridden in the higher revs to get the most out of it, they're pretty lethargic under 8k.
My thoughts exactly... Seem slow and heavy but then when in the right range become a rocket!! I'm in love with it 😊
@TheBucksBiker-lh2nm as for the screen, keep it if you like it! It's your bike fella, I had a tinted one on mine but it'd vibrate and but at certain rpm and drove me insane. Swapped it back in the end.
@@twowheelsquirrel It's an odd one... Hated it sooooo uch now love it soooo much!! Matches my yellow socks LOL
Still, can be changed at any time...
I watch these videos and I keep hearing bikes having a wristy riding position ,
just a thought on this matter isn't the problem weak core muscles that forces you to put your body weight on to your wrists rather than carrying your body weight in your abdomen lower back pelvic and thigh muscles?
Quite possibly… It’s also that my other bikes don’t have such an extreme position. I know, from experience, that after a while it gets normal and the feeling goes away.
Compared to my Naked Speed Triple and VFR750 the bars are further away and lower down… Which of course bring the body further down to assist with aereo dynamics.
@@TheBucksBiker-lh2nm I think you got the right Blade for you .
Your generation of fireblade is pure comfort in comparison to the sports bikes that followed .
@@ThomasDoubting5 it’s the dream bike of when I was young… It’s a pure sensation overload riding this old school beast. No rider aids, abs, just you, the bike, the road, and certain death if you ride like an idiot.
@@TheBucksBiker-lh2nm good on you , lovely looking bikes , Im looking at getting the 400 RR (NC29)
@@ThomasDoubting5 now that’s an awesome bike… Hope you find one 🤩
Good review sir, Do you do tool reviews? We would like to invite you to review our portable air pump. How can we connect with you?
Morning and thanks for the nice comment... I've done gear reviews and camera videos so could maybe help. You can send a mail to: k_fisher_uk@yahoo.co.uk

@@Vivianauxito thanks… I’ve replied with the details requested. 😊
Power won't be instant in sixth at fifty mph😂
I know… Was just comparing to the same speeds on my other 2 bikes. It’s my first time with an inline.. Really different how the power is delivered. What a beast though! Fantastic bike 🤩
